Amazing view from room, great location

Breakfast not various options and staff is very arrogant on the breakfast spot. Staff switching off lights and removing all food and even coffee sharp at 9.25 while still restaurant is full of guests who is still finishing their breakfast. After I made a remark , one of the staff start talking to me in a very rude manner and behaving as a CEO of this hotel. Very unprofessional approach.

The breakfast was very good, very good quality fair selection. Very nice location in the hotel. The rooms could use some freshening up but were comfortable. What the hotel may have lacked in amenities it made up for in ambiance and location. Staff were very helpful and always available. We stayed in room 301 with a balcony that overlooked the Blue Mosque what an inspiring sight. Hotel was located close to the main attractions. There is no doubt that I would stay at the hotel if I return to Istanbul.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator, the staff carried our bags to the rooms and we did walk

Staff were very helpful, friendly, and supportive. Very professional too. The hotel is a historical villa/house, very beautifully decorated inside and outside. Beautiful gardens. Very clean, comfortable, quiet snd nicely decorated rooms. The views from the hotel are amazing; overlooking the Marmara Sea from one side and Sultanahmet Blue mosque from the other side. Most of the rooms overlooking one or the other or both. Bedrooms are quiet, tou cannot hear any street noise, despite being at the footsteps literally of the main sites and of plenty of restaurants and shops. This is the best located hotel for Sultanahmet Blue mosque. Breakfast is diverse and open until at least 10:30am. Rooms are very clean and comfy. Exceptional 4-star hotel!

Bathrooms are either very small or have a high tub which was challenging for my elderly mother to go in and out of the tub but the staff provided a step which helped.

The position is absolutely incredible. The view of the Blue Mosque has to be the best from any hotel in Istanbul. Yet over breakfast and if you book a room at the back, you have an incredible view of The Bosphorus. The staff are great, Serkan (sorry if I have this wrong), even let us use his transport card. Breakfast is plentiful and the rooms opulent.

I read about the hamman-style bathroom and indeed it is peculiar and not practical. Water pools around the loo during showers and then if you use the loo later, the floor is wet. However, the hotel position,beautiful room and lovely staff all make up for the oddity of the shower.

The location, comfort and staff behaviour was exceptional. Really enjoyed the stay as travelling to all tourist spots was very easy to go. I would definitely suggest this hotel to my friends and family.

The breakfast was not up to the mark as there were only a couple of basic things kept in the buffet.

The location of the Hotel is fantastic! It is right behind the blue mosque, with spectacular views from the mosque facing side. The reception desk is very responsive and helpful. The room we stayed in was of a good size, clean and comfortable. I arrived very early with my family (10am), and they were very welcoming and had everything setup ready to go for an early check in (extra bed, and baby cot for my two kids) which was amazing after a long flight.

The hotel towels and dinnerware are now worn out and show their age. Changing those would enhance the experience. Also, I would suggest a staff member at the gate who could help bring in bags (as you have to come through a small front lawn down a few stairs from the road to the front desk).

We had a lovely stay at the Sultanmet Palace Hotel — the location is perfect and the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped. One of the highlights of the hotel was seeing the lovely Sedat each day. He was always warm, friendly, and full of positive energy. Though we didn’t need much during our stay, he kindly brought us bottles of water, helped with our bags, and always made a point of checking in to see if we needed anything, including arranging taxis. Sedat was a gracious, welcoming presence throughout our stay and a real credit to the hotel. Thank you for everything!

Location was phenomenal, walking distance to Topkapi place, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Eyptian Spice Bazar and the tram station which made Galata Tower and Dolmabahce Palace easily accessible too! The staff were really pleasant and helpful and gave excellent recommendations for food and how to get around!! We were fasting as we visited during the month of Ramadan and were provided with suhoor breakfast plates in our rooms in the early morning which was fantastic!

There was a small make up stain on the duvet - but the staff were very willing to sort out any problems.

The palace and the courtyard grounds were beautiful. The location was very convenient for all the tourist attractions. The balcony view was amazing and very enjoyable to have breakfast and drinks.

The bathroom was difficult to get in and out of. The Turkish shower was a good concept, but it just didn't fit very well in the bathroom with the space. We got the double with a sea view, but had only a partial view of the sea.

For our first trip to Istanbul, the staff at Sultanahmet Palace hotel ensured that we arrived in comfort, and remained that way through the duration of our stay. Myself and my wife both enjoyed our stay in our room, but more importantly the interactions with the each of the staff members and facilities management. They went out of their way to ensure that our needs were immediately met, even going above and beyond to ensure we knew how to navigate the local tram, pointed out sites, and even helped coordinate transportation for when we left the city center to visit Eyupsultan & other sites not within walking distance. The staff maintained a level of cleanliness and decorum that was respectful to the guests, but most importantly, it reflected the reverence the facility held for being in the footprint of the revered Blue Mosque. We were grateful for the ability to stay here, and will book again when we return InshAllah.

These are not NOT LIKES, but things to be aware of: -the AC blows cold, but requires that the room key or similar credit card shaped item is inserted into the slot, which acts a master switch for power to the room and heating/cooling system. -the second floor room bathrooms have a shower head, but also have a basin that fills up with water to bathe yourself in a traditional sense; request extra towels in case the floor gets wet! -If you need an iron/ironing board to press your clothes, you have to request it from the front desk, who immediately coordinate access/use.
