Location is fantastic, you can walk to the centre of the old city , it’s right beside the metro and over looking the canal. But we heard no traffic noise . Our King Room had a great view of St Stephen’s Cathedral. Bed was super comfy with quality pillows, linen and fluffy towels. Huge bath and walk in shower The view from Das Loft is stunning . At night Das Loft has fine dining and also a vibrant bar area where you can also eat. Great staff on reception …very very helpful. Great electrician who fixed the problem in our room immediately with professionalism and humour

Having to queue every morning to get into breakfast. A combination of hotel guests and people coming in for breakfast to enjoy the stunning views means there are a lot of people….however there was only one supervisor ( albeit lovely) on the desk who then showed guests to their tables….which made for a very slow and at times chaotic breakfast service… the staff are lovely and try to be helpful but there needs to be more of them and they need more proactive management and better communication between managers, servers and the kitchen.

Great location and views of the old city. Large rooms, decent breakfast. Above all, amazing service. We had drainage problem in the shower and sink, although it took them 2 days to fix they tried to compensate us.

Dark rooms TV is a bit far from the bed.

Modern luxury. The best views of the city you could have from a hotel room. It was worth every euro.

Almost everything.

The spa doesn’t open until after checkout. I’ve had this a couple of times in my life, but find it utterly bizarre. Unless it’s a ski hotel, where people go to the spa late afternoon, every other time you’d have a swim before / after breakfast. The spa was one of the reasons for booking it. I’m sure it says the opening hours in the booking, but it’s fair to assume it would be open when most people would use it.

Everything! The hotel upgraded us from a standard room to a suite for free, which was such a generous surprise. The location is unbeatable, the design is elegant, and the service was absolutely outstanding. A special thank you to the supervisor, Anousha Jahangard, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. This was my second time at this hotel, but the first time with my family and my child—and it was even more memorable than the first.

Honestly, nothing at all. Every detail exceeded our expectations.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect. It was my birthday, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. They upgraded our room to a larger one, and the views were simply stunning. On my birthday, they surprised me with a cake! The lobby staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted with everything we needed, provided free water and coffee, handled our luggage, and quickly replaced my lost room card without any hassle. Breakfast was phenomenal. The selection was vast, the service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. There were plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians, which is rare in most hotels. Room service was impeccable as well. We were sad to leave, but we're already looking forward to coming back very soon. This hotel has definitely earned our loyalty!

Everything was perfect

This property was amazing. The room. We got up graded to a suite. Lovely big room with a great big bath and shower. Bed was comfortable. You could call room service and they would bring you a selection of self care luxury’s to use. The breakfast was excellent and the 360 view of Vienna was fabulous. We also had a cocktail in the bar in the evening that’s was nice too. Staff very helpful and location was only a 7 minute walk from st Stephen’s. I recommend this hotel.

Nothing it was a great stay

I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and comfortable accommodations. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a stunning view of the city skyline. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was well-stocked with high-quality toiletries. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel’s rooftop bar offered breathtaking views and delicious cocktails—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Overall, our stay was fantastic. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. Thank you to the entire team at SO/ for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future!

Absolutely NOTHING.

Breath taking architecture throughout the hotel. From the beautiful exterior view with all the colour lights in the evening, to city sky line views all around the hotel. But the hotel resturant, ‘Das Loft’ is the reason I booked the hotel for our stay. Unforgettable view of the city in the morning over breakfast and drinks in the evening with the vibe of the live DJ. Exceptional customer service from prior to landing in the country Lavinna was on hand to help with organise special requests of flowers and birthday cake for my wife. Plus further recommendations in the city. The reception team and house keeping couldn’t do enough to cater to our needs being so quick and efficient! Magnificent facilities from the spa that included sauna, steam, two jacuzzi’s and various relaxation rooms. Plus the cardio fitness suite! Will be returning to SO Vienna and the wider group of this is the standard!

I would love to see more weighted equipment in the fitness centre rather than just cardio equipment.

Breakfast was very good. Rooms were very clean. Mini-fridge gets daily refilled with water, juices and snacks and it's free. Staff is very nice and willing to help. Location is just the best. Room windows are unique and the view is amazing. Noise isolation is very good.

Daily room cleaning was not in a set hour, sometimes they came during breakfast and sometimes they didn't arrive the entire day. We kept getting just 2 towels although we were 3 guests and although we asked more than twice at the reception to give us 3 towels. We had to ask for a 3rd towel daily. Some days we got dirty towels (one day even with with blood) which was repulsive. The toilet is not in the same room as the shower and you could hear the water flushing loudly anywhere in the room. The floor is very slippery if getting wet. You could hear other tenants closing their windows. The loft restaurant is stupidly expensive.
