We really liked the location for access to museums and green spaces. The view of Table Mountain and Lion’s Head were wonderful. Though Cape Town is exceptionally beautiful, we were surprised by the nearly universal presence of high fences and walls—often topped by barbed wire or electrified wires—creating an atmosphere of division and restrictiveness. We were happy to be staying at iKhaya, where the doors opened to the outside and the public, fostering engagement. The Lodge provided sufficient security so that we still felt safe.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The location and lodge’s interior—design, art, facilities—were in all ways appealing.

I love the personal. From the first miniute, I felt safe and welcomed - It was truly a good place to work and move around the city - The Lodge is very well located close to Long and Kloof Street and all amenities near by. With Roxy's Late Night and Maria's Greek you have two very dope restaurants across the street. The room itself was cozy and is perfect for single travelers and couples. It will get cleaned everyday by staff and on top of that - you can enjoy homemade breakfast with all your wishes. WIFI is quite strong and allows you to work easily remote!

When you have other guests staying in the room next to yours, the walls might become rather audible. I didn't have an issue with it, but it's nice to know.

The location of the accommodation is extremely good, Dunkley Square also provides entertainment in the evening, while the city center is a few minutes' walk away (during the day). The atmosphere of the rooms is great, the view of the Table Mountain from the rooms with a balcony is fantastic (not all rooms face the mountain, and they don't have a balcony either, but they are larger and have a refrigerator). The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff is extraordinary. We'll be back!

The hotel is full of interesting details, in an excellent location, and within walking distance of the city center. The room has a comfortable bed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room has no air conditioning or fridge, but this was not stated on the booking either.

Considering the heat, it would be good for the rooms to have air conditioning, and the breakfast could be a little better.

The location is great, very central and some nice food and drink options on your doorstep. Maria's is an institution and we went there straight away for mezze. The breakfast at iKhaya was basic but a nice filler to start the day on, and the staff are lovely - very friendly and helpful.

It was really hot while we were there and the fan wasn't really enough to cool us down.

Staff are attentive, friendly and kind. Clean and comfortable room, serviced daily. Excellent breakfast. African themed decor. Good security and not affected by power cuts/load shedding. Maria’s restaurant across the square is a very good Greek Restaurant. Roxy’s pub is also in the square which serves pub food and a great selection of drinks. You can get a good coffee and a donut next door at Grumpy and Runt during the day.

A bit of noise from the square at night but it didn’t bother us too much as it was convenient having the restaurant and pub close by. It was lively and fun vibe. Can close windows and doors to block noise.

Excellent location; easy walk to Company Gardens, museums, and Kloof area. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Lovely spot on the square; we recommend a meal at Maria’s. I will always stay here when in Cape Town.

Rooms can be a little warm. Fan was provided and the patio doors can open, which helped a good deal.

Hotel has lots of character, it's in a neighborhood that feels local, not touristy. I loved my balcony. The breakfast was great and the staff was always happy to answer questions and provide guidance. I would definitely come back.

Some nights were really hot. There is no A/C. I think in general it's not needed, but would have been nice on one or two occasions. -There was a fan, which helped.

We like the location and all the staff were very friendly and helpful the hotel was decorated with authentic African art

The only thing that in my opinion maybe they shouldn't have painted the wooden doors and ceiling white leaving them original wood colour would make it more authentic just saying.

Very clean rooms, great facilities and customer service is of a 5 star hotel! All the staff are super helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was À la carte, very fresh and just enough to kickstart a busy day. They served an excellent selection and their omelets were super delicious! Ruth and her staff go out of their way to meet your requests.

A mini-bar/ small fridge in the room would be great! But everything else was superb!
