We arrived in the middle of the night, which we told the hotel in advance.. When we arrived, the gate was closed. Finale there appaered a nightguide who did not speak any English at all. We had to wait 2 hours (being very tired after long flight) before there came somebody else. We were taken to the Blue Elephant hotel, around the corner. Both hotels are run by same owner, but I wish they would have let us known we should have gone to the other place, in stead of waiting for such a long time while you only want to go to sleep.

I booked the boutique private room which I was abit nervous about because there are no photos of the accommodation on the booking page. When I arrived I found that it was located around the corner from TukTuk Hostel main site in another venue called ‘Seahorse Hotel & Spa’. It was stunning, a very nice surprise and not what I expected, much better than I imagined infact. I’m not sure if this is the usual protocol or whether adaptations were made for some other reasons, but I had a great stay in beautiful surroundings. I visited TukTuk bar which was reserved for a private party, but it was still nice to watch people dancing to Sri Lankan music and having a great time. I also made a reservation with Jasmin Villa spa which was advertised at the resort, I went for a back massage and it was amazing, they will collect you from the hotel and return you for free.

The transportation/TukTuks arranged by the hotel were too expensive. I requested a price for collection from the airport and the price quoted was 4x higher than what I paid by arranging my own transport. The tour of Negombo in TukTuk arranged by the hotel was also priced too high, many of the attractions were closed and the driver didn’t speak English well so we struggled to communicate. I didn’t get to see much unfortunately due to closures, the tour ended early. The driver was a nice person but in retrospect it would have been better to arrange my own transport.

the organisation was quite difficult when we‘ve arrived. First there was a call right at the time we were landed - that there is no space - However we had a confirmation on booking - so that made some trouble which was not necessary. But overall, I would highly recommend to stay again, especially when flighing out or landing at the int. airport early or late from colombo

Tuk tuk boutique hotel doesn’t exist. The photos aren’t for the hotel. The first room I was put in stunk of mould and had an outdated bathroom. It was single beds. I said this isn’t what I booked. I was then moved to a much nicer room double bed and it didn’t stink

The food was not the best.

The Hostel facilities were great, apparently they are rebuilding their privates, so they moved me to Sea Breeze Hotel close by - great stay!

I arrived 5 hours before it was possible to check-in. They asked for 25 dollars to get to the room earlier even if the room was already available. It was too much because one night was much cheaper than this…

We booked Tuk Tuk Boutique Hotel but at the end got room at Sea Horse Hotel without window. There is no Tuk Tuk Boutique Hotel, all reservations leads to other hotel where no vibe like at Tuk-tuk and where is no boutique.
