Great environment, clean, attentive staff, good food

When we checked in we were told that we booked an owners apartment therefore we were not eligible for breakfast. When we booked, the reason we were attracted to the apartment was that it was being marketed as an apartment under the Taj, it was not marketed as an owners apartment therefore we did not expect to be treated differently from other guests. Some of the furniture in the apartment was damaged and required repairs, I.e., the armchair was torn and the coffee table glass was moving out of place which took some of the "luxury" out of our experience. The booking link should be clear on the issue of the apartment being an owners apartment and what that entails to avoid guests being misled.

We enjoyed our room so much. Waking up to a beautiful fresh morning with a view down St Georges Mall and the Newspaper House was amazing. The heated pool swim was an unforgettable experience and the room service was out of this world. That bed has got to be the most comfortable night's sleep I have ever had! Will definitely be back.

Loved everything. I cannot think of one thing I would be able to complain about. Check in was a bit delayed because we were a last minute booking but the staff were exceptional at handling it and sorting everything out.

Before arriving I was told that breakfast was not included in the price. I phoned and said I had paid on the understanding that it was. I was told that I was correct and my book would be so noted. At the hotel at breakfast I was given a bill for breakfast. Another argument,another apology. My wife and I were celebrating our 62 anniversary and this rather spoilt it.

Our stay at Taj was excellent. We booked through Booking.com almost a year in advance (travelled February 2023) and all was in order with our booking from start to finish. As it was part of our belated honeymoon I wanted to surprise my wife with Champagne and flowers and this was all arranged with the marvellous help of Kobos ( 'K') who arranged all of the above as well as a private car to collect us from the airport. Nothing was too much trouble for 'K' and the expression of delight on my wife's face when she arrived said it all. I cannot thank 'K' or the hotel for everything they did and how much they all did to make our stay memoroable. MR

I was booked into a privately owned two bedroom apartment without prior knowledge. I was only made aware when I arrived at the hotel. My booking included breakfast but the hotel had no knowledge of breakfast inclusion. I had to provide proof that my booking included breakfast. Akhona was able assist me and I was able to enjoy breakfast.

Wow, what a great stay! I'm so glad we decided to book this suite. It turned out to be perfect for our group of three. We had plenty of space to spread out, and the second bathroom was appreciated. The suite was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for a great stay. The staff at the Taj are amazing. From the door staff and front desk team that was welcoming, and remembered everything about us, to the food and beverage team that was always eager to share ideas about how to enjoy Cape Town. I can't remember the last time I encountered a team that was so eager to make for a pleasant stay. I only wished we had more time in Cape Town!

Breakfast is simply incredible. One of the reasons we love this property.

The property claimed to be unique in that it has a sauna in the apartment which is innaccurate as the Sauna is on another floor. Still great.

The location, comfort , the service from concierge team is superb. The owner of the property is amazing….responsive and accommodating!

Nothing really but the food from Bombay Brasserie wasn’t that good. Also the housekeeping staff took a very long time to send us bottled water(only got it after calling them 3x!)

Luxury stay and the apartment exceeded our expectation. Restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating at all times.

Reception staff treated us differently from hotel guests.

Everything was world class and, we enjoyed and loved our stay here. The Luxury family suites are perfect for a family holiday. All the staff member are incredible and were very helpful, friendly and super throughout. We spent the Christmas there and it been close to the Adderley street lights just made our stay even more magical.
