Cute small hotel with great design. Very friendly staff - everybody was super friendly and spoke very good English. I also liked the small but nice breakfast selection - much better than putting everything out and letting it go to waste. The room design was also super nice - very clean and modern design.

The sound insulation of the rooms is not to European standards. I had booked the largest room category but even there you could hear the neighbours from the next room easily. Thankfully, the very nice hotel management moved me up to the penthouse room to accommodate for that, but I assume that the sound insulation is even more of an issue in the regular rooms.

Stayed 3 nights at Kiri Chiang Mai. The hotel is located within the Old City, about 5 mins walk to the famous Tha Pae Gate. It is also within walking distance to Wat Chedi Luang, the 3 Kings Statues, the Sunday Market and some other shrines and temples. The hotel has a very small room inventory so it is advisable to book early. All rooms are facing the rectangular swimming pool and it is a pretty sight to look at. The hotel is designed centric, cool and chic. It is inclined towards the clean line, black & white and minimalist design concept. The room is nicely decorated, not luxurious but functional and with some stylish elements such as the motif floor tiles and cement screeded ceilings. The bathroom is spacious, comprises only standing shower and WC. The glass panel can be shielded just by pressing a button. Pretty cool. The wash basin is located outside the bathroom, next to the open concept hanging wardrobe. The breakfast is charged at 250 Baht per person. Simple, adequate, value for money for the price that you paid for. It is an a la carte buffet and you can order as many as you wish. Nothing extravagant so do manage your expectations accordingly. The hotel is slightly more expensive than most of their competitors but it is still reasonably priced so if you are looking for a designed centric hotel with a pool, this is it!

No gym

Kiri Hotel was the second stop on our 2 week vacation in Thailand. It’s located in a great are of Chiang mai, very walkable with lot of options and a 7/11 just around the corner! The Lanna Market is just a 2 minute walk away walk away and is open everyday for great street food options! The night bazar is about a 15 minute drive but I recommend staying at Kiri to avoid all those crowds at night. Staff are excellent and super resourceful and always available to help with the any question! They did a beautiful set up for our honeymoon in the room! 100% recommend.

The location is great and located in a cute, quite alley near the main street. Swimming pool is stunning and oddly we were always alone there. The stuff members are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and most suitable for couples.

We didn’t like the water pressure in the shower. The hotel provides very small bottles of shampoo and body wash, enough for 1 person for 1 shower. They provided more when we asked but this is basic cleaning products that should be enough at least for 2 people. Although the bathroom is pretty big, there are no towel hangers (besides the ladder outside the bathroom), which was very inconvenient.

The location is perfect: very close to night life and food places yet you can’t hear a thing when in the room. We had the king room with pool access and even though we did not use the pool much because of the slightly chill weather, it was great to have the chance to sit outside. Also the towels in the bathroom were super soft !

Very minor cleaning details could have improved the experience: we found a hair in the shower on first day and a tiny spot on the sheets (which are likely just a bit worn out).

Fantastic staff, very helpful and booked lots of tours for us (Elephant visit at Elephant Nature Park, Massage, Sticky Waterfalls, Chiang Rai private car etc). The room was very clean and towels refreshed daily. Hotel pool was very clean and the location was perfect with a 7-Eleven just around the corner, a nice brunch spot next door and a fantastic rooftop bar. Highly recommend

Great location and awesome to walk around the alleys of this side of Old Town. Pretty aspect overlooking the pool area. Nice view from the 4th floor dining area too. Friendly staff on site and there is overnight security presence too so it's nice and safe. Plenty of massage and food options within just a few metres and minutes of the hotel. Nice bath in the room. Great price overall! We enjoyed the location for walking better than other hotels we stayed at in town.

Noise from the pool area is a bit annoying as the hotel is quite small and the pool is the centre piece so you get a lot of noise when people are having fun in the pool. We were still able to relax and enjoy some downtime but just noting it does get pool noise throughout the day.

The location was perfect for us. The staff were very good and responsive, the room and the property were very clean. The balcony was also great to have a glass of wine at night, when the temperature were cooler.

Additional storage for clothes would have been very welcome. A suggestion would be to have an additional dresser or a wardrobe for hanging clothes and perhaps some wall hooks. The bathtub was in an unpractical location and was not used.

Kiri Hotel was very well located within the walled part of the city. It was a quaint boutique type hotel that had good amenities.

I felt some of the toiletries were basic or non-existent. For example there was only one small (sliver) of basic bar soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo. Many hotels have moved to refillable dispensers and that would have been nice. Towels were also very basic and you had to ask for more when housekeeping came around.
