We had an absolutely amazing stay at AxelBeach Maspalomas! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely at ease. The hotel has a great vibe – stylish, relaxed, and perfectly located. The facilities were top-notch: the pool area was always clean and inviting, the gym was well-equipped, and the garden area offered a perfect place to unwind. A special shoutout goes to Hamza, the masseur – his hands are magic! One of the best massages we've ever had. Professional, attentive, and genuinely kind, he made the whole experience even more relaxing and memorable. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a gay-friendly, fun, and comfortable place to stay in Gran Canaria!

What we liked most where the staff. They are so friendly and always happy to help. Dayanna, Carmen and Kevin at the reception. 10 out of 10 for the kindness and friendliness, they can't do enough for you. And now to the bar staff, again 10 out of 10 , these guys rock!!!! Shout out to Raico, Carmelo, Javier, Luis and Christian. They are amazing. Always making sure you have a great time and are just awesome. Don't wait and book your next trip to Gran Canaria at the AxelBeach Hotel. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the Yumbo Center. The breakfast had a good choice of cold and warm options. If you needed anything, the crew is quick to help. Rooms was always super clean and very spacious and the shower is amazing!!! Rainshowerhead and normal with great water pressure. All in all, highly recommend!!!! Can't wait to go back.

The only thing we would like to suggest is, please heat the pool as it was far to cold to get in.

We had read that the pool was broken. We contacted Axel to cancel the reservation but they assured us that everything would be working for our arrival. Promise kept. Good and Professional. Very nice room overlooking the garden and pool. They pampered us. The structure is always clean, the staff is very kind and always available. I don't know the names of the ladies and gentlemen who were in charge of cleaning, but we thank them for the smiles and kindness they offered us at every meeting in the corridors. Attentive in everything. Every request always fulfilled. Instead we remember well the names of the boys at the reception. Thanks to the wonderful Pancho and happy birthday to him, Kevin very sweet and always attentive and kind. And Dayana and Carmen two angels. Professional, always attentive, kind and all together they made us feel at home. The guys at the bar and restaurant and the DJ were all good and always smiling. Thank you so much. We stayed for 14 days and we always felt like we were in the right place. We recommend Axel Beach Maspslomas mainly for the staff and how they pay attention to everything. We had an incredible time at Axel Beach Maspalomas - couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Mari Carmen and Dayanna on reception - they were both fantastic. So friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Mr. Solution was brilliant - always on hand, full of energy, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The bar staff were great too – really friendly and made the atmosphere fun and relaxed. And a big thanks to the cleaning team – the place was spotless the whole time we were there. The staff here really do make all the difference. We felt looked after from the moment we arrived. Would absolutely come back. Thanks again to everyone for a brilliant stay!

Nothing major - Pool bathroom light timer plunges you into darkness every 10 seconds LOL. There is a weights machine pin missing in the gym so not all machines can be used at the same time.

The atmosphere at Axelbeach is welcoming and relaxed. My husband and I were there last summer for the first time and were back now the last week of January. Now as then, the staff at breakfast (among others Camelo and Rayco) were attentive and pleasant. The breakfast is quite basic but perfectly fine. The staff at the reception are fantastically nice and helpful. We had to change rooms because the bed was bad, which went very smoothly. Don’t have the name of the receptionist that helped us, but they were great. Alvaro, Alvaro, Alvaro - always with a smile.

The rooms themselves need renovation. They feel worn and outdated and are in need of a basic cleaning. You could raise the level considerably with fairly simple means, by installing new wallpaper, or painting the walls completely white, replacing the old furniture and the wardrobe and updating the kitchen equipment. The furniture itself is perfectly fine. The ventilation of the rooms needs to be fixed and cleaned. The bubble pool is very good but it is unclear what opening hours really apply. There is a separate room by the sauna, unclear what you are allowed to use it for as it should be clear if it is okay to cruise there.

The location was excellent as was the pool. Plenty of loungers by the pool each day if you wanted. The breakfast was also excellent and would definitely have this again as part of out stay. I also want to give a shout out to Carmelo and Raylo who looked after us at breakfast each day. We also enjoyed the Saturday pool party with excellent tunes from DJ Lucky all afternoon. We missed the Friday party as we had decided to head to the beach but would definitely say for this next time we stay. We love the tag line of being heterofriendly as it definitely made me and my husband feel at home and not judged for being gay. Lots of straight people staying as well but the vibe was excellent all round.

Water temperature was a bit up and down each day in the shower but it was not an major issue.

The room was really nice and big. The location was ideal for both going to the Yumbo Square and to the beach / dunes. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The service of the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of different food and and always available service from Carmelo and Rayco

Unfortunately, the pool was not available during our stay since it had been maintained. This is completely understandable and good, but I would have preferred to get this information in advance and something in return due to the fact that not all services were available during my stay. And I didn't really feel welcome from the woman at the reception when we arrived. She was quite rude.

Location couldn't be better with its proximity to the Yumbo, ATM at the door and supermarket 3 min walk. Reception staff very pleasant every time we passed as were the cleaners. Skybar perhaps a little pricey for some things but the food and snacks were tasty and the staff were really friendly and I loved being called Mr Cappuccino. Nice having the DJ on site two days as well

Balcony door needed oiled. Probably should have mentioned but you forget these things on holiday! The filling of the fridge with things to buy was overkill and somewhat unnecessary though I guess some visitors like that kind of thing.

Spacious and large room, the location is clearly one of the most convenient for fully enjoying the nightlife of Playa del Inglés. Every morning, the cleaning staff are always impeccable in making the beds and changing the bathroom linens. Kevin and the reception staff are always kind and courteous. The Pool Party organized by Lucky DJ on January 1st was amazing, with excellent music. See you soon!

Perhaps the price is particularly high compared to the local average. It would be nice if it were illuminated at night, like many other establishments, to make it more visible and pleasing to the eye, given the prominence of the Axel brand.

The hotel has a central location, not far away from Yumbo Center. The room I had was spacious with the balcony and the view to the pool. The pool area and its surroundings provide different leisure facilities. The water in the pool was freezing, but as for me it was ok. There was poolside entertainment provided nearly every day. The team of the hotel was very friendly, kind and helpful. Special thanks to Raico, Cristian, Carmelo and Carmen.

Very expensive at this season. The hotel needs to be a bit renovated. It was said at the information leaflet that the air conditioner was not designed to work as a central heater, so it was off and it was pretty cold inside the room after dark.
