Having to share breakfast with the birds. They are quite a nuisance.

One of the best hotels in Cairns. Fabulous pool, comfortable bed with a choice of pillows and depending on your room some spectacular views ! Enjoyed dining and cocktails at the Calypso club. Borrowed bikes to cruise by the water. Clean, stylish interiors. Love that they consider environmental impact/sustainability too.

Gym was small with limited equipment. Food quite expensive by pool and occasionally room service was slow/unresponsive.

The pool is so beautiful, The staff all seem genuinely happy and polite, The view from Rocco is very cool. The beds were so comfy. The linen and towels (including pool towels) were lovely. We were upgraded to a room with pool view and it was great for people watching and relaxing. Excellent room lighting. Nespresso Coffee machine in the room if you like coffee.

Nothing really but since you asked. There weren't any tea cups, house keeping came mostly in the afternoon after 3pm instead of during the day and we were often unable to have our room serviced as we wanted to rest.

We were upgraded to a suite which was amazing on check in! We were travelling with our toddler so the space made a huge difference for naps etc. We had a kitchenette with living area and the bathroom with bath was an extra bonus. Pool was great and very kid friendly with one side having sand. Pool side dining via QR code was so easy. Taxi from the airport was $25 so you don't need a car. The adjoining restaurants were great. Overall it was a well equipped hotel with good amenities and we would go back.

When we arrived they charged us on check in for the total original room price - but I had already pre paid via booking.com. I had to then prove that I had paid (scrolling through statements that evening for Jan charges for our June stay) and they did quickly sort the refund the next day, but this should be a seamless transaction with such a major provider such as booking.com and Crystalbrook. Refunds take up to 7- 10 days to hit your account so it was a little inconvenient. Although we were grateful for the upgrade to the suite, I found it bizarre that there were no supplies with the kitchenette. Some tea towels and dishcloths would have been useful and I was constantly ringing room service for bowls, plates, cutlery etc.

Everything was great. the facilities, services, and overall experience. The pool was exceptional. well managed, with a great vibe and beautiful view. We could really feel the attention to detail throughout our stay. Overall, it was the best hotel we’ve ever been to absolutely perfect for our baby trip 💕

Just one small thing - it was our babymoon trip during the stay, and we were given a lovely gift of chocolate, which we really appreciated. However it seemed to contain a small amount of alcohol. Not a major issue at all, but just something to keep in mind for future guests ◡̈

Stayed in an urban panoramic room with sweeping views of Cairns city and the north end of the Esplanade. Comfy king sized bed and coffee pod machine was a nice inclusion. Beautiful pool and great location within easy walk to restaurants and cafes. We had drinks at Rocco on the rooftop while enjoying the sunset and amazing views. Staff were all friendly. A minor issue with our toilet was fixed promptly. Make sure you join “the crowd” for discounts on food and drinks during your stay. Would definitely stay here again.

No pay TV and we were unable to cast Kayo or Foxtel to our TV. Would’ve thought a 5 star hotel would offer this. Shower design meant that the bathroom floor got quite wet and there was no bench space in bathroom to place toiletries.

Bed was super comfortable. The hotel has a great central location facing the esplanade. Enjoyed the beach vibe style to the pool area

The corridor to my room smelt damp. Looked like the carpet was wet though I couldnt be certain as I wore shoes. My room service order did not meet my requests for exclusion of some items and was barely warm. They called me and asked if they could deliver sooner than the time I had booked. I agreed and second later the waiter was at the door. Felt like perhaps they had been unable to deliver similar order elsewhere and therefore asked if I would take it. This could also explain why the items I told them I didnt want were still on the plate.

Room size. Bathroom. Showers. Lovely pool. Helpful staff. Vouchers for not having room cleaned. Taxi callout.

Pool lounges - people woudl place towels on lounges, then leave for an extended time before returning. Unattended pool lounges longer than 30 minutes should be declared vacant. This is extraordinarily selfish and irritating for guestd who have to miss out, especially for the price per night to stay at the hotel. Food and drink overly expensive.

The pools were amazing. Friendly staff. Great service.

Paying a $500 bond for a short stay. If we didn't have the funds it would've put us in a difficult situation because no hotel in the world has asked us before for a dear bond like $500 for a 5 night stay. Also, although the outdoor pooling area had a 'screen', it would have been in the hotel's interest to show a movie or two while everyone is in the pools. Hence, there was no real outdoor entertainment like even also having a DJ play some music and keeping everyone entertained. Some of the bars were completely 'dead' inside as well.

Situated with uninterrupted views of the sea, a short stroll to the wharf and town centre, Riley was superbly located for our short getaway to Cairns. We had an apartment style with King bed, balcony with stunning views, separate designer bath and spacious living area with those same views. Staff were super friendly and helpful and after leaving AirPods behind contacted us and have arranged for them to be posted. The beach style pool was exceptional - similar to a favourite Peppers in Port Douglas.

Nothing - if I had to say anything it would have been to supply a chux to clean up our coffee cups but it was all done by housekeeping :)
