Fantastic shabby chic hotel in the heart of long street. Loved the corner room, full of original character. The new owners are working very hard to make it a great place to stay. Massive thank you to Ramano & Claire and all your amazing staff for a memorable stay. Cant wait to visit Cape Town again and would definitely return to your hotel. Brian & Clare
It can be a bit noisy at the weekend, but you are bang in the middle of the best street in Cape Town 😀 Talking to the owners they are working very hard to sound proof all rooms to make your stay a pleasant one. There's a old saying, if you cant beat them, join them😂 and enjoy the night life of Long Street.

My stay at the establishment was outstanding from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. They managed to be attentive without intruding on my privacy. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room, bathroom, and shower were. The linens were among the cleanest I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in.
I experienced some difficulty with my key when opening the front door—sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn’t. However, I think it might have been an error on my part. Regardless, it wasn’t an issue, as I could simply ring the bell, and someone would promptly open the door for me at any time, day or night.

Minus the noise at night from the club next door, it was a good stay. The staff was nice and cooperative. Day or night, I never felt unsafe outside the hotel--- of course, one must always be street smart. There were nice eating places near the hotel. It was good value for money.
1. The noice at night from the club next to the hotel. 2. I made the full payment in advance through "booking.com". However, while checking in, the receptionist was not aware of this. This created a lot of confusion which was ultimately cleared.

V friendly and comfortable boutique hotel. Good secure access and 24/7 reception. And a lovely balcony on my room - perfect for sitting out in the cool early morning for a cup of tea.,
Liked pretty much everything. Other reviews have mentioned the noise. Guys - this hotel is on Long Street! It is party-town! Bars, clubs, restaurants, "coffee" shops. So it is v busy outside BUT I managed to sleep fine for several nights without earplugs. It is certainly NOT silence, but it is not that bad :-)

Staff were amazing had a little hiccup when checking in but they sorted it out and we enjoyed our stay there.
The only thing we weren't too happy about was that you had to pay R100 per day for parking as they have no parking themselves so you need to park at a church next door. The parking was safe though and a short walk to the hotel.I would advise booking parking with them before hand as they have limited places.

Great location. Long Street is the backpacker heart of Cape Town, or it was. Still very lively. Feel gritty, little bit dirty, but honest. Great places to eat, have a beer. Can be a bit noisy, but the bedroom of my apartment was set away from the street so it didn't bother me. Another positive aspect for the hotel is secure parking at St Martini's @ zar 100 per day. Very useful.
Nothing really.

I loved the rooms. They looked clean and well maintained. Staff was available to satisfy any request and also helped us to find nice restaurants for dinner. Overall a very nice experience.
We had an issue on the first night with water in one of our rooms (we booked for 2 rooms as it was 3 of us). My friend and I had to change the room and we got a very nice upgrade. However, the water was missing again and we had to wait for the next morning to have the problem solved. Staff was kind enough to let us use a third room's bathroom. In addition, the hotel had a club underneath and music was very loud even at the second floor. Wouldn't recommend for light sleepers. The area is very characteristic but wouldn't recommend to people who prefer calm residential areas.

The hotel rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Chido was an exceptional help and made sure we were comfortable.
I didn't appreciate that the room we booked wasn't available because of the hotel over booking, so our first night wasn't great. Chido did make an effort to make us comfortable, we did appreciate that. I would also encourage them to get a backup system for when there is loadshedding. We didn't feel safe when there was loadshedding because the main entrance stayed open and anybody could've followed us in during that time of night.

The location was well for going outside, if you wanted to have some drinks or partying. The room was nice but the toilet was really small. The parking is next to the hotel, but you have to pay 100R each day, and leaving it in the street its not safe. You can walk in the street with care.
.if you want to sleep, this is just not your place. You can listen quite well the music outside, from the afternoon until 3 in the morning. Small toilet. Paying for the parking lot. You have to be with care if you go outside, with no valuables, and there are lots of beggers that will ask you money or food all the time, even walking at your side for minutes asking without stop.

It is well situated and many facilities nearby
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on whether you like to party or not, there are many clubs nearby and it's a bit difficult to sleep at night, but the hotel had tried to put double glazing but sound got into the room. But besides that the people working there are just marvelous
