You have to climb steps though they provide shuttle from reception but till reception it's almost two floors. They provide shuttle to kata beach both ways but to kata noi beach only one way.

The location, the room, and breakfast.

The water temperature would vary from hot to cold then cold to hot. Also the hotel is on a hill therefore I asked for help with our luggage before checkout. I pre scheduled a time through WhatsApp for their services and they guaranteed to help us. But they forgot and when I asked them during checkout they said it was my responsibility to call them again.

The hotel benefits from exceptional staff. Shout out to Kelly on reception who was truly amazing, Puen and housekeeping who did everything to make our stay memorable. The driver Alan was also so kind to us.

Very minor issues that really weren't a problem. The music poolside was a little loud. If we had asked it would have been turned down. Roads around Kata Beach are narrow and busy so one has to take care. Overall a brilliant 3 week stay and would be happy to return. Food in the restaurant was very good and priced in line with other local restaurants. The Hotel is built on the side of a hill so steps are inevitable. If you lack mobility this isn't the hotel for you. We would recommend upgrading to deluxe sea view as its worth it.

The location was perfect. We were able to easily walk to both Kata and Kata Noi beaches. The staff was incredibly attentive. I asked for some gluten free bread for breakfast and they were able to provide that for me. The room had one of the best views we have had during our travels.

Very good value for money. I really loved the location and the communal pool area / cafe was excellent. The staff were generally very helpfulThe rooms were generally pretty good and we were really pleased that we got an adjoining room for our teenagers. The views were excellent oh and the breakfast was varied and decent standard for a Buffet.

The shower in room 644 was shocking and pointing at your face instead of your head. It was clearly missing an attachment. I made mention of it but simply got a smile but no solution. TV was pointless and didn’t work - no signal…. When we checked in the room wasn’t ready until 4.30pm - 2.5 hours after the 2pm check in time. There was no apology just a smile. I asked if we could keep one of our rooms until 3pm which was 3 hours longer than the 12pm check out as we were getting a late flight to London. The management wouldn’t oblige and instead wanted to charge us 600 Bhat . I thought that was cheeky but declined and didn’t make a fuss.

Our room had the best view of Kata in my opinion, large clean rooms, good pool and sun loungers. Restaurant served great food. Overall great hotel for the price.

The only down side is the hotel is built on a hill side with lots of stairs to climb to get to the higher up rooms, I would say I had to climb 100? steps to get to my room, times this by 4 or 5 times per day in 30c+ temps and it can get quite tiresome. If you are elderly or in poor physical condition you might want to think twice.

Stunning location right in between two beaches, Kata and Kata Noi and incredible panoramic sea view from the room. Close proximity to everything, three minute walk to the beach and two steps away from great cafes, shops, laundries, and everything you else you might need. The pool is great, very clean with a good depth for both kids and adults to enjoy. Stuff was incredibly helpful, happy and welcoming. Very kid friendly hotel as well. Massage at this hotel is incredible, I’ve tried few ones around but I should’ve came to have it at the hotel straight away - it was an authentic professional Thai massage done by a real masseuse, which isn’t always the case in Thailand. The only thing to note that the place does have a few steps, however they provide free shuttle to the higher rooms any time you need it, and we liked to walk up for the sake of exercise :)

I liked it all

We had a fantastic stay at Orchidacea! The staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was really good, offering a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The rooms were modern and new, with an amazing view of the ocean and city. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

There were a couple of small issues during our stay. The refrigerator either froze our beverages completely or didn’t cool them at all, which made it hard to store drinks properly. Also, the toilet didn’t always flush fully, which was a bit annoying.

The dinner restaurant ( not breakfast restaurant ）has a great atmosphere and when a customer enters, the resident singer will welcome the customer and will dedicate songs from their country. He also plays an instrument and sings and plays well. When we entered, we were given a song called The Moon Represents My Heart and then a song called Shanghai Tang. He asked me if I was from Shanghai and I said no, I'm quite far from Shanghai, but I have a friend who is from Shanghai and he said he if Guangzhou twice. After the song, the whole restaurant would applaud for him. It's not like the noise of a bar residency or the clutter of a ground floor singer. The restaurant is just a normal pretty restaurant without him. Swimming pool was also great. I will live in the hotel next time I come back to Thailand just because of the swimming pool, the restaurant and the singer.

No lift, too many steps. It is too hard to carry the luggage up to the room.
