The location is perfect. It is just a few minutes from the train station, and a few minutes from the subway (Airport line). It is within walking distance of great restaurants, of the two shrines in the city and just so well located. When you walk in, the lobby looks so inviting. It is huge and beautiful. The staff are hovering, not in your face but there if you need. They are so friendly and eager to help. The room is lovely, the soaps and lotions are good quality and lots of them. The pyjamas are the best....I wanted to buy them but alas, they don't sell them. I even offered to pay for the ones I used! This hotel is great. Highly recommend

We arrived early in the morning and were unable to check-in. However, front desk allowed us to keep our luggages at the hotel first and did a pre-check-in for us so that when we came to check in, it would be a lot easier and faster. - friendly staff - excellent service (hot towels on arrival) - seamless check-in - beautiful postcards in room - clean and practical room - extremely quiet and comfortable - location is excellent (with convenience store next door and underpass connection, Exit P5 is the closest to the hotel from train station) - lots of shopping around, but area is still quiet - underpass actually leads all the way to Hakata Old Town

I liked that the hotel was very quiet - I seldom saw more than a handful of people at any time - in the lobby, near the escalator, etc., unlike the other three hotels that I stayed at in Fukuoka and Nagasaki. I am thinking of staying here again if I visit Fukuoka again, something I usually never do because I like to try different hotels.

In the other three hotels I stayed at where we arrived early and had to leave my luggage at the hotel, my luggage was waiting in my room when we checked in. Nikko was the only hotel that didn't do this. This is just a small thing and not that important, but I think I should just mention it.

The hotel staff was especially polite, courteous, and attentive. They understand the importance of treating their guests well and obviously take pride in their work. We enjoyed having two different restaurants to choose from for breakfast, one with a set Japanese meal, and the other with an international buffet.This was especially important because our stay included four breakfasts. We were greeted with festive Christmas decorations in the lobby and elsewhere throughout the property. .

The hotel's location is very close to Hakata Station. You can use the underground street and turn at the bike parking area to enter the hotel's B2 floor, whether you take a shuttle bus or a train from the airport. The staff are very nice and patient. They always have a smile on their faces and are willing to help customers such as laundry service or bringing luggage to their rooms. They also lend me a plug adapter because my laptop adapter is in the US format.

I’m really enjoying my stay—thank you for asking! The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, definitely a highlight of the visit. Everything has been comfortable and well-organized.

It’s just a bit of a pity that the gym and swimming pool were unavailable due to renovations. We weren’t informed about this in advance, which was a bit disappointing, but overall the stay has still been very pleasant.

Location: Love it, slightly away walk from Hakata station. Environment: quiet, less crowded. Staff: always friendly and helpful Breakfast: choice between Japanese and western Bed: too soft for my liking but still not too bad Shower: love the water pressure, perfect. This is my second time returning back to this hotel. Never failed me.. will always be my choice of hotel when i am in Fukuoka

Central location, excellent customer care attentive staff with traditional Japanese hospitality. High standard of rooms and hotel facilities. Had direct access to Hakata station only a few 100m away via the Gion passageway very important in inclement weather!

Pricey to use the pool and gym. I was also told I couldn’t use the pool on more than one occasion, there was no booking system so literally had to turn up and take pot luck. The pool was full when 3 people were using it as only one customer per lane. Lovely 20m pool though. The other downside was that no one under the age of 20can use the pool or gym. We had booked the hotel specifically as it had a pool as we were in Fukuoka for the World Masters swimming competition in which I was competing so the lack of access to the pool was extremely disappointing. The location is excellent and the staff is wonderful!

The rooms were very dusty! They have changed towels etc every day, beds immaculate however the carpet is old and it was not vacuumed during our stay on less frequently used places. The corners had visible thick dust. I had to wipe of the dust using wet wipes from certain surfaces in the room after 6 nights of stay as I could not see it any longer. The pool was good however it was disappointing that children could not use it. I have particularly booked this hotel because of the pool and location. The extra charge if I wanted to use the pool and gym is slightly a smaller issue however certainly disappointing for a property of this grand!

Some reviews stated the rooms were a little dated. They were just a little but it reminds me of how a good hotel was like eg mini bottles of alcohol, a fridge full of drinks, small bottles of toiletries. Room was very clean and big including the bathrooms. Location was great and convenient. Staff were hospitable, friendly and approachable. Definitely will come back again .
