Wonderful location. But during the New Year holidays there was thick fog and all the beautiful photos from the window did not come together. It's a pity..Everything else exceeded expectations..The general manager of the hotel does a good job..Professionals work everywhere .High level of service in all restaurants and bars .Fresh food. Quick solution to all problems at the reception .beautiful well maintained spaces in the lounge lobby restaurant and hall Everything in the room is in good working order. Hot water and heat in the room. In general, I liked the New Year's Eve celebration and my stay in this hotel. Thank you.

Fantastic location on the Danube with a beautiful view of castle hill and the chain bridge, next to Vaci Ut. with all the shops and restaurants. Great breakfast. Powerful shower! Close to public transportation that's FREE to everyone over 65, even foreigners!

The location was amazing -- right by the chain bridge with easy walking distance to the castle. The breakfast buffet was really good too!

Great location in the city centre, close to baths, restaurants, interesting places. Awsome view to Buda Castle and river. Very tasty breakfast with a plenty of choice and served coffee. Comfortable bed, clean and all room. Nice is coffee machine and kettler with coffee and tea in a room. Friendly staff, beautiful Christmas decoration in all hotel, nice restaurant and breakfast room.

Spa is poor, not clean, pool water was cold. There was a receptionist who doesn’t care that hotel guests go to see sauna and pool in winter clothes and shoes which they use outside, very disgusting. In the room there was a bit cold, air condition is too loud to be switched of during night. There is a poor soundproofing between the rooms, you can hear everything from the neighbours rooms. But the guests were very polite, so there was no problem with noise.

The view from the room was the best!! The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast delicious. The location is amazing.

We didn’t have Hungarian money our first day, so we brought a big tip for breakfast staff the 2nd day, but the woman wouldn’t serve us. We ate at the hotel restaurant and left a tip when they took our card, and they didn’t bother to tell us they had already added a tip to our bill, which would have been honest. So, our Budapest experience even with this nice hotel and with one other experience with taxi (the one time we didn’t take Bolt) felt like being with wolves. (Says Jim’s wife-she wouldn’t stay here again.)

Staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was really good and not at all forced. Room was of a good size and the bathroom also sizeable. Stocks of the free tea and coffee were replenished daily. Wifi was good. It was nice to be able to access a swimming pool and sauna. The bar had a nice atmosphere and every night there was a pianist playing. Breakfast was also good - ample food and a nice range of foods Location is excellent, right on the river opposite the castle and only a 5 minute walk away from bars and restaurants This hotel was a treat for us, celebrating an anniversary so more than we would normally spend, but it did feel like a "treat" to be here.

I am being picky for the sake of something to write - in the room the plug sockets and charging ports were all on the opposite side to the bed, so could not charge phone next to bed - not the end of the world We also had no access to stairs, only lifts - I personally, for fitness reasons, like to walk up and down stairs, but we could not find them anywhere

Overall, it's quite standard, in terms of room, facilities, breakfast, services etc. - standard that one can get at any similar level of hotel groups around the world. The only exception that makes it distinguished is its grand night view.

Housekeeping - The phone was never answered whenever we called. - The housekeeping could not remember the number of guests in our room even though the sofa bed was unfolded, so we just got two sets of clean towels every night when we arrived our room and coz no one answered the phone, we had to go downstairs to the lobby to ask for one more set of towels. This was a bit frustrating.

Lovely hotel and 1 of the best scenic views I’ve ever had . Even better when a Keanu Reeves movie is being filmed just outside the hotel from just after breakfast, what a fantastic day yesterday. The hotel has a sauna and steam room along with a nice pool , I used the sauna 4 days out of 6, it was brilliant. The Lebanese restaurant was also very nice if you didn’t want to venture out in the evening, brilliant staff . I’ll definitely visit Budapest again and I can guarantee I’ll be staying at the Intercontinental . The location is so central but still the view over the river and to the castle, it’s going to be hard to find a better hotel experience

We had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Budapest. The hotel is perfectly located right on the Danube, offering stunning views of the river and easy access to major attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. One of the highlights was the gym facility – well-equipped, clean, and perfect for a solid workout. The breakfast selection was also impressive, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. The only downside was that the bathroom was quite small, but it was still clean and functional. The staff were professional, attentive, and always willing to help, making my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, an excellent experience, and we would definitely stay here again!
