The beds were very comfortable. The location is great because it’s near the train station. There was a very good breakfast in the sister hotel a block away.

Because it is a self check in hotel, there is no staff to help you if your key card quits working.

We booked this hotel because we had an early train to catch, and the location couldn’t be better — it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the main station. The room was small but cozy, clearly designed for a good night’s rest. The bed was very comfortable, and the design — especially in the bathroom — was stylish and well thought out. A great place to stay for a few days. We also really liked the bar instead of a traditional hotel lobby. It had a nice, intimate atmosphere, almost like a gentleman’s club, and the bartender was very friendly

Unfortunately, the cream provided for coffee in the room was spoiled - it seems it hadn’t been replaced since the previous guest. But honestly, that’s a minor issue and didn’t affect our overall impression.

The location is great, also the hotel room view was nice and had a lively vibe. Theres's a great cafe downstairs, with super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel room had everything you would expect and was spotless clean.

The shower holder was broken and it made it very uncomfortable. I spoke to reception and they did offer a free breakfast as compensation, but it would have been nicer to get that solved. Also there were two beds with a noticeable space between them. Not ideal.

Planned as just a quick stopover for work, I´d be happy to come back and stay for more nights! The rooms are small but cozy, really comfy and large beds. Cute little cafe / bar served by super friendly staff, perfect to wind down with some beers, wine and snacks / baguettes. Fantastic location just behind the train station and bars and cafe´s all around. Spotless !

Checkin is a bit cumbersome since it´s fully automated and you stand in the restaurant typing your details into a screen so everyone can walk by and see it, but in the end it´s no trouble at all; so just a bit to get-used-to.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the main station, making it very convenient for travellers. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. For Zurich, the hotel offers good value for money, which is not easy to come by. Overall, I would recommend Boutique Hotel Josef if you’re looking for a well-located, affordable option in Zurich.

There’s no shower curtain, so water tends to splash everywhere, which can be frustrating. The cleanliness was average – it could have been a bit better. There’s no chair or table in the room, which made it a bit uncomfortable when trying to do anything other than lie on the bed.

Boutique Hotel Josef is spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The hotel is centrally located. Even though it is only a three-minute walk away from the main train station, this is a quiet quarter of the city and the rooms and windows seem sound-proofed. We requested a room on the opposite side to the station and it was lovely and peaceful. There is a handy luggage room facility, so you can continue to tour around without dragging your cases with you either before you check-in or after you check-out. It is possible to have breakfast in a sister hotel just up the road, but we ate out elsewhere as there are so many eateries in the vicinity. Il Baretto café on the ground floor is a good place to sit outside under parasols and watch the world go by, while you are waiting for a train/bus on a hot day. The Wi-Fi service was good.

We had a few problems with the automatic check-in on arrival, but luckily the attached café was open and the barista was able to help us. There were no instructions beside the coffee-maker in the room and we were not able to figure out how to use it or to boil water.

The location is very near to Zurich train station. The room size is nice.

No air-conditioner nor fridge in rooms. We opened windows to help cool down the rooms. Fortunately the surrounding are relatively quiet despite the proximity to Zurich main station. The shower area is not well-designed; the floors are all wet after shower. The hotel asked all guests to self-key in all information for registration & check-in. This may not be convenient for guests who are not good with English/ German.

I often stay at this hotel in a superior suite, often being twice a year for about 4-5 nights. The location is excellent for most things, has a supermarket accross the road selling everything you could want, train station 5-10 minutes walk away and it has 24 hour automated access so arriving late into the evening is no problem. The hotel guest's are respectful of others (no noise) and it is quiet considering being a city centre location

The only issue I had was instead of a fridge my room had a wine coolet and not a fridge, this made it difficult to stack food and small items like fruit, and other snacks needing to be keep cool

Location is accessible and close to the main station Hotel is near coop as well so very convenient Has nespresso machine Not sure if the toiletries provided are Molton Brown but they smell so nice-they have shower gels,lotion,shampoo and even conditioner and hand gels- they smell so gooood! Bed is comfortable Wifi is good Love the self check in and check out

Room is small but functional Would love if there is a Youtube/Netflix function on the TV-it’s smart tv but we could not get it to show youtube/netflix as it won’t connect to the internet Don’t know how to change to English language as well :)

Close to train station, comfortable room, smart and roomy cafe on ground floor where you could relax and enjoy atmosphere.

Self check-in system malfunctioned so did not issue keycard, luckily cafe staff member assisted me and she contacted sister hotel nearby (Hotel Montana) and receptionist brought over card. Later in the evening when cafe was closed, I helped another guest trying to check in and she also did not get card. During my stay I had to go over to Hotel Montana twice because cards failed to open room door.
