Check in staff were great. Hotel itself which is not far from town has a rustic vibe to it. Tram station runs just outside the hotel. Breakfast selection was small but I was appreciative of the choices offered. For breakfast, I especially enjoyed the hot chocolate prepared for me. The room was warm and though their aren't air conditioned rooms, a fan was provided. I had garden facing room so the views and fresh air coming in from that direction was appreciated. There is a restaurant that operates in the evening hours from 7 pm for a couple of hours. So if you are an early and light sleeper this may be a challenge to navigate (use ear plugs).

Bathroom vents not very good in dealing with excess moisture if using hot water. It gets very humid in there.

The house was really nice, location good, close to tram station and they offered us a free pass for all public transport even for the small boats that cross the lake, for which we were very grateful. The room was very warm, clean and comfortable. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful.

There was no fridge in the room, it wasn’t a big deal but I thought I should mention and we stayed at the 1st floor thus we could hear the people that were serving food in the restaurant below us; it wasn’t very loud noise but if you are sensitive to noise this is an aspect that you need to take into consideration

The room was nice. The breakfast, while small, was also good and we we served fresh and great coffee upon asking the waiter. The location was convenient with bus and tram stops right around the corner.

The reception was empty at first which made the experience a bit stressful. We then asked the staff of the restaurant and got help. The breakfast could have more options, especially something like fried eggs.

Nice location, conveniently situated right next to a tram station and just a short distance from the city center (if you use tram). The provision of Geneva transport cards is an incredibly practical feature. The room was generally quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay, and the breakfast was nice. Overall, an excellent value for the price during our visit.

The tram could be heard at night, but we quickly got used to it.

Location of hotel is safe and quite picturesque. There is a tram stop just outside the hotel that takes you directly to Gare Cornavin, CERN, other tourist spots in Geneva. The hotel is a great spot for any meal of the day as it contains a public restaurant that opens in afternoons and evenings. I also find the interior decor of hotel to be charming.

My partner found the mattress in the bedroom slightly hard.

If you plan on arriving earlier than the check in time I would confirm that with them days in advance because I arrived early the day of and the door was locked to the hotel and nobody answered the phone so I couldn’t even have them hold my bags or get in touch with them for hours .

The reception staff was nice and friendly. I requested for and was granted late checkout till 1pm as my flight out from Geneva was later in the day. Room was clean and cozy and breakfast spread was decent.

Even though I was supposed to check out at 1pm, the cleaning staff barged into my room around 12:15pm and demanded I check out immediately. He did not speak english and sounded very rude. There were not enough power outlets near the bed from which I could charge my devices.

Superb location and excellent staff. It is located in a very pretty part of the city. There is a tram stop just outside. So convenient! Mr.Fabio is very courteous and helpful, especially if you need information about Geneva as a tourist.

The breakfast tends to get a bit boring if you stay more than two nights. It is not a bad spread at all. The coffee is made fresh. But it's exactly the same spread every day!

We had a very comfortable stay. As a family with 3 children, it's surprisingly difficult to find a hotel where it's possible to add an additional bed to one of the rooms, which this hotel was happy to do. Carouge is a beautiful old part of Geneva, with easy access to the centre, 10 mins by tram, but away from the more touristy area. The staff were very helpful. The decor is a bit dated, but it was all immaculately clean.

Based on the descriptions and our expectations, I would highly rate this hotel. The room was not huge but sufficient for our 3 day stay (you can upgrade to a larger room). Breakfast is basic - cereals, some pastries and boiled eggs. The Hotel is outside of Geneva but only about 6 stops on the tram (which is free to use for tourists) and there is a station directly outside the hotel; so don't let the proximity to the centre/lake put you off. Courage also has a charm of it's own, with some boutique shops and numerous restaurants/cafes.

Noise from the Tram (try to get a room to the rear of the hotel). No air con (in fairness, this isn't needed too often).
