Everything about our short ski trip to Engelberg was perfect. From the train pick up, to the activities and the welcome and service from the staff! My friend and I had an excellent stay - and we got a room upgrade! The town is well organised for visitors - transport is free within the town once you register...the spa facilities were just lovely. Perfect for a bit of downtime...

The only thing I will do better is book a longer stay! An excellent visit. The ski activities up Titlis and the surrounding ski spots are expensive so a decent budget is needed for a longer stay.

The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!

We travel extensively and have to say that this is one of the most superb hotels that we have EVER stayed in. The location is stunning, the rooms large and beautifully appointed, the Wellness centre quite extraordinary and the food excellent. There were small touches (take anything from the minibar - there is no charge) that add up to a lovely experience. What makes a hotel seem like home is the quality of the service and every person we met at Waldegg was very friendly, very welcoming and extremely warm. A special mention of Isolde who ferried us around with a big smile - but this really extends to everyone we met. Can’t wait to return.

Everything, the view, cleanliness, facilities, amenities the swimming pool & sauna and above all the staff Mis Samira and Mr. Samuel can't remember the other names, but All without excption were professional, friendly, super helpful and caring.Also we had free upgrade and late check-out which made our stay more enjoyable and unforgettable. It was the best choice in Englberg. It is highly recommended for cupels.

Amazing Hotel in Engelberg! We have enjoyed to the fullest our stay at Hotel Waldegg. The staff was extremely friendly and the provided service was fantastic. Every day we received a printed forecast for the next day mentioning the weather and what activities we could do. The Spa was great. There is one big swimming pool inside and a hot water tub outside on the terrace. The saunas were nice too. The Hotel is a little bit up on a hill, but you can easily reach it by bus or taxi. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was delicious. There was a buffet with lots of choice. Furthermore, you could also order additional hot meals from the menu as scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc. The staff in the breakfast room was very friendly as well. The hotel has also 2 restaurants, one for European cuisine and one Thai cuisine. We tried both of them and enjoyed our meals.

Nothing, everything was great!

The heart of this property is the staff. I have never met such pleasant people before. They truly love what they do. We ate on premises at both of the restaurants. Both are equally good. Food is Michelin worthy!!! Hats off to the chef. You never need to go anywhere else for your meals!!! The rooms are spotless. Super clean, cozy, and breathtaking views from room balcony. Breakfast was one of the best we have had across our tour through out Europe. Our server was lovely! Isolde and other front desk staff were super helpful. Very friendly. Restaurant staff was incredibly attentive. Best dining experience! We will return for sure! Housekeeping was spot on. Very friendly lady that catered to our requests with a smile. We can’t wait to return to this place. It’s become our new favorite.

From healthy options to indulgent delights, the breakfast was a feast that provided the perfect energy to start the day exploring Engelberg. In summary, my stay at this hotel was great in every aspect. The combination of exceptionally friendly staff, high-quality facilities, and a delicious breakfast created an unforgettable experience. While my overall experience at the Engelberg hotel was positive, a minor suggestion for improvement would be to introduce a room service menu. This addition could enhance convenience for guests, offering more dining options within the comfort of their rooms. However, this suggestion doesn't overshadow the generally positive impression I had of the hotel

The location, hotel, location, spa area and the most of all Hotel Waldegg staff are impeccable. The rooms and all facilities are clean and tidy (twice daily room service!). The views are breathtaking. We couldn’t recommend this place more. Whether you search for active ski holiday or relaxing trip with leisure and views - this is an excellent choice.

It is a perfect place for a perfect stay.

Nice big room with great view of the mountains and the town of Engelberg. Great breakfast buffé, with a nice selection of egg, omeletts and pancakes to order. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Pool and spa area was nice, with a gondola-lift sauna on the terrasse. Located in a quiet residential area 10 minute walk from the town center.

Amazing location, breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and always there to make our experience unforgettable. Hotel manager was very kind to give us a lift to the ski resort. Room was very clean and had beautiful view. Spa facilities really good. Would definitely return. Thank you to all the staff.
