not only UNIQUE by name but TRULLY! and I make myself clear... What makes it unique was firstly the personnel (all of the them and specially Stefanie!) eager to help in everything(they even responded immediately for a small problem with coffe machine) , for the parking place , for information needed etc. Secondly the decoration, the atmosphere and the background music (which was very well chosen and could be heard all over the hotel) makes it so relaxing and warm-cosy Another thing is the location which is so quiet, with the garden around and only 15 min walking from city center! In the spacy room there were many facilities ,coffe machine, closet, welcome tray with apples and water! , many towels., VERY comfortable mattress and pillows.. , tasty furniture and table, TV, fridge, nice view with big windows and other... the entrance,the floors and the restaurant area was very well decorated mainly with objects related to jazz history and music.. making the stay very pleasant... the bus stop is opposite the hotel for those interested in. the food at the restaurant was very good Everywhere was extremely clean!

nothing really ... only the faucet in the bathroom was a little leaky we didn't have breakfast so I can't say about it.

Front desk staff was super kind and helpful. Top notch. Also, breakfast staff was so helpful, explaining the local foods, etc, and offering refills even though we sat and worked at breakfast for a long time. The free transit ticket made hotel a great base for our walking tour of Anabaptist sites in Bern.

we had designated a room with a view of mountains on bookings.com, but first floor the view was blocked by trees. But it was rainy, so it didn't bother us much. The great staff more than made up for that.

It’s ancient, with historical structures and well maintained, clean rooms and quite spacious (we ordered jazz suite & junior suite). Many artistic statues with stories are placed all around the corner. Location is at the suburb and still very close with one stop only already reached city centre. With free bus pass we practically can arrive everywhere within the range.

Nothing, not readily for Sunday brunch still can opt to have simple bf at the park cafe right beside the hotel. Parking just right at the front and it’s free which is rare at Europe. And it’s definitely safe. We left 1 car window opened unintentionally.. and everything is intact. Some parts of the rooms were creaky but it’s old building what can be complained abt

It was fantastic, a unique experience, and the most memorable and beautiful hotel ever , everything is amazing and comfortable, feeling like home and with your family , the owners are beautiful lovely persons, the employees are helpful and really nice to us , the transportation offered by the hotel was great and well explained by the lady on the desk ,The breakfast was good and cozy , I would really come back

Everything! As the name says, very Unique! Mariann, owner, welcomed us so warmly. As in the hotel description the theme is Jazz. We stayed in one of the Jazz rooms, with views to Old Town, and distant views to snow capped peaks. Magical really! Room was spacious and decor stylish in line with hotel theme. Bed wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom a good size and well equipped. We sadly stayed just outside of the jazz performances down in the purpose built basement, but can imagine just how enjoyable an experience that would be. We received a bus ticket for the duration of our stay, and with the bus stop right outside the hotel it was super easy and quick to reach the city and Old Town. This hotel is away from the hustle of tourism, yet absolutely close enough to reach within 10 minutes. The restaurant is beautiful, has lovely staff and delicious food. A fantastic find!

LOVED EVERYTHING!

Spacious, great views of the Swiss mountains and city, easy parking, clean, well trained staff. There is an old-world elegance to the decor epitomised by the founder, Marianne, from whom we learnt how the jazz connection came about. A short ( free) bus ride took us into the city centre.

Hard to find fault.

Lovely older hotel. Convenient public transportation to downtown. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They willingly accommodated me when I asked to move rooms because I found the noise from the road disruptive. The second room, facing the back garden, was excellent.

Rooms on the front side of the building are noisy.

The warm and professional reception by the staff, and the owner (Thanks).. Location, terrace bar and restaurant with a magnificent view of the montains, the easy and frequent bus service between hotel and Bern main train station and downtown.

Location was very good. Free parking area is a plus. The woman at the reception was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and cosy.

We arrived after 10 pm. There was a bar in the hotel but they said that they’ve finished servising due to security reasons. If it is a regulation in the country it is ok but if it is an hotel rule, seems meaningless.

The hotel's facilities are relatively old. The In-room bed was a bit discomfort. Bathroom towels were not of good quality
