Location, staff and cleanliness of room were all great. The hotel is just quite worn and needs some serious updating. And the rooms are very small. Expect to have difficulty finding space for larger luggage, and the shower will be tight for most people. However, the price was good, very clean room, friendly and helpful staff, too. And although we paid extra for the breakfast it was a good easy option and worth the price.

Just the common areas need refreshing. Clearly worn carpets and couches.

Very convenient for Myeongdong area, a 5 minute walk. The staff were great. Breakfast was nice. Rooftop views were amazing.

Shower room was tiny, and glass all round lacked privacy as only one blind to shield you from the room view, ended you putting towel over the glass door.

Location, facilities and staff were great, right next to Myeongdong and station. Very good value for money.

Construction right next door starts around 6-8am depending on the day, extremely noisy due to the construction (banging, excavating etc), only an issue if you are looking to sleep in and not up by 8am for your day. This seems to have only just started so will probably be the case for the next 6 months + for sure (or beyond). Review date 9-Nov-23.

Hotel was located in a good area close to multiple metro lines and also was next to the final stop on the airport shuttle bus route which was super convenient after a long flight. Located next to the tourist shopping area so was easy to walk around and do shopping as well as hop on the nearby metro lines to travel to other parts of the city. Room was slightly on the small side for 2 people with suitcases but it met our basic needs. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar was very nice, Gym is real small but can get in a half decent dumbell workout. Overall a good stay.

Room was a bit small for 2 people. No natural light in the room due to construction work outside. Bathroom also a bit small but was ok for a short stay.

Best area to stay in Seoul. Right at Myeongdong and easy distance to most attractions, also subway stations close. Staff are very friendly and helpful . Rooms and amenities are very good. Rooftop bar very good with N Seoul Tower right there.

The buffet breakfast was very disappointing. We stayed at Ibis Insadong in May and the breakfast was all we could have expected but Ibis Styles at Myeongdong was the same offering every day. No fresh fruit , empty or near empty offerings, very understaffed, tables not being cleaned up for pretty long periods. We were there for nine days and we were not happy at all with the breakfast.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were close to the centre and walking distance to all of the touristic attractions. The hotel was very clean and the cleaning staff were very nice and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and the view was nice. There is a scale in the reception to where your luggage is before leaving to the hotel, which was very useful to us. There was a convenient store just next door to the hotel and a 7-Eleven across the road which was very convenient. We were close to the train station bus station and the mall. Most touristic attractions were walking distance away.

The reception staff were not very welcoming and they did not introduce the hotel to all they didn’t give us a tour. They did not have a smile on their face which was quite upsetting upon arrival. The rooms are a bit small, but not too bad. They are just enough for two people.

1: Hotel was in good location, easy to walk to various places of interest. Staff friendly and approachable, esp front-desk staff, in particular, a trainee (sorry, I forgot to ask his name) who was most helpful with directions. 2: Room was clean and comfortable enough, and space just good for one person. Clean bathroom but only shampoo and body cleanser provided (no conditioner). 3: Had the breakfast buffet for just one day... underwhelming, so decided to try elsewhere for rest of my stay. 4: Hotel is not far from the airport limousine bus-stop, so convenient.

1: There should be more fruit (esp fresh fruit) for the breakfast buffet. 2: Conditioner to go with shampoo would be appreciated.

The location is excellent. It is within a short walk to the Myeongdong station and so near to the Myeongdong shopping streets. We went by foot mostly. Bus stops are also not far from the hotel. Next to the hotel is a minimart which is great for buying small bites and topping up our transportation card. Use their Naver app to navigate around. The bed was super comfortable and very quiet though our room was facing the road. Great sound proofing. Blanket was comfortable for such cold weather (below zero). Airconditioning was just great too. The airport limo also stops near the hotel thus we took it to and fro to airport which cost about $17 per pax, per trip. You can just top up your transport card and tap it off upon boarding.

Upon arrival, the first room was not so pleasant as there was a drainage smell coming from the toilet. The staff immediately changed another room for us which was really nice.

This was our first time visiting South Korea, and we couldn’t have chosen a better location than Myeongdong. Ibis Styles Ambassador turned out to be the perfect hotel for our stay – reasonably priced and ideally situated. It's just a short walk to the subway station, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, and close to popular attractions like Namsan Tower and Hanbok Village. Upon arrival, we were initially given a room that was quite dark due to ongoing renovations. Although there were no other rooms available that first night, the staff was responsive and moved us to a brighter room the following day, which we really appreciated. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant offered a good selection of dishes, though the coffee could definitely be hotter. Despite a few hiccups, our overall stay at Ibis Styles was comfortable and enjoyable. The location and value make it a great choice for first-time visitors to Seoul.

One downside to our experience was during dinner: we had a reservation for eight, but the service was noticeably slow. Some meals were incorrect or missed, and one steak arrived so late that we had to cancel it—by then, dessert had already been served. That said, the food itself was delicious once it arrived.

The roof top bar and restaurant view was AMAZING, purposely sat up there in a morning and had breakfast looking the City and Seoul Tower. The location was superb, perfect for a traveller (close to stations, airport shuttle drop off points and of cause Myeong-dong

Not really a bad thing, but the cleaners would come in the room each day and turn down the bed even when I put on the do not disturb sign. But literally thats the worst thing that happened, other then that perfect.
