It was a very good choice due to great value for money that La Lonja as a city hotel offers: 1. central location, close to the market (with many tasty fruits), many shops and small restaurants, the beach is in a walking distance. Being close to all those places, we slept quietly (La Lonja team even left the earplugs and a sleeping mask to make sure we would sleep comfortably :)). 2. Cleaning was good. Every day we had clean towels, new shampoos and shower gels. Good hairdryers. 3. Strong wi-fi signal. We stayed on the fourth floor. 4. Very very nice staff! Adrian, my special thanks to this very friendly person who was so helpful. 5. Comfortable beds.

These are more like wishes because for the money we paid, everything was great. 1. I think it would make sense to have another bin in a two bedroom room. There was only a small one in the bathroom which wasn't sometimes enough for two people. 2. At times, there was sewer smell from the batroom. But: it didn't bother us once we shut the door.

Excellent value for money! We were extremely satisfied, the staff were all lovely, the room was very clean, the cleaning service is available daily which is amazing. The location is great and really convenient, right in the city centre, where you can find lots of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, beach and sun locations etc. We haven't chosen the breakfast option so can't speak on that, but everything else we experienced during our stay had been great. Our expectations have been surpassed definitely and we would love to come back! Thank you to all the reception staff and especially to the cleaning crew who made our room every day and it was such a nice feeling to come back in the evening after a long day of walking and exploring to find a cosy and extremely clean room with made up bed and new toiletries. I would certainly recommend, especially when you consider the price!

The staff was very helpful. It is a great location, just a 10min walk to the beach, grocery stores right closely and also a big local market with lots of fresh food. They also had parasols available that you could take to the beach. Their storage room was really helpful, when having a late flight.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming as there was just a bread and butter but the breakfast staff was lovely. The WIFI was really bad at our room which was not optimal considering we had some work that we needed to do. The staff didn't speak almost any English which made the communication a bit hard but they were really helpful, patient and friendly.

It was clean and pretty comfortable. Close to everything. The earplugs and eye mask are a nice plus. Thought I brought my own plugs. The bathroom window is a plus (we didn’t expect that since many hotels don’t have one), though it’s so close to the neighbors one that it’s a but weird. The beds were pretty comfortable (even tho my friend didn’t really like it)

I am pretty sure everyone points this out but the shower glass needs to be better covered for a bit more privacy and a door because the water goes everywhere. I wonder why this choice. They could have installed the same material used in the toilet. Not only couples share a room but friends maybe who don’t want to show off their bodies 😅 One more important thing is the toilet plumbing. The toilet flush from above it’s very loud. You can hear the water running through the walls and wakes you up at night! And adjust the entrance doors to clam less. Oh and the bed cover is not a duvet but a mattress topper…

Oh my goodness, where do I start!!! I couldn't rate this hotel high enough. We had a fantastic stay. The location of the hotel was superb. In walking distance to everything, we were amazed at how close everything was to us. Now it's not a five-star hotel. It is what it is, but if we could rate it, it'd be well up there. We'd absolutely go back in a heartbeat. Rooms cleaned every single day without a doubt. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. Now the breakfast is continental, it was enough for us, as we did a lot of walking around the city. Literally everything is in walking distance.

Nothing, everything was great

A great hostel in a great location. 2 star does not do this justice in my view. I’m not sure if I was given an upgrade as I had booked a single room. On check in I was given a deluxe single room, which was compact but had everything you would need in it. Hot water when required, all the time, hairdryer and a TV. My room was spotless, which I was delighted about, coz I am fussy about cleanliness. Hotel staff efficient and friendly. I have already recommended to friends and family.

The location is very central. An airport bus can be reached on foot in around 3 minutes. The market is next door and there are several places to eat and drink nearby. The room was perfectly clean as we're the corridors which we're nicely decorated. Water pressure was excellent in the shower. Check in was by a new member of staff who was very warm and friendly. The price was very low in comparison to other hotels in the area. For a loan traveller looking for a no thrills place to stay for the night it was ideal.

From the outside the hotel doesn't look great. The soundproofing between rooms is poor, guests in the room next door were chatting through the night (which isn't the fault of the hotel and they provided ear plugs) and disrupted my sleep. In the single person room there was no door between the bed area and toilet. No view from the window. Please note that even when theses points are taken into account I still gave a 10 rating because it was excellent value.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were nice. The location is excellent. Less than 15 minutes walk (in a straight line pretty much) to the beach. It’s also easy to get to the shopping area of Alicante. For the money you pay the location is very good. It’s on the door step on an indoor food market and has a few local (rather than touristy) cafes etc. near by.

There was no air con in the room and during the summer months that can be quite uncomfortable unless you have your own little fan. The single was really small but you have what you need in it including hairdryer, full length mirror and place for your clothes. The main thing is the lack of air con/fan.

I have stayed in a single room number 204 (I would call it little apartament). Room was small but modern, clean and there were no signs of damages. Great shower cabin with rain option. Air conditioner was working very well. On the windows apart from window blinds there were curtains. There were 4 sockets (which is good -a lot) plus 2 USB sockets - none of the hotels offers so many sockets and USB sockets! The reception team was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast basic by so good - especially the baguette with tomatoes. And the restaurant staff so nice and friendly, especially the young boy in glasses. This hostel will be my choice for my next stay! It is clean and very close to The City Center. Over all, a very good qualitty / price racio

Situated behind the central market, unfortunately close to the hotel there is a hangout place for homeless people at night. The bed was very "bouncy", so everytime the other person moves, you feel every move and wake up... We did not sleep well. First we recived a room with no shower door, so the shower was basicly in the room. But the guy at the reception was nice and changed our room. He said that The lack of shower door was visible in the photos, so pay atention.
