Breakfast room was lovely and breakfast offering was ample and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was a nice addition (though they are very strict with finishing time of 10pm!). Music up there was great. We didn't try the secret bar downstairs but the photos I did see of it weren't inspiring so don't think we missed much.

I thought the rooms and corridors were very tired looking and lacked any real decoration/little touches. They didn't live up to what the photos on the website looked like so I have to admit I was disappointed when I walked in. Bed was very comfortable though and shower was good. I'd indicated it was a special birthday for my husband and so expected a nod to the occasion from the hotel like you'd normally get (a note or small token in the room) but there was nothing despite the hotel acknowledging the request.

Breakfast, location and staff were all amazing! I have been to Florence a few times, and this is by far the most convenient location with a fantastic breakfast selection. C2 buses also have stops near this hotel, which is very accessible. The staff also cleaned our room daily, so no complaints there.

If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to change their duvet cover to one that fully encloses the duvet. Since I move around a lot in my sleep, a cover that completely wraps the duvet would help keep it in place better. Additionally, they have a rooftop bar with a fantastic view of Il Duomo. However, it is a bit pricey, and there are no food options available.

Wonderful hotel with friendly helpful staff. The superior room exceeding our expectations with an amazing view of the city. Excellent location, very near the main sights but quiet. We did not book breakfast as wanted to experience a morning coffee and pastry on the Florence streets and there was plenty of lovely choices nearby to choose from. Sunset drinks on the rooftop bar with a 360 view of the city and close view of the dome. The hotel s atmosphere and decor was as grand as it s name suggests and I would definitely return if I ever came back to Florence.

This is an excellent hotel, superbly located (it's about a 2 minute walk to the Duomo), with very nice rooms, decent lifts (by no means a given in European hotels!), an excellent buffet breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff.

The only issue we had was with the terrace - which has stunning views and is otherwise great. We're from Australia, and in common with the USA, UK, NZ and South Africa, smoking is not permitted in public areas such as a terrace. We went to the terrace one evening, and within a few minutes left due to other guests smoking right next to us. This isn't the only time and place that we had issues with this in Italy.

I think the breakfast was the best I've ever had the pleasure of having in the morning. They had everything you could have in a European breakfast. The hotel had a roof top bar which was closed when we where checking out and the staff gave us the opportunity to look out over the city and take pictures. Thank you

Absolutely nothing great location

Location, breakfast, view from roof, staff. We had adjoining family rooms, shared a vestibule. Steps from the Duomo and the Bargello. Well worth it. Would love to stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location. Literally, all major sights and restaurants are within easy reach. I must mention the breakfast - it was really excellent. Very welcoming staff, especially at the reception. I really liked the fact that there is always "life" around the hotel: happy people, celebrations, small shops. In any case, I can definitely recommend this hotel if you want to be in the very center of Florence and if you like an active life around the clock. Be sure to take the opportunity to sit on the roof terrace - even in bad weather, the view of the city from there is impressive.

As in a hotel in the old town, surrounded by thick walls and walls, mobile communications are poor, the hotel's internet could be faster and with a more secure connection.

The hotel is centrally located to all major attractions in Florence. The hotel has old world charm while offering modern ammenties. The front desk staff are very professional and helpful. They understand their customers (vacation) needs and cater to offering the best experience possible. The breakfast was fantastic. My family enjoyed the plethora of food choices offered, something for everyone. The staff were friendly and very fast to ensure the dining area was well maintanined. The hotel partners with a parking garage and will park your vehicle for you for a daily charge. The garage is independant from the hotel but it is a good service because Florence is a ZTL (traffic limited area - fines for non permitted vehicles) but the garage ensures your vehicle is permiited to drive in Florence during your stay. The garage is open from 7:30am - 12am, just plan accordingly if you need your car. We were late one evening due to A1 being closed due to an emergency and the hotel arranged for someone at the garage to take our vehicle after hours! We enjoyed staying at this hotel and expect to return in the future.

Roof top Bar was very nice and the location is very good, close to a lot of history. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent and very helpful especially the concierge!

The single room was very small and had a metal stair and platform, I guess to look at the window that was higher on the wall, but all you see is old rooftops and no historic attractions. I would rather have a desk where I can sit and use my computer, also this contraption made it difficult to more around the room because it was so small. The shower was mediocre, plastic door really.. But very clean. I think for the price they charged, for the room it was OK experience. Not sure I would go again it seems was I penalize for traveling alone.

The staff were exceptionally wonderful, always very helpful and friendly. It seemed most guests were from North America which can be a .. demanding task... The hotel and rooms (we had two rooms) were very clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning staff were amazing. The room was spotless every afternoon we returned from our excursions. The breakfast was very good and offered many choices (we included with reservation). The hotel location is perfect and very close to all attractions.
