I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, and originally it was recommended by friends who have used it to accommodate business visitors. It's a good, clean and spacious hotel with a fair price tag in a convenient location for Sukhumvit and Asoke MRT / BTS. I rarely need much help during my stays but I know the staff are attentive and happy to help when asked. Breakfast has a good mix of local and western food options. I view Soi 23 as a safe street to walk in.

No issue for me, but newcomers to Bangkok should be aware that while the hotel itself is quiet and business and family friendly, Soi 23 does have some nightlife which is characteristic of the area, with Soi Cowboy; various bars / pubs and inevitably some less than top grade massage parlours.

Friendly Staff, decent room, good internet, decent breakfast, and the location is great.

Laundry service is very expensive. It cost me over 1100 THB for 2 to 3 pounds of linen. I believe they charge by the piece, but I did not have very much. I didn't check the prices just down the street close to the hotel, but there is a "Mr. Laundry" close by on the same street.

The room was exceptionally spacious at 35sqm. It was nice to have a couch to sit on and relax, compared with many 3 star hotels that are standard 25 sqm and do not have a seating area. Nice to have facilities like lobby lounge, restaurant, outdoor bar, bell desk, pool, gym and sauna. Location was very convenient. Easy short walk into Interchange 21 building that was connected undercover to Asok station.

The facilities are a bit dated but very well maintained compared to some 4-star hotel that I saw.. Soi Cowboy is closeby but safe to walk through, especially before 6pm. Lots of street food carts.

The location was good, very central and about 5mins walk from Sukhumvit metro station. Room was spacious, clean and the bed and linen was comfy and clean. Breakfast was good with a massive selection - something for every taste. Pool was refreshing, and gym had a good assortment of equipment - all of which I managed to avoid using. Concierge was a little too jumpy - offered me a taxi booking every time I walked near the door, and was quite pushy with it. Air con - great that the rooms had it, BUT it’s linked to the lights system so only runs when the card is in. It was around 25-27 degrees while I was there, but that did mean for a comfortable nights sleep I had to have it running (loud!!) all night as it was cooling from the day. I know this is an environmental / cost thing, but I am sure maintaining a temperature is more cost effective than having to massively cool the room 3-4 times a day.

Very flexible hotel as they have good policies for early checkin and late checkout and much better than other hotels. Rooms were nicely decorated and some rooms are renovated. Housekeeping and cleaning were excellent. We requested for a room with a view and seems they carefully reviewed this and provided us with a corner room with a good view so great attention to customer requests. We had an issue with the A/c which they promptly attended too and fixed straightaway.

1. Wifi was quite bad and kept dropping at times 2. They charge you even if you get an extra bottle of water which is unlike other properties where they give that to you for free 3. Breakfast not great and we were not sure if they could make us eggs to order. The ones there were cold and not good. Nothing major but thought of mentioning as feedback for improvement

I have stayed at Tai Pan on many on many occasions between 2014/2015. This is the first time back in 2025. It tells me a lot about this hotel. When so many of the staff are still working at Tai Pan. The only change in this area is the ages. Including mine. They are all very helpful. And even remember you after many years. I also noticed a few changes in the upgrade of the key card. The rooms are still large with a comfortable bed. And renewed shower cubical. In short, I am glad I came back.

Nothing for me to dislike

its within a 2 minute walk with a suit case from the subway/metro line, breakfast has a wide selection of food available from cereals to cooked Thai style cuisine, the staff are very efficient and polite they even arranged a fixed price taxi for me in the morning to go to the airport . when I go to Thailand I dont bother looking for any other hotels, I just book in here, its convenient, reasonably priced, and its clean and modern

I cant think of anything bad about the place

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Soi Cowboy and just a couple of stations away from Nana Plaza, making it ideal for exploring Bangkok's nightlife. The neighborhood is pleasant, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a busy day.

While the rooms were comfortable, they did feel a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom appeared dated, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. A modern update would make a significant difference.

- Good location near the Asok station : If you got lost, find the Hilton hotel. The hotel located near the Hilton hotel. - Kind hotel employee : Even hotel door man(i don't know his name) and front desk woman try to help me a lot. I arrived hotel more earlier than check-in time, the front desk woman helped me to do check-in more early. Door man helped me leaving the luggage at the hotel, even in my check-out day. Also i got warm welcome by all workers who work in this hotel. I really appreciate all those kindness. - Basic amenity : Shampoo, body wash, towel were given to all tourists. - Quiet swimming pool : Only swim suit needed. No swimming hat. - Giving Pen, Memo pad : I enjoyed drawining my Bangkok travel 😉

- Basic amenity didn't include toothbrush - Water pressure in shower booth was weak. You need little more time to take a shower.
