+ Location, Location, Location! The Market is just down the street, nice Tapas places on every corner, Mercadona is 2 mins away by foot, airport bus and beach just 15 mins away by foot also!! + super friendly and helpful staff, e.g. Santiago! + modern and clean room and bathroom (esp. the ceiling shower head made it feel like a spa) with AC that you could regulate yourself + the old telephone device at the reception that gave a "Las Chicas del Cable"-vibe was the best piece of the hotel :) Will definitely recommend and come again!

As most reviews mention, the walls are a bit thin but it didn't bother me too much. The main problem was the noise coming from the street due to the Fogueres de Sant Joan festival running until early morning, so you had to use the ear plugs, which is not the hotel's fault but it was really nice and considerate of the hotel to give their guests complementary eye masks and ear plugs.

It was a very good choice due to great value for money that La Lonja as a city hotel offers: 1. central location, close to the market (with many tasty fruits), many shops and small restaurants, the beach is in a walking distance. Being close to all those places, we slept quietly (La Lonja team even left the earplugs and a sleeping mask to make sure we would sleep comfortably :)). 2. Cleaning was good. Every day we had clean towels, new shampoos and shower gels. Good hairdryers. 3. Strong wi-fi signal. We stayed on the fourth floor. 4. Very very nice staff! Adrian, my special thanks to this very friendly person who was so helpful. 5. Comfortable beds.

These are more like wishes because for the money we paid, everything was great. 1. I think it would make sense to have another bin in a two bedroom room. There was only a small one in the bathroom which wasn't sometimes enough for two people. 2. At times, there was sewer smell from the batroom. But: it didn't bother us once we shut the door.

Excellent value for money! We were extremely satisfied, the staff were all lovely, the room was very clean, the cleaning service is available daily which is amazing. The location is great and really convenient, right in the city centre, where you can find lots of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, beach and sun locations etc. We haven't chosen the breakfast option so can't speak on that, but everything else we experienced during our stay had been great. Our expectations have been surpassed definitely and we would love to come back! Thank you to all the reception staff and especially to the cleaning crew who made our room every day and it was such a nice feeling to come back in the evening after a long day of walking and exploring to find a cosy and extremely clean room with made up bed and new toiletries. I would certainly recommend, especially when you consider the price!

This is more than a hostel, it is like a hotel! The room.was very nice, modern and clean. The receptionists are all marvellous, always there to help, to make you smile, to give you all info. The cleaning staff is also excellent. The location is perfect. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. And it is just 10 minutes walk from the city beach. All is great! We will certainly come back again whenever we are in Alicante! Thank you lovely staff from.La Lonja for our marvellous stay!

The staff was very helpful. It is a great location, just a 10min walk to the beach, grocery stores right closely and also a big local market with lots of fresh food. They also had parasols available that you could take to the beach. Their storage room was really helpful, when having a late flight.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming as there was just a bread and butter but the breakfast staff was lovely. The WIFI was really bad at our room which was not optimal considering we had some work that we needed to do. The staff didn't speak almost any English which made the communication a bit hard but they were really helpful, patient and friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located, a 10 minute walk from the main drag in Alicante with lots of shops and restaurants, and maybe a further 5 minutes to the beach. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room had all advertised amenities and the air conditioning was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean. I would stay here again.

The cleaning staff turn off the air conditioning when they clean. This means that when you return from a very hot day out, the room is also hot and takes maybe an hour to cool.

The younger staff member (hours midnight-8am) was miserable as sin when I checked in, not happy in the job I don't think. The other staff members were very cheerful 8am - midnight and friendly. The facilities were very good, the cleaner works very hard and this shows in her attention to detail, a lovely lady. Very very central and extremely convenient. Air con, TV and bathroom brilliant. Thank you.

It was clean and pretty comfortable. Close to everything. The earplugs and eye mask are a nice plus. Thought I brought my own plugs. The bathroom window is a plus (we didn’t expect that since many hotels don’t have one), though it’s so close to the neighbors one that it’s a but weird. The beds were pretty comfortable (even tho my friend didn’t really like it)

I am pretty sure everyone points this out but the shower glass needs to be better covered for a bit more privacy and a door because the water goes everywhere. I wonder why this choice. They could have installed the same material used in the toilet. Not only couples share a room but friends maybe who don’t want to show off their bodies 😅 One more important thing is the toilet plumbing. The toilet flush from above it’s very loud. You can hear the water running through the walls and wakes you up at night! And adjust the entrance doors to clam less. Oh and the bed cover is not a duvet but a mattress topper…

A great hostel in a great location. 2 star does not do this justice in my view. I’m not sure if I was given an upgrade as I had booked a single room. On check in I was given a deluxe single room, which was compact but had everything you would need in it. Hot water when required, all the time, hairdryer and a TV. My room was spotless, which I was delighted about, coz I am fussy about cleanliness. Hotel staff efficient and friendly. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Oh my goodness, where do I start!!! I couldn't rate this hotel high enough. We had a fantastic stay. The location of the hotel was superb. In walking distance to everything, we were amazed at how close everything was to us. Now it's not a five-star hotel. It is what it is, but if we could rate it, it'd be well up there. We'd absolutely go back in a heartbeat. Rooms cleaned every single day without a doubt. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. Now the breakfast is continental, it was enough for us, as we did a lot of walking around the city. Literally everything is in walking distance.
