The hotel has a very nice atmosphere - a 19th century villa with big windows and a lot of lights, hard wood floors. It's conveniently located in Engelberg village. We haven't seen any staff, but everything was very smooth - the reception is unmanned, an envelope with a key was waiting for us when we arrived, the staff was responsive via messages. There is also a lovely kitchen for hotel guests.

Minor - there were no signs to the ski room.

I am very happy that we chose to stay in this hotel. Our room was very spacious and cozy. What we liked the most is that this hotel has common kitchen for guests, which allowed us to cook some meals and save quite substantial amount of funds, as eating out in Switzerland can be quite expensive.

Reserving the sauna in advance would allow for a nice private spa experience. Location is perfectly close to the slopes. Staff is super friendly.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, almost nothing left when we went there and variety is modest

Staff were fantastic, helpful, freindly and happy to go the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Great value hotel, I would happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
