It’s tucked away from any busy roads, but is close enough to get to everything within a short tuk tuk ride. We reserved the family room with a king bed and two additional beds and it came with two bathrooms. The showers are simple, but effective with a localized mini adjustable water heater, and two ACs to cool the room, since it’s larger than the others. Staff will also come in and refill waters, and toilet paper, and refresh trash bins for you. Really enjoyed my stay!

Nothing really. The bathrooms aren’t to top tier hotel standard, but for the price that’s ok. It gives a more local feel that I like.

I have no hesitation in recommending Apilapa Hotel as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. First I must comment on how delightful and helpful Kwan and her family are - I felt so comfortable and 'at home' while visiting their hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the amenities (including wifi) working well. The hotel is located in a great area - 5 minute walk to The Bear Fight Club (highly recommend if you're looking for Muay Thai training), 'Chiang Mai 420' (a favorite place to visit), and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The 7-Eleven is about a 10 minute walk, very convenient.

Our host, Kwan was super friendly and helpful. Had our room ready to check in early at 11am when we got in early from the night train. Via WhatsApp she was always available to help with recommendations and set up a massage appointment for us with Chinola massage which was very good, professional and good value. She also gave us a complementary Kratong (floating candle) for us to put in the river for the festival. The room was very clean and comfortable. And the hotel was located in a quiet area, but not too far from points of interest.

Suited our needs. Kuan was extremely accommodating as our stay progressed so did the facilities, from cushion for our outside area to laundry basket in our room. Christmas and new year cookies, along with a leaving gift. Thank you we also had a gift of fresh coconut given to us both. Amazing little place and mostly quiet.

When we arrived a few guests were smoking cannabis Not pleasant as the smell lingers. Not the owners fault. Just ignorant people.

I absolutely loved staying at Apilapa hotel. It was clean, comfortable, hot showers, laundry service available, and walking distance to great restaurants, coffee show, temples, etc. The hotel is centrally located by also quiet at night which was important to me. Kwan is the host and she was so friendly and helpful! Kwan gave a very warm welcome and helped me book all the tours and provided restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this hotel!

Second visit to this hotel while training at Bear Fight Club - Kwan and her family are wonderful and generous hosts who put so much love and care into hosting visitors. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well, AC was cold, water for shower was hot. There's a 7-Eleven only 10 minutes walk away, numerous cafes and restaurants nearby, and a 420 dispensary closeby also. If this sounds like a good time, go ahead and book without delay.

Nice small hotel in the old part of Chiang Mai. Location is very walkable to the Wats and food options. Rooms were neat and clean. Service was excellent, they even remembered my birthday! Good value for money. Laundry on site is very convenient Loved the water cooler outside with hot and cold water.

Regular rooms are on the smaller side. We got the larger family room which is basically two rooms

The staff is very welcoming and ready to make your stay as good as possible, location is very good, near coffee shops and restaurants and also very quiet at night for a good sleep, room is cleaned every day.

The room is not so big, so there is no place to put your clothes, but if you are here for a short stay, this shouldn't be an issue

The best - Kwan! She welcomed us ( by name) when we arrived and she continued to be so helpful throughout our time here. We also loved the way the hotel is nestled back off the busy street. We were provided water and snacks and support when booking tours, etc..

It was an exceptional stay here, i planed first to stay just 3 nights, then i decided to stay more. First to the hotel: it is located in the old town and surrounded by alot of restaurants, Café, massage salons, laundry, ATMs and supermarket. From the Airport it takes 15 minutes. The Hotel is very quiet despite the central location and kept always tidy and clean with room service everyday. The room was big, clean and has, at least for me, everything what man needs. The biggest plus of this place is Ms. Kwan and her family, who manage this place and go every mile for convenience of the guests. Ms. Kwan is extremely friendly and helpful. I liked also the small hand written note welcoming me individually in the room, as i checked in and also the souvenir as i checked out. I felt like home. It is highly recommended to stay here, next time in Chiang Mai this hotel is going to be my first choice definitely.
