The location of this hotel is wonderful central location to all public transport amenities. The hotel staff professional and work fantastic as team. Every single staff member from Reception to cleaning to management was magnificent and I would definitely return. The food and beverage staff at the breakfast buffet outstanding made you feel so comfortable and any request was no drama. I would really like to thank the staff for making my stay special.

The location is excellent, as it is very close to the main attractions. The room was small but provided everything we needed, and the large windows allowed for plenty of natural light. The staff at the front desk were always kind and available; I had to call them three times for various issues, and they responded promptly, coming to our room in a short amount of time. We also utilized the laundry service, which worked well. We dropped off our clothes around 11 AM, and they were returned to us by 11 PM on the same day.

This is more of a personal comment/preference than a complaint. While breakfast was good, I would have appreciated more options. They prepare some dishes for you, but the egg plates are the only choice available. It would have been nice to also have options like pancakes or French toast. As a five-star hotel, I expected to be able to order a cappuccino from the bar at breakfast instead of using the coffee machine, which doesn't make a good cappuccino.

Location was excellent, 3 min walking distance from Galata bridge. The hotel is on a narrow street, which means it's very quiet and avoids the huge noise coming from Tersane street. The breakfast is very good, having a variety of nuts, dried fruits and honey which you can accompany with yoghurt. There are also different choices everyday regarding traditional dishes, like sausages, crepes, grilled vegetables and so. There's also a complete menu of different eggs plates to select from, which are prepared at that moment. Staff was kind and helpful and provided great tips and info when we asked for tourist advice.

Still haven't figured out why it's considered a 5-star hotel. Rooms were modern, clean and adequately roomy (even the 18m2 one), but I can't feel I got some "special" treatment at any point in order to rank it as 5-star. Also both the espresso and the filter coffee coming from the breakfast machine are almost inedible, so I suggest you plan for a takeaway coffee once you get out of the hotel (there are a lot of places nearby). Finally bear in mind that prices usually drop when you are getting close to the trip time. For example we noticed that 1 month before the trip the room was ~100Euros per night and 2 weeks before it dropped to ~75-80Euros. This is typical to Istanbul.

Loved everything ! Location was very near Galata tower Room was spotless and bed was comfortable Breakfast was good. Burcu in breakfast area was super friendly, always smiling and helpful. Zyia at reception was also friendly and had good english also helped us with navigating the city. Hotel is 5 steps aways from tube (not metro) and 5 min away from ferry port takes you anywhere in asian side and 10 min away from Şishane metro station

Room and bathroom were small having 2 large suitcases was a trouble as we weren’t able to walk without jumping over the bags. Also Galata area is on a hill so all streets are narrow and very steep hence not recommended for elder people or people with walking difficulties.

Before coming to Istanbul, I took a long time researching hotels and the best area to stay so it comes as no surprise that Azzap was incredible in terms of locations, it is situated in the heart of Galata and so close to main attractions, it’s a few minutes walk from Karakoy Tram station which is also quite convenient if you want to go sightseeing or catch a ferry. The hotel itself was so clean, any amenities we needed were provided. When we checked in the front desk attendant, Erdcel - was incredible and very helpful! He made sure the stay was perfect! I will definitely be coming to Istanbul again and staying here again - definitely will recommend to my friends and family.

Very nice hotel, with a strategic position with respect to the city centre. Excellent staff, very kind and supportive for any issue, operating also via Whatsapp and answering in real time. We selected a single room, it is ok even though not very large, but the bathroom is new and well furnished. Nice rooftop restaurant with outstanding panoramic view on the city centre.

Breakfast is ok, but it could include more sweet food.

Excellent location- close to tram and next door to funicular that takes you up to istiklal caddesi and metro station. Korakoy ferry pier within 10 minutes walk - we took ferry to Kadikoy from there. Can also easily walk across to Sirkeci and eminonu via the bridge. And bonus 5min climb up to Galata tower. Room was good sized and modern. Breakfast was more than adequate with eggs done the way you want and an opportunity to try some Turkish sweets. Plus point - it was serviced by wonderful lady called Burchu - always smiling and kind.

After an amazing stay at Azzap Hotel last year, we couldn’t wait to return—and I’m thrilled to say this visit was even more incredible than the first! From the moment we stepped onto the property, it felt like coming home. The staff warmly welcomed us back with genuine smiles and even remembered details from our previous stay and my name 🤩 making us feel like valued guests. It’s rare to find a place where the service feels so personal and heartfelt. Our room was once again immaculate

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We loved our stay at Azzap Hotel Galata! The location was perfect — close to the port where we started our sailing trip after a few days exploring Istanbul. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. With easy access to public transportation, getting to the main attractions was simple and really made us feel like locals. The breakfast at the restaurant was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views over the Golden Horn — a highlight of our mornings. And don’t miss the sunset at the nearby Galata Tower — it’s magical. An excellent base for discovering Istanbul, and we would happily return!

There were no issues that I can mention. The street is a bit narrow, so we had to get a cab to the port with our suitcases on the upper street corner (maybe 50 meters away), but the staff was super helpful in organizing it all for us.

Newly renovated, beautifully appointed lobby. Furniture and fragrance in lobby and were very relaxing. Front desk staff were very helpful when needed and very professional. Rooms are perfectly adequate for this boutique hotel. Breakfast staff was one of the nicest people you could meet. Bright and smiling. A real pleasure. The morning river view and evening city views of Istanbul are beautiful. The evening staff at the restaurant are equally professional and attentive. Our bedrooms Rooms were spotless also.

Very very Minor things…. It’s an old (recently restored) building, so their lift is necessarily small with max capacity of 3 x 6ft men.
