This small guesthouse is not fancy, but is nevertheless very recommended. The owner clearly has put effort into giving it a distinctive character, and that effort has paid off. The room (#2) was simple yet comfortable and practical. Everything was very clean, the bed was firm but comfortable, and the bathroom--although small--worked well. The location is very convenient for exploring the Green Point and V&A Waterfront neighbourhoods by foot. There are a number of restaurants within a few minutes walk, including a very good Portuguese one. If I'm in Cape Town in the future, I would look to stay here again.

The property was truly great for our group of 7 (3 adults and 4 kids). The beds in the rooms were comfortable and even though small we all enjoyed warm showers everyday. The bonus of the location is that it is walking distance to The V&A Waterfront, which was excellent for the kids as well as Sea Point. Deon, our host was great and very patient when asked questions.
Nothing to complain about

Excellent location. Very comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Lots of storage space. A minibar, hairdryer, fan, heater, kettle, plates, mugs and cutlery available in each room. Deon is an amazing host. House on the Hill is one of our favourite places to stay in Cape Town due to its perfect location (within walking distance from the Waterfront, Sea Point, lots of restaurants and the Bo-Kaap).
There was nothing not to like. Everything was perfect. It exceeded our expectations.

Very nice place to stay, spacious room and the location could not be better. Walking distance to Waterfront, short walk to Sea Point promenade. Its in a quiet street. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean. I used it to sleep only as I stayed out exploring the city during the day and had no need for TV or daytime sofa. The room had a kettle and a fridge, plenty of storage space.

The location was absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the area and enjoy everything nearby. The room itself was spotless—cleanliness and tidiness were truly out of this world. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, for Green Point, Cape Town Stadium, and the Waterfront. Good value considering the location. The colour scheme of the room was a bit funky, but I appreciated access to a kettle, fridge, and working kitchen on the property.
The WiFi went down during my stay, but it was a temporary issue.

It felt cosy. It was tucked away out of the hustle and bustle of life yet it was close and central to everything important and worth seeing to us. Management was very helpful with some of our urgent requests.
The people smoking outside our window in the courtyard, which is closest to room number 2. Closing the window helped in eleviating this discomfort. If folks sit outside in the courtyard to chat you can hear everything. Closing the window helped a little bit but you still get the gist of the conversation.

Thank you to Laurent (housekeeper) for treating us so well. His character and willingness to go out his way for us made our stay extra special. Location is ideal for moving around the city, walking distance to the stadium, waterfront, restaurants and the waterfront. The room was neat and tidy had all we needed for stay. We will be returning soon.

The place is nice. Quite and close to the Waterfront (about 15-20 min walking).. We did not see anybody on the reception except for the first day, but it did not bother us. I lived that thety left for us us coffee AND milk in the fridge - that was very good touch. Also the shower gel and shampoo smelled amazing! I would recomment this place.
Little things that are not worth mentioning..
