Amazing staff. Super Friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with all bookings and transport. Shuttle to Waterfront was fantastic. Room was great with a wrap around balcony. Breakfast was great. Overall, I would stay there every time I visit Cape Town ONLY because the hotel team made us feel like home and took care of all our requests and made our stay memorable.

NOTHING. Everything was amazing. A few more wine selections would have helped but it didnt really matter when you are in Cape Town (wine country)

The overall appearance is luxurious

Ive been a regular guest at the hotel these past 2 years, and The rooms are starting to show wear. Little things like the scuffed marks on the headboard and bathroom cabinets, the kitchenette doors are hanging loose. Also, its so noisy in the area, at night. I also dont think the reception staff should be standing atound chatting loudly.

The location was excellent, close to Waterfront, and also to restaurants and coffeeshops. There are many handicraft stores around the hotel. It was quite safe for walking around with my kids and family.

I expected to be able to park the car at the Hotel's parking, but unfortunately there is no parking at the hotel. There is a parking space adjacent to the hotel that you must pay for it.

Lovely welcome from staff, the hotel is clean and modern. The location is in a busy area with lots and bars around. I'm not sure if it's safe to walk around during the night, so we didn't go out. The restaurant is lovely with regards to the main menu and breakfast. We opted for the half board option. This wasn't great as there was one menu with 2 options for main and starters. The menu doesn't change daily, so if you are there for more than one night , you're limited. We were told we could upgrade to the main menu and thought the understanding was we would pay the difference in the price, ie the hotel deduct the 380 rand from our bill which was the allowance of the half board menu, we would pay the extra. One evening, a manager came to us and thought we were taking advantage because we were ordering from the main menu. We explained that the hb menu wasn't acceptable for guest staying 5 nights and wasn't expecting the hotel to swallow the cost, we was happy to pay the extra cost from the main menu, as we didn't want to eat the same food every evening. It turns out we didn't eat for 2 nights at the hotel anyway, so they got more money out of us in the end. The manager who spoke to us made me feel slightly uncomfortable about the whole thing, but the lady manager was very nice and totally understood our issue. The pool area isn't the best. I was slightly disappointed with this area, you cannot buy a drink up there, there isn't any atmosphere . It didn't reflect the picture advertised. There can be a lot of noise in the evening, cars screeching about, we also had noise from a drill over the road waking us up a 7.15am , this wasn't to much of a problem as we were going out on day trips anyway but could have been an issue if we wanted a lay in, it would have been nice to have been informed of the building works prior to our visit, to give us the options to rebook if we weren't happy.

Clean, well organised, beautiful rooms

It is not the hotel’s fault but there are night clubs around the hotel and they play very loud music until 4am.

The staff were so welcoming and willing to go the extra mile with anything we needed. IThe room was lovely and well equipped, bedding was lovely and crisp. My son said it was the best hotel he’s ever ever ever stayed in and promises to come back soon! Hopefully he’s paying next time 🤣 have coeliac disease and the chef was so kind to make me something safe to eat. We didn’t get to experience much of the facilities due to our tight schedule but from what I did see - everything was lovely and a real treat. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was traveling as a single woman with two small children, the only thing I was a little nervous of was walking around the surrounding areas. I didn’t feel safe to do so we caught Ubers, it was a very quick and easy process. The hotel is very centrally situated and easy to get to most highlights of Cape Town.

Pepper Tree honestly exceeded my expectations. The Staff at this hotel were really professional, kind and helpful; right from pick up at the airport to the reception, cleaning staff and spa staff. The room was beautiful, neat and clean; the bed was super huge and comfortable. Each time house keeping would clean the room; they'd leave a complementary piece of chocolate on the bed and I found this gesture really sweet. If you are a solo female traveler travelling either for business or pleasure, I highly recommend this place as it is absolute value for money. They do have free shuttles to the V&A Waterfront and Camps Bay at scheduled times which is a bonus point.

Liked the free shuttle service to malls and beach. The dedicated changerooms and showers at beach. The customer service from front desk, concierge and restaurant, especially the old lady who cleans the restaurant!! Good breakfast. Good working spaces, conference room. Nice movie facility. And stunning vip lounge.

The construction in area caused mosquitoes and the noisy neighbors can Botha light sleeper. Hotel is located in close proximity to many things unfortunately this means many neighbors are night clubs. Okay for party people but not for families or light sleepers.

I genuinely appreciated nearly every aspect of my experience at Pepperclub Hotel. From the initial communication with the staff prior to our arrival to the moment we stepped into the hotel the service was exceptional, I found the establishment to be stunning, complemented by excellent facilities and services. I particularly valued the shuttle services to the V&A Waterfront and the availability of changing and locker rooms in Camps Bay for guests. This arrangement allowed us to fully enjoy our time at the beach and in the restaurant without the concern of managing our day luggage.

The aesthetic appeal of the pool area requires improvement. Additionally, the lunch and dinner menu of the restaurant needs some refinement. A hotel of that standard should provide a better culinary experience for its dinner service.
