We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has an amazing viewpoint (it is on the hilly part), especially if you get the mountain facing room, which the hotel was kind to accommodate; and the access tunnel (+elevators) from hotel down to the center of the town is such an asset! The amenities are good, the staff incredibly kind and friendly, the breakfast was good too. We were 3 adults and our room was very comfortable. The mattresses were mid-firm (personally we prefer). The hotel is well maintained and clean.

The rooms in the old section are charming, and some portions could use an upgrade, but we had nothing to complain about.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel and want to give a special thank you to Mandy and Sacha for their outstanding service. The rooms have a bit of an old-style charm, but they are comfortable and serve their purpose well. The highlight of the stay was the breathtaking view from both the rooms and the restaurant—absolutely stunning! Breakfast was great, with plenty of options, but the dinner buffet was disappointing, as the food lacked flavor and wasn’t worth the price. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with exceptional service and beautiful scenery just better to explore other dining options for dinner!

The room was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. I loved the fact that we were given the opportunity to leave our bags in the luggage area after our checkout and had the possibility to shower. The shower area was very clean and they also provided clean towels in the common shower.

We didn’t like the parking area. We visited the hotel in winter and since hotel didn’t have any underground parking, our car was completely covered in snow and it was frozen. We were stuck at the parking lot for approximately 30 min.

The best part was the view from room balcony. It was amazing, the best view of Engelberg can be experienced in this hotel only. Location of the hotel is great, 5-7 min walk from Engelberg train station. Staff was great, Ms Mukta Aktar gave us early check in , she is very kind & sweet.

Wifi didn’t work in the room otherwise everything was perfect. Even when we called at reception for wifi, they said it doesn’t well in the rooms.

Hotel is very good and breakfast is excellent. Only thing that room was of very old type of rooms. we would have loved the modern rooms which they have also. So when you book the rooms, ask them to book modern rooms not the very old room.

Nice, clean, friendly people, way down to village is easy to take, good breakfast, meal in the evening as buffet is also nice. Everywhere somebody to help if necessary.

Beautiful large room with a balcony looking out at panorama of the mountains in Engelberg. Location was easily walkable from station and to gorgeous konditerei's, supermarkets for snacks and plenty of coffee shops/ restaurants nearby. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening which had lovely views over the town and the food was plentiful and a great buffet. The hotel seemed to be very family oriented with old school glamour. There was a quieter dining area for older children and smaller groups of adults as well as a large dining room where the buffet was which catered for larger groups. As well as the stunning location, genuinely of note were the Staff at the Terrace. They are a credit to the hotel management and all staff we met were warm, helpful and demonstrated high standards of customer service and care about their guests which really shone through. We really felt looked after and welcome throughout our stay. Thanks so much to Hotel Terrace team, especially the assistant manager receptionist who welcomed us guided us where to go to make the most of our short stay. We'd love to return for longer next time.

I liked that it is like the grand budapest hotel. The view of the village was great and the tunnel from the village to the hotel is very convenient.

We happened to get the room just over the Gin Bar and there was a lounge band on Saturday night and we could hear it. It was also very expensive but we chose that going in.

The view from the balcony is outstanding. We could see the entire town and mountains. Room is spacious and the carpet is bit dated. The entrance to the hotel is an experience in itself. Enjoyed the stay. Breakfast is average, not a big drawback.

The stay was perfect! They had a good breakfast, the view from the room was surreal, and you could get to downtown Engleberg by foot through a tunnel directly from the hotel! The hotel is so beautiful inside and out, it is clean, good parking, and a charming staff :))
