The hotel is located in a small street within walking distance of pretty much everything: center, restaurants, bars, clubs, food market. It has the perfect location to walk around the center of Chiang Mai. The personal was always very friendly and helpful. The room was very big, with two beds, mirror, a big closet, table and windows. The bath was also very big and well equipped.

While the room was overall very clean and the bathroom as well, there were some mold spots in the shower that made it look dirty even when it wasn't. Also there was no shower courtain so it gets a bit wet outside the shower ... but it is not really a big deal. Despite this, I would stay here again.

A very friendly hotel at the old city and next to the Tha Phae Gate. It's not so modern, but everything was working efficiently. The AC was great, plenty of warm water and a small fridge was enough to make my stay comfortable. The cleaning was taking place whenever it was requested and the managers were always providing any extra supplies were needed. The room was quite big and there was also a closed wardrobe for my clothes. In general it is in a quiet neighbourhood and had no issues with sleeping. Also, there is enough parking space in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. A 7/11 supermarket is 5-6 minutes away and there are many caffeterias and small restaurants around.

- At night there was not enough hot water. - It would be better to have a shower curtain to stop the water from going all around the bathroom, after every shower.

Comfortable king size bed! Hot water shower. The owner couple is really really nice and kind. Their daughter is also so cute. 1 min walk to the east gate of old town.

WiFi is too slow on 1st floor. The facilities in the room are a bit old…but overall is a good place to stay for few days

The family running the hotel are extremely lovely people who keep the place in great order. The rooms are fantastic. For a remote worker like myself, I need a spacious, airy room with a balcony. And this place lived up to the expectation. The location is excellent and accessible to many key places including a 7 Eleven store that's just a 2 min walk. I love the fact that this place is quiet and yet accessible to the main areas. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one 🙏

We loved our stay here. Lovely big rooms with a large double bed. The shower has great pressure, nice and hot if you want. We were able to refill our water bottles at the reception. Great private balcony. Close to restaurants and bars. 7 eleven just around the corner. Defiantly recommend when staying in Chiang Mai. We stayed here twice before and after going to Pai. They organized our shuttle to Pai for us. Also the Sunday street market is at the end of the road, defiantly worth checking out.

I recently stayed at the TJR Boutique, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The pressure of the water in the shower was invigorating and refreshing, making every shower a delightful experience. But what truly impressed me was the speed of the internet. It was remarkable, perfect for both work and leisure activities. There is very helpful family in charge with adorable daughter. Additionally, the hotel's great location provided easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect stay and convenience. Bonus: there’s a water cooler at the reception so u can refill ur bottle, and free tea/coffee.

The room was big, pleasant and clean. I had a room with a kitchenette and a small balcony over looking the narrow street where the hotel is located (see photo of the view from the balcony). The hotel is in a perfect location, walking distance to everything.

Just be aware: my room was on the 4th floor with no lift so it could be tough for some people. Also, the way the shower is built means that the bathroom turns into a swimming pool after each shower.

This is a nice place that ticks the necessary boxes, the location is very good, the beds are comfortable, it has a fridge, safety deposit box and a fair sized balcony plus sockets near the bed. The hosts speak limited English but are friendly and helpful.

Maybe just unfortunate in the room I was allocated being on the 4th floor with no lift and the shower in that room must be hand-held to be useful. Getting the shower cooler can also be a challenge, not best in sweltering heat as the room has no fan and the air-con can take a while to get the room cool. That said, none of these were disasters and overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Perfect central location. Older property but good for the price. Decent size room with small kitchen, burner, fridge & basics if you want to cook. Very friendly staff, English was limited but able to communicate basics. Cleaning of room has to be requested, but you can help yourself to toilet rolls, shampoo etc.

Bath tub needed some work but seemed like other rooms were gradually being updated.

We stayed in several equivalent hotels in this area during an extended stay in Chiang Mai. TJR Boutique was without question our favourite. The rooms are clean and spacious with a small, private balcony and a small fridge. The location is perfect for getting around the old town on foot. We were playing music, and all the venues were within easy walking distance (Moat House, Troubador, Thapae East, Boy Blues, Paappu House). The family was very welcoming and respectful and even let me borrow some kitchen space. Thank you!
