The location of Ararat hotel is the gem! Strategically located next to Blue Mosque. So convenient since it's walking distance to main attraction ie. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque & Topkapi palace. The breakfast restaurant have a very nice view of Blue Mosque & rooftop to view the Marmara sea. Our family room too are facing the Blue Mosque! The room has been refurbished new! The hotel receptionist Muhammad also very helpful, he assisted to do our laundary & give advises on when to visit Topkapi. Thank you Muhammad ❤️ Our family room comes with 1 queen, 2 single beds which is perfectly fit our small family consists of 2 adults 2 children.

There's a little smell in the morning at toilet from the old piping. But it's ok since the hotel is old but has been refurbished. There is only a few rooms available since it's boutique hotel. U need to climb narrow staircase, but it's fine sine the receptionist assisted us with the luggages.

Over all it was please to stay, the rooms were under renovation. Entertainment not enjoyable coz almost all channels are in Turkish language.. Most boring place when you don't have TV of your choice. I took TV box with me they didn't have socket for 3 pins, so could enjoy. Otherwise all was satisfactory.

My advice is to take with you TV box so you can watch YouTube, prime video and Netflix, only if you have subscription for these channels. They use 2 pins plug, make sure you take with you converter.

3 minutes walks to blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. Excellent location. Lots of supermarkets and food options nearby. The bus stop to/from airport was also 2 minutes away. Host was very accommodating. Breakfast wasn’t buffet but delicious.

No elevator so be ready to climb stairs. Rooms are on 2nd floor. No phones/reception (but Mehmet was available on WhatsApp all the time and gave good advise to save us money in transportation).

Location was excellent, from my window I could see the Blue mosque. I could walk to the mosques and sultanamed's area. Restaurant at the top was very good with excellent views and service. The manager Mohamed, he was very helpful since the firs time. We did lost a cell phone in our cab, he did everything to get our cellphone back. In the following days of our stay he gave us a lots of useful tips to get around Istanbul. We didn't like the hotel, we only stay there because Mohamed and the lady working at breakfast make us feel at home.

The rooms were very tiny, and they have humidity problems, also bathrooms have some mold on them. Seems to be and old building and the owner doesn't want to spent too much on it. It's sad because I think this hotel even is small and old, it has a lot of potential, it is very well located and it has some amazing views. And in top of that they have a very good manager that seems to like and love what he does.

It is my 6th visit to Istanbul but I consider my stay in Ararat hotel is the best one and will be my Istanbul hotel destination going forward. Location was perfect and SultanAhmet is my favorite Area, the hotel is extremely close to the Blue mosque and the T1 tram as well I have a very close view for the mosque from my room window. Breakfast is delicious and enough to start the day, it was a plat prepared by the lady in the hotel with very nice selection and combination in addition to fresh omlet & French fries daily & of course turkish çay, with the blue mosque view. Room was very clean and spacious, with free upgrade. There is a roof terrace with very nice restaurant and view for both bosphorus and Blue mosque, and 10% discount for the hotel residents. We really enjoyed and loved our stay sooo much. Special thanks to Mohamed for his help and support especially in our airport transfer, free upgrade for the room and the early check in as well.

Everything was perfect and we enjoyed our stay so much

It was great that breakfast was included. It was fresh cooked and a variety of foods. We stayed 3 days and the woman remembered our morning drink of choice and was very accomodating. Great food!!

One of the bedrooms didn't have a darkening shade in it. This made it easy to see in from the street at night and the streetlights shined in.

Property was in a perfect location , everything was walking distance , rooms were a little small than expected but that wasn’t a big deal . Mohammed made us very comfortable , helpful & responded to any msgs I had sent him within minutes . Dilnaz is a very sweet lady even when she had problems communicating she served breakfast exceptionally every morning . She cleaned our room leaving clean towels everyday . Brilliant stay we had . Lovely view of the blue mosque right outside our bedroom window , busy road infront of the hotel which actually didn’t bother any of us at all , we found it very lively & entertaining .

The only downfall is the stairs carpets , they could do with a change but otherwise nothing negative to say

The location is just awesome. You can't get any closer to the blue mosque than Ararat! The beds were nice and comfortable. The front desk manager, Mohammed, was kind to help us with baggage, laundry, etc. The location will overshadow any shortcomings!!!

Sense of hospitality was missing, Supersmall and compact rooms and bathrooms, Super limited breakfast options. If you ask the lady anything at breakfast, the answer will be "no" 😀. In the double room, apart from bed, may be a couple of feet on all three sides. They insist on turning AC on. However, if we do that, coming back from a tiring hot day, the AC will take an hour to cool.

First impression. Absolutely welcoming from the Hotel Manager Mohammad. I made the booking, was thinking about airport transfer, and Mohammad messaged me asking if I needed this. He arranged it and made our arrival smooth and stress-free. We arrived late at night but were still able to check-in. Location was fantastic. Right behind The Blue Mosque, next to the SultanAhmet. Loads of nice eateries around us, including the hotel's own roof terrace restaurant. The views from the roof terrace are fantastic. Sea one side, the Hagia Sophia and Blue mosque on the other. Breakfast was nice, served daily to each individual (there were seven of us) by a lovely lady, whose attention to each person's needs was meticulous. There are small grocery/convenience stores in the immediate vicinity. Money exchange 2 mins walk away. A bazaar for all your souvenirs right in front of the hotel and the sellers were not pushy at all. Tram just 5mins walk away across the square. Overall a great stay, mainly because of Mohammad who looked after us well, and ensured we weren't overpaying for things and the lovely traditional breakfast in a cosy setting with views of the Blue Mosque. The location just could not be better. We've already decided to return next year and our stay will definitely be here.

We liked the rooms, but because the building is old and so central, space was at a premium. Even then there was adequate space. Some of the fitments need replacing possibly and maybe it's time for refurbishment all round, but it was still a very comfortable stay. Comfortable beds and pillows. Sheets and towels changed daily, rooms cleaned daily. There was smell of damp in some areas, but as I said, it's an old building and these things are to be expected.

Very good localization, very friendly staff- nice and helpfull people, good English knowledge and comunication. Nice terrace and restaurant on the last floor, with a nice view, and wine, / it is not a common thing/. Good point for exploring Old Town in Stambuł, walking dostanie to many acractive areas. It is necessairy to take in account a trafic jam in this area, while ones needs a taxi /it is not a disadvantage, but worth to remmember/. Many restaurants, bazzars and shops in a neighbeehood. I onestly reccomend this place.
