One of the bedside lamps could not operate as there was no electrical outlet to accommodate it. Both my wife and I thought the room was overall I little dimly lite. This is a standard complaint towards many accommodations, but why have only one folding luggage rack in the room when you know there are going to be two occupants?!? Two would have been nice. Would have been nice to be informed in advance if the very nearby train station was the terminus for the Zürich airport train. Could have saved me about 60 francs

Good property ; well placed near to the Zurich bus station and Tram station!! Zurich HB was only 7mins a walk!

Considering the price, the room was much more spacious than expected. We could easily open two 28-inch suitcases and one 20-inch suitcase at the same time. The breakfast was excellent, with Chinese-Indian style fried rice, scrambled eggs, and even Thai-favorite Sriracha-style chili sauce. Traveling from Zurich HB was extremely convenient — there are escalators and elevators at the station, and the sidewalks along the way are fairly smooth for rolling luggage. The hotel also has staff available at the reception throughout the day. What’s especially impressive is how simple the self check-in process is: after completing online check-in, you can easily retrieve your key card from the kiosk.

Tip: The hot water in the shower takes a bit of time to come through. Turning on the sink tap as well can help speed it up.

The room was simple yet nice. Nothing special and yet, for this price in Zurich, I will use it again. The breakfast was good. Buffet style. My room was very clean, the shower was good and the bed was comfy. Nothing else to say.

Breakfast service could have been a little more customer-centric. A little smile would have made a big difference to how we start the day. And maybe invest in a new coffee machine. I had asked for a firmer pillow before arrival but there was no mention of that nor a firmer pillow. Anyway, I still had a good night sleep.

Perfect for one night stay if you're arriving late into or leaving early from Zurich Rail Station (3mins.walk) or Zurich bus station (3 mins walk) The area seemed safe with a Coop 1 minute away and an Aldi 3 minutes away. You're right near the city museum, so the location is excellent. Check in was very simple and smooth, the staff allowed us to leave our luggage before the room was ready. Reception is staffed 24hours... breakfast is included which is rare nowadays... the room was clean and tidy

Shower curtain in our room was an inch too short so water ran on the floor... The cleaning was to a very high standard generally but somehow one long dark hair had been missed on the white bathroom tiles over the bath! Expensive for what it is.

It was fine. You don't expect much for that price in Zurich, and you don't get much - quite reasonable on a "rapport qualité prix" basis. Breakfast was extremely good. Beds comfortable (except for pillows), room clean, bathroom decent enough, with the benefit of a bath(tub).

Being online checkin, you have no contact with staff, or anyone else, unless you seek it. That's fine, just (maybe) not what you're used to. In line with all hotels I've experienced in the region, pillows were way too soft, which, while absolutely normal, spoils what otherwise would be a good sleep (for those not used to them). Location feels distinctly inferior to old town, which it is, and that is reflected in the price.

The room was a bit small by North American standards, but very comfy nonetheless. We were especially pleased with the breakfast, which was included with the room. There were eggs, sausage/bacon, fresh bread, croissants and buns. There were three types of yogurt, muesli, porridge, sliced deli meats, fresh fruit, and so on. It was very impressive. We especially liked the fact that we were within a couple of blocks of Zurich Central Station, as we travelled almost every day by train.

Walking up the street that the hotel is on was a bit iffy for us, safety wise. It appeared a bit rundown and had a sex shop on it. Having said that, after the first day, we walked along the street that backs onto the train station, and then over to the hotel. It was wider, with more people walking the streets. There was also a small Coop where we were able to buy some food items during our stay. From there, the hotel was just around the corner. That problem solved.

Breakfast was very good, with good variety. Nearer a 4star than a 3star. Comfortable clean room, with modern bathroom.

Did not affect us, as outside temperature was comfortable, so could keep window open, but room does not have air conditioning, so maybe a problem for some if outside temperature is high. However, the room does have a Dyson fan, which we did not need but would be useful on very hot days.

Practical location, quiet though just 7-min walk from the train station and trams. The staff is friendly : it is always great to have a REAL person who greets us 24/7. I so appreciate each one who handles the reception at the Montana Hotel. ... and I always love to start the day with a nice breakfast. Gratitude for all.

The availability of adaptor plugs for those traveling from abroad would be a plus in the rooms. My poor friend had to work on her computer on a chair parked beside the entrance door of our room.

Breakfast was amazing. Huge variety of options. Room size was good, able to fit two big luggages. Shower and toilet were clean. Location was perfect, very close to the HBF, nearby you can find numbers of restaurant and a supermarket.

My visit was in late June, my room was located on the top floor (5th floor), a Dyson fan was provided but obviously not strong enough to cool down the room during summer. Also, as Dyson owner myself, it was a but frustrated that there was no remote control of the fan so that I can adjust the level and spins...etc. Level 10 was pre-set and it was quite loud to use that level when you were sleeping. Also, the desk was not that clean, it was a bit sticky...
