The staying was good, it's a small suite but enough for a single person or a couple. I must point out though that the hotel is located on a area with a intense nightlife which it's not exactly a problem for me but it can be for some. Because I went in the summer I wanted to keep the windows open in the night but due to the loud music on the nearby clubs I had them closed which was okay as they have a fan available but that might not be the most comfortable for every person. They have a kettle, teabags and some chocolate which was a nice addition. The room was clean except for under the bed. The bathroom is good and with a good shower. The location it's at the hottest spot of Zurich's nightlife and very close to the center (around 1km to the train station).

The room was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The internet was working fine, and communication with the host was good at all times. We travel with 6 and we got 3 rooms.

Zurich is generally really safe. However, the area around the building might look a bit sketchy, as it is surrounded by lots of bars and there are quite a few people smoking and drinking. It felt a bit dangerous to arrive at or leave the hotel late at night, but that was merely a perception. Everything is fine inside the building.

I like the room only and clean

Thier property it’s uncomfortable to stay it’s scared me you cannot go out if you want too most at night too much people are drunk and very noisy screaming yelling and scared me they even approached of something then if there is police they run infront of you then we go out sometimes not too early cause they still drinking in the bar sorry I think cannot comeback anymore

Accessible location. Room is spacious. Staff (Rafael) is helpful and considerate.

Sketchy location. I don't think the property owner/manager can do something about it, though. It is located in this sleazy bars area - streets look unsafe at night and are lined with so much trash in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, you will also hear loud bar goers or passersby shouting at one another. (But I was ok with it because I requested for a room on the ground floor since the property does not have lifts.)

Modern and comfortable. The complementary sparkling waters and treats were a nice touch and appreciated! Check in was easy and the gentlemen at the front was very friendly and helpful.

It was very hot and there was no AC, but a fan was provided. The location was a bit dodgy, which was ok for 1 night, however in the morning we left at about 6.30am and there were heaps of people on the street who had been partying all night and a huge fight broke out, which was actually very scary as there were bottles smashing and yelling (and I have lived in some dodgy neighbourhoods and not experienced anything like this). The police did arrive promptly however. Perhaps don’t stay here on the weekend.

The neighborhood is a bit busy, especially at night, due to the many bars and nightlife in the area. That said, it felt generally safe, and the location is very convenient, being close to the main train station and other public transport options.

We stayed Kernhof Hotel during our alpine passes motorcycle trip. Location is almost in the centre of Zurich and the place is biker friendly. In Zurich parking is expensive and quite complex if you are not familiar. So the gentleman who were in charge of the place were very kind and helpful. He offered us to put our bikes into y parking spot for free. So go and stay 🙃

We thought we couldn’t get in, but a member of staff came to help. Maybe he had seen us in the CCTV? We didn’t have breakfast, but it was lovely having some little chocolates and some crackers in our room. It was clean and the shutters made it dark, which was great.

A building was being demolished across the road so it was noisy at times and the air was very dusty. Not anyone’s fault!

From the one hand, hotel is located very close to train station what makes it ideal, if you are staying only for one night and after go elsewhere. Also very clean room with all conditions. Perfect for its price

From the other side, it is close to red lights area that makes it not safe for solo travellers, especially ladies, I would say. Another thing- they don’t have elevator, so if you are travelling with something more than backpack it would be inconvenient

Check in was easy, no waiting times, all working fine. The room was really clean and the bed really comfortable! Great value for money.

For us was not a problem at all, but the neighborhood for someone could be a bit sketchy. Remember that anyway we are in Zurich and it is a safe area! We come every year in this hotel and never had any issue. Value for the money is great and overall we had a great experience !!
