This has been our hotel of choice in Madrid for more than ten years. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the three great Madrid art galleries and other attractions. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the breakfasts are good. The staff are courteous and helpful. One welcome additional feature is the provision of a machine to produce sparkling water on each floor.

The bathrooms could be enhanced by the provision of face cloths. And hotels that encourage guests to reuse their bath towels ought to provide adequate towel racks.

Love this hotel. It’s in the Art District of Madrid and is great for access to all the museums and galleries close by. The park which is enormous is fabulous, lots of cafes around the huge boating lake too and is located very close by. Outside the hotel are two great restaurants with outdoor dining and they both have a great vibe in the evening. The food and drinks are excellent value for money. We both thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend here and got to see most of what we had planned. Toledo is worth a visit but my advice would be to make your own way there and back. Reason for this is our coach tour was focused initially on taking the party straight to a place where they make all the metal goods and felt like a hard sell. After this we decided to break off from the tour guide and do our own thing.

The location was great, right on a square with dining options, opposite a large park and easy walking distance to a lot of the attractions. Contemporary decor was nice and I had the best night sleep I'd had in years in that bed! Breakfast was lovely!

We were offered a suite upgrade however they removed this a few days after we had signed up, this was frustrating as I had planned things around it and already told my husband whose birthday it was which caused some embarrassment. They did give us free breakfast as compensation. Bed side table was sticky underneath however they did clean them as soon as I asked. One evening I went to get a drink from the bar while my husband was putting our son to bed and the male serving made it obvious that he was frustrated with serving me and was supposed to be going home. The front desk staff were lovely but there were just quite a few other niggles that tainted things slightly.

Location and staff were great, Wendy and Gaston in particular.

Our first room was pretty bad (306). No full-length mirror and door opens into the room, making it feel cramped. We were also part of connecting rooms and it felt like our neighbors were actually in our room. The staff moved us to 209, the same class of room but because door opened to a hallway, which made it feel roomier. Unfortunately, this room smelled like cigarettes covered by room deodorant. We aired out the room for an entire day but it didn’t go away. We notified staff so they could look into it for future guests.

We arrived late at the Hotel at 23.30 & we were checked in by a lovely gentleman called Javier, who was very efficient and had a lovely manner. I requested some fresh milk as I needed a cup of Tea, 10 minutes their was a knock at our door, not only did we get some milk but a delicious cookie & some apple pie. We really appreciate it and it is always the little things that matter.Fantastic customer service, all members of staff that we came into contact with were superb. Location was excellent and the breakfast set us up nicely for the day ahead. Thoroughly enjoyable.

It was a stunning location, close to Retiro park and other tourist attractions. Great neighborhood with lovely restaraunts and bars nearby. The junior suite was stunning. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. The showers were amazing and the added extras were very well appreciated. For example there were robes, slippers and bath bombs! The room was decorated (at extra cost, but well worth it) very well for Valentine's Day. It was so beautiful. There was also stunning views from the room. It was nice and warm, you could control the temperature easily. The bed was fantastic! It was so big and so comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check out late, which was super nice!! There was also free breakfast included but we slept in and did not get a chance to try unfortunately :(

We had an amazing massage in the hotel spa. After this, we used the pool. Although everything was great, there was a suction part in the pool, not sure what it is for exactly, but it was uncovered. I swam close by and it attached to my leg and sucked my calf to the wall. I had to pull my leg really hard to be released and it really hurt. It was swollen afterwards and there were some cuts. My leg is still bruised and this was a couple of days ago! This was disappointing because everything else was perfect. This part of the pool should really be covered. I had a minor injury but it would be very easy for something worse to happen to somebody!!

Good position close to the museum area and only 15/20’ walking distance from city centre. Room is nice and spacious, bathroom is wide and comfortable, especially the shower

Breakfast room is too small, you have to wait for a table. There’s only one waitress (very efficient and fast), but she’s left alone. Not in line with the standard and price of the hotel . The hotel has 2 lifts but only one was working, the other one was not repaired during our 4 day stay…

Unbeatable location near the Parque del Retiro and Atocha Station, full of Restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel room was spacious, very silent even though we were very centrally located, nice shower and very modern furniture. The staff was also very nice and helpful in every needed situation.

The breakfast area is rather small and sometimes we had to wait until a table would be free. There was staff missing (maybe one to greet you at the entrance and ask you for your room number?)

This is a great choice for anyone arriving at the main train station or wanting to spend time at the nearby Prado musuem. It also is well situated in terms of an excellent neighborhood of restaurants and bars. We at first expereinced a little confusion about how to arrive with a rental car, but this was clarified once we got there and in time to prevent us from a lot of hassle. The hotel does not have an actual parking facility, but there is a space around the corner from the hotel entrace which, if available, is a place you can temporarily park, unload your luggage, get checked in, etc. It can be reserved in advance, though there’s no guarantee it will be available. If unavailable, they can recommend other nearby parking options. The room was reasonably spacious and had a good safe, closet space, and useful room and bathroom amenities. The bathroom was probably my favorite of our two-week southern Spain trip: it has as real door (wooden, not glass), the shower has very clear, easy to understand indicators as to the hot and cold direction and the overhead versus handheld option (why can’t all hotels provide this kind of clear instructions?) The breakfast area on the ground floor was a small space but both the buffet and a few menu order options were good. The lobby area has a decent lounge area and funny paintings based on quirky revisions of some of the famous Prado collection.

Be forewarned that the hotel is situated on a narrow street, so it is not easy to simply pull up and unload luggage unless you make some prior arrangements: in our case, there was almost immediately a traffic back-up cause by our pausing in front of the hotel with the hope of unloading luggage. Our room was on the 1st floor, which worked out ok, but if we had stayed longer I probably would have requested something higher up. Our room looked right out toward a lively outdoor seating restaurant, and because we were only one floor up, the sound was noticeable (though not unreasonable).

Lovely boutique hotel in great location opposite Prado Museum. Super comfortable rooms and great bed . Quiet room despite looking onto square. Nespresso machine with selection of pods replaced daily, water bottles . Free water bottles at reception and small cups of broth at night to warm you up on returning home - nice touch Lovely breakfast room with large selection and a la carte options. Very friendly staff and special thanks to restaurant staff. Would definitely return.

No heating in bathroom so bit chilly during winter - needs heated towel rail . Minor gripe.
