We stayed here for the last two nights for our holiday in SriLanka. Room was a spacious and clean! The staff was very nice and willing to help us. Negombo location is not special place, if you are looking for a nice beaches, but it is a great for the first and the last day in Sri Lanka. I recommend this place due to its short distance to the airport.

My opinion is that there was a small selection of food for breakfast, let's say they have a "set menu" for breakfast. It was tasty, but I had a different expectations for food during my stay in SriLanka. I would like to try more traditional breakfast. (I attached our breakfast, but we also had sandwiches with jam.) The hotel offers a transport to the airport for 6000Rs (20€) which is terribly expensive! If you book a taxi through UBER or Pickme you will pay for one ride to the airport only 1600Rs (5,30€).

I stayed here before returning to the airport. The staff were incredible, so friendly and welcoming. The pool was lovely and a delight after hours of travelling South. Negombo can be busy, but Hotel Sico is an oasis of calm and relaxation. It's only a few minutes' walk to the main road, but I almost felt no need to leave, it was so peaceful. The rooftop terrace was beautiful in the evening.g The chef's food was superb - I had rice and curry in the evening and a Sri Lankan breakfast - both were superb, full of flavour. Room was very comfortable, spacious and with great facilities. Shower was lovely.

Staff were attentive, professional and friendly and actively ensured that our needs were met. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and the bathrooms cleaner than many similar establishments ie actually clean around the edges as well as the amenities. There was also a lift! Wonderful and not such a usual feature in Sri Lanka's three storey accommodations. There is a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast however we were encouraged to have dinner on the rooftop with views of the town. The tuk tuk fare to town was LKR260. The breakfast was good.

Room service, staff and location

Menu could have been better. Food variety could be expanded. There was garbage from previous stays in the bin already when we got there.

Hotel Sico is located near Negombo beach and perfect for a short stay / starting point of your journey. Souvenir shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Safe parking lot in front of the door was a big plus point because the streets near the beach are quite narrow. The room was really spacious and clean. We were allowed to use the pool even after check out which was really nice. Great hotel staff. Everything went smooth. :)

No fresh juices were available

We had a super last minute booking and the staff were so helpful in getting us settled for the night. the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. the pool looked great but unfortunately we just didn’t have enough time to enjoy it.

we were told to scan a qr code for room service which we did but were then told it hasn’t gone through and the kitchen had closed, which meant we had to order a takeaway as the street is not well lit and it was late, which is a shame

Nice size of the room. Staff nice and polite. Air con worked well. The bed was big and comfortable.

I paid almost the same price for a late check-out at 5pm that the one I originally paid for the room (which I didn't find very value-friendly but I didn't want to argue as this was my last day in Negombo). So basically worked out double what I paid, which meh. Pool is quite small and shaded most of the day by the building. Wifi wasn't working very consistently during my stay. Bathroom sewage system was a bit smelly I found, and it was very hot there (given that the aircon is in the main room, but that is classic from what I have seen in terms of places in Sri Lanka).

Great room, really big, comfortable bed, hot shower, really clean, good location for Negombo. Negombo itself is underwhelming, I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than a night, but it’s really convenient for the airport.

Breakfast wasn’t available unless you let them know the night before - I didn’t know this. There was no places nearby open at 9am for breakfast.

Quite big room with a bit of sea view from the balcony. Very close to the beach but in quite area. Nice rooftop terraces.

The service of the staff wasn’t so great. Our last night, before the flight, we had dinner in the rooftop terrace but the service was not the best, I had to go downstairs twice to the reception to ask to send someone upstairs. Took more then one hour to order and get our meal. We were the only two people no anyone else in the rooftop.

Staff were extremely helpful and kind. The location is 2 minutes from thriving bars and restaurants. The beach is one road away. Make sure you do a city tour as that covers most of Negombo, the fish market is insane!

It was quiet, however I was arriving in off season. The rooftop bars photos look a lot better than the end product, although a lot of opportunity to make it a great roof top bar! It looked like they were working on this when I arrived!
