There are many things that I liked about the hotel and at the top are the Staff and Service. So many of the staff were friendly and helpful that it is a pity I did not take note of all their names. Junaid, Zuleiga, and so many others really should be mentioned. Breakfast was good and diverse and the egg station lady was very accommodating. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Laundry service was a bit slow for dry cleaning but good. Housekeeping lady dried my rain drenched clothes and refused to charge me for this. Hotel pool terrace area was not attractive due to the Sheesha /Argyla there. Reliable taxis are easily summoned by reception. A small prayer room on Mezzanine floor is a nice touch. Airport pick up and drop off were reliable and added value. Again, staff are extremely helpful and make a difference.
The main issue with the hotel is something they cannot do much about - the location. It is good for work and if you have business in the CBD, but I repeatedly asked if I could walk in the area after sunset and I was advised not to. I felt however that you can at times, especially in groups and one option is to engage one of the many security guards who have been allocated to keep an eye out in the area and have them accompany you. I expected the hotel room to have certain amenities such as ear buds and bathroom slippers. Room service menu is a bit limited but there are many good restaurants within walking distance.

Room size is comfortable, very friendly staff, good halal breakfast and excellent location closeby many restaurants and cafes.
Majority of the time, the room service cleans but doesn't refill soaps, tissues, and water. The next day, I keep a note to refill, same, no action, unless you ask them to come and drop you the missing items.

Great central location and all the staff were so friendly and nice. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and cheery. The room was decently large and comfortable. It also had UK and USB sockets which we appreciated so didn't need our adapters.
For a five-star hotel, you'd expect there to be more amenities in the room beyond the basics - no hair conditioner, robes, slippers, vanity kit or even a pen and paper.

It was very cleaned and services are excellent and serve a fare breakfast. I did choose this place twice :)
The housekeepers were not noticing the shower tap broken and kept it until the end of my stay to see if anyone will report it. Also they do not put new bottle of waters on daily basis. Both comments I know for sure if I tell the room services, they would do it immediately, in fact new bottle of waters was brought after my call. .

The room were recently upgraded and very fresh, great size, water supplied. The staff were super helpful and there was bookable shuttle to take you the short 15min walk into V&A Waterfront which was helpful. There were good amenities in the room with shampoo, body wash, shower caps, tea and coffee making. Lots of wardrobe space. Breakfast was varied and fresh the chef on duty was exceptional and cooked your eggs perfectly, I loved poached and a lot of hotels can't do medium but he was super. The check in was super friendly which I loved as some hotels the staff are super grumpy and I sometimes feel like I am an inconvenience. Also check out the lady enquired if we enjoyed our stay. These things make you want to come back.
The pool area is a great space but I did not like the fake grass setting which got super hot, I think this Area could be revamped and made to look a lot better, as you have a lovely view on one side to the mountains. Again the staff here were helpful, I think however there could be a menu at the tables and perhaps a little check if you want drinks as I had to go searching and sometimes people will give up and then the hotels loses revenue.

The staff definitely made this trip a highlight for us, from the front desk to the breakfast team to housekeeping and the concierge. We had such wonderful encounters with all the staff. We stayed for a week and breakfast was great, we didn't get bored and there was ample the chef would accommodate for us. The room was clean and large, the bathroom was also larger than most.
The hotel is located in such a great spot, walking distance to many restaurants, jazz clubs etc but it is unfortunately not safe to walk after dark. Uber is easily available at any time of the day.

The hotel is lovely, and the staff are exceptional very friendly they knew our name from day 1 !!. The bedrooms are very clean and with comfortable beds. The breakfast is very nice with lots to choose from hot and cold buffet. The hotel has a small pool on the mezzanine level with a pool bar next to it with nice seating area in the shade just away from the pool area. There is a nice coffee shop next to reception which serves pastries with some chocolate bites. It’s central to the V&A waterfront the hotel has a courtesy bus to the Waterfront at certain times of the day. Uber is only a 10min drive from the hotel. The city bus tour pick up you can walk to the ticket office from the hotel to catch to nice city tour bus Approx 10-15min walk.
The only issue we had with the hotel was you could not be served alcohol in the dining restaurant next to reception only non - alcoholic drinks served in the restaurant and by next to reception the only bar is down by the pool area which closes promptly at 22:00. The pool is not very big it’s more like a dip pool with sunbeds around the edge.

Our family had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town. The breakfast was delightful, and the room was perfect for our family. Every detail was spot-on, but what made our stay truly special was the staff. Abubakar at the check-in counter was amazing, full of energy, and incredibly helpful. He gave us excellent room options and wonderful local recommendations. They even helped us secure rugby match tickets, making everything seamless. We wished we had stayed longer, as it was an exceptional experience all around.
I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like. If I really had to pick something, I would say that the breakfast area could feel a bit small during peak times. Some guests had to find seating in other parts of the hotel. However, this is not a major issue and seems to be common in many hotels, especially if you arrive late or during the breakfast rush.

The staff at check in were very friendly and enthusiastic and the rooms were tastefully appointed and very neat. The gym was in good shape but one of the key machines wasnt working.
The breakfast is where the property let itself down. There didnt seem to be enough plates at the food stations at any point. The staff werent as helpful as the check in staff and they kept taking my food away everytime I would step up to go get something from the buffet. There was only one person making eggs yet having to deliver 4 eggs benedict for some guests so our simple omlette took ages. Pity.
