The location was perfect for what we needed. Ocean view from our balcony, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. The Rydges staff were very accommodating and the property was clean and well maintained.

I’m being really picky because there was nothing else to fault. We had dinner out on Saturday night and had planned to come back to the Allley Bar for the music and a couple of drinks. A DJ was playing music that was far too loud to the point the atmosphere was not enjoyable. We went back to our room. We both love our music, live bands etc but this was too much.

We chose a room with view, 302, and 402 on second visit. The view was indeed really good and was a pleasure to watch the surfers each morning. The room was large and had all that you would require. Carpark was convenient, but expensive! alternative parking would be difficult at that location. Plenty of eating options only a short walk from hotel. Breakfasts were good and your greeted by friendly staff each morning.

We stayed during holiday season and whilst there is a good view it is also on a very busy junction which is rather loud into the night, particularly at weekends. No more so than the ground floor bar of the Hotel itself. Once used to it, it is bearable. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss with random things being neglected and room not serviced every day. Not a showstopper but not good for the rating of the hotel.

King Bed and pillows were very comfy and clean . The View from the balcony and the position of hotel was fantastic. All the Staff were friendly and helpful. The Coffee and tea selection and shower products were great .

The couch bed for our teenager was not comfortable. The walls in the room appear bland with no artwork or full length mirror. The Pool and spa need resurfacing however the water was very clean and the water temperature was fabulous. Fun inflatables are not available for the young. and we didn’t see a bar near the pool so bring your own water.

We had everything we needed, the most amazing part being comfortable mattresses!! (it's hit and miss with hotels and both my teen and I have chronic back pain). No back pain in the morning means a great day ahead ! We loved how organised and clean the room was. We enjoy the opportunity to get away from the city for just one night and thank you to the Rydges for 25% winter discounts that make the stay in this amazing hotel affordable.

Fantastic location & warm reception. Lovely size room & balcony. Super comfy bed & convenient washing facilities for travellers needing to refresh their wardrobe!

The room was tired, understand a refurbishment is due this year. The carpets need shampooing & they need to release all the painted shut windows to remove the damp smell from the bathroom. No advice was given about the visiting wildlife birds on the balcony. Gorgeous to look at, but caused a bit of a fright when they all came down to say hello!

Location and facilities were fantastic. And a free upgrade to a king room was very much appreciated. Staff were lovely. 4.5/5

There was a slight smell when entering the room, to me smelt like horse. Not sure if it was the cleaning chemicals used or the air conditioner. It was only slight and we got used to it after a few minutes. I also thought that paying an extra $30 for parking when staying at the hotel is a bit rough, although most hotels do this.

Location, breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice

Housekeeping- tea tray not replenished and body wash bottle in shower was empty, despite leaving the empty bottle on the side with the lid off and a note, it still wasn't refilled on our return. But a call to reception/Lucy was quickly sorted

The room and hotel were great - the room was large and clean and I enjoyed the large balcony. The Bathroom was a good size and again clean. The breakfast buffet was varied and plenty of fresh food. The staff were helpful and professional at all times.

When I booked this hotel I was under the impression is was "Beachfront" or on the beach - It isn't but I don't think there are any hotels on the beach but I paid for and got a good beach view over the restaurant and over the beachfront restaurants across the street.

The location is fantastic, can't be faulted. Ideal for access to several beaches and walking around the headland promenade. Easy walking access to local shops and restaurants, easy walking access to the train to get to Miranda Westfields. The views over the ocean from the room, and between the trees from the restaurant are beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was more than adequate.

The hotel parking is haphazard when there is high demand. The rooms could use a set of drawers or guests staying more than 1 night.

I was grateful for the staff agreeing to my request for a higher room (on Level 5), as I wasn't keen on the Level 2 room that faced out onto the pool. The view was nice and the room large, comfortable and clean. The location close to the beach and the shopping strip, with cafes etc, was wonderful. Enjoyed being able to park there as well (additional cost worth it). The breakfast included was lovely too and lots of good fresh fruit and hot food selections - and the eating area very nice.

I don't recall there being hangers in the wardrobe, but that's about the only thing I can think of.
