Our two-night stay was very good. The place is very well located, and the room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. There was little interaction with the staff, but overall it was a good value considering how close it is to the Cathedral. We have to say that the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we had throughout our entire Camino de Santiago.

The room has not been recently renovated, which is fine for the price we paid, but we did notice a few details that proper management supervision could easily address. The bathroom bin was broken and could not be opened with the foot pedal, so we had to use our hands. When we arrived, the cleaning lady had just mopped the floor, but the smell was an unpleasant mix of disinfectant and mustiness — we had to open the windows to air out the room. Overall, these are small things that could be improved, and management might consider gradually modernizing the rooms.

Not everyone has geraniums at their windows here, but we did. We had one ordinary full height window and second which opened on to a small balcony; both were red with geraniums. The whole place is tastefully and beautifully furnished; it is airy and quiet, welcoming and friendly. All the staff were attentive, warm and hardworking. The Pousada is only a step or two from Obradoiro and the heart of the old town but those few steps, rather unexpectedly, create a sense of tranquillity in the small street. Nearby are good cafes and restaurants and almost next door is a small laundrette. Our room had a kettle with tea bags and milk and so on, and a small fridge. Thoroughly recommended.

San Clemente was nice and quiet and is in a very nice location right beside La Almeda park. It is very close to the old town and is maybe ten minutes walk from the cathedral so it is very well located. No breakfast is provided but we had breakfast at one of the many nearby cafes which was very nice. It also has some lockers so we were able to store our bags there for a few hours after checkout before we left for our evening flight. It was around a twenty minute walk from the hotel to the bus station where we got the bus to the airport. Overall a very nice, quiet hotel.

Camino trip - Quiet street despite proximity (four minute walk) to Santiago Cathedral, local police station 5 minutes away, less than 100m to restaurants. Room 21 was very clean at top of two flights of stairs, comfy twin beds, the two skylights in the sloped roof/ceiling (caution beautiful (head height for taller people) beams)) providing view of Cathedral. Bathroom large enough and with tub/shower. Staff Maria Jose was excellent with her kindness, good English and excellent local knowledge. Discounted parking available with hostel stay 60 m away.

As there only a small refrigerator and kettle in room there is no other facility for making own meals in this hostel. Heard some minimal hallway noise

Lovely room on 2nd floor with a view of St.James’s Cathedral through the skylight. Wonderful welcoming helpful staff. Very distinctively styled rooms with overhead beams. Really comfy beds & it was wonderful to hear the church bells ringing at various times. Spacious bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Wonderful location close to the Cathedral. Fabulous coffee shop at the top of the street for breakfast/brunch (Lusco & Fusco Bakery Cafe) Would definitely stay again!

Nothing really. Perhaps the old ‘brown furniture’ could get a little dusting otherwise the bedroom/bathroom were spotless.

Maria, the concierge, went above and beyond in her service. I was a pilgrim, my luggage courier did not pick up my bag from my previous destination. She contacted the carrier, and was able to get my bag taxied to the hotel. In the meantime time, she offered me her own personal spare outfit and shoes! She also recommended a local establishment to purchase clothing. She was reassuring and said there is no problem that doesn’t have a solution. She was lovely!

The location is perfect. A stone's throw from the Cathedral. Lots of cafes and bars close by. The receptionist was most welcoming and helpful. We loved the room. It was spacious with comfortable beds and lovely bed linen. The decor of it and the bathroom were very pleasing and fitted well with the age of the building. A perfect place for a stay after walking the Camino.

I found the online check-in a bit of a nuisance. One gets the impression that one is never going to interact with a human being which is not the case.

Excellent location with view from French windows over to the nearby cathedral. Secure, clean and comfortable with welcome tea/ coffee making facility, small fridge. Excellent clothes storage. Most helpful reception and cleaning staff facilitating luggage storage before check-in and after check out. Keyless, coded entry. Excellent cafes, restaurants and bars close by.

Effective shower but set over creaking bath. Expensive given the limited services available

Everything, the location was central, the accomodation was very clean and comfortable. My only issue was I asked for a double bed but I received two single beds which wasn't a big deal so I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The access code system to enter the building but there was an intercom there so you could connect up with someone immediately so it really wasn't that bad at all.

This was a very nice room, clean, and relatively quiet (we could hear people coming in late in the evening, but no outside noise). The hotel is located on a side street secluded from the busier parts of the city. Check in was very easy. No keys were exchanged. Access to the building and to the room was through a keypad code that I received prior to arrival. There was a very nice woman on site to answer any questions, and she had advice for sightseeing. The bed was VERY comfortable so we slept great. We also liked that there was a small refrigerator in the room.
