We were told on first night that the restaurant was shut and only opened 3 days a week, which I found unacceptable as I didn't want to eat food from a al a Carte menu in the bar. After Discussions the manager let us sit in the restaurant for our evening meal which I found very disappointing and quite expensive for the standard of food served ie frozen fish with skin on and awful dry frozen chips £21 and he dessert wasn't much better £9. Certainly not worth the money.The next. There wasn't much on tbe menu to pick from yo start with that's why I ordered fish and chips

The room was originally booked for our anniversary which had to be changed due to a family member falling critically ill. However, we upgraded to a family room and took the kids out over the half term and were absolutely delighted to find the room was decoratedwith towel swans, rose petals and balloons. The gym was well equipped, the breakfast was amazing and the staff were really helpful.

The bathroom door was warped from a previous flooding in the bathroom ( I presume!) This caused issues opening and closing the door especially for the children. The room was really hot and there was no a/c or temperature control in the room. The lobby was like a furnace.

Great location staff were very polite, there was a lovely man downstairs in the food area, so so happy and polite, made us laugh and completely brightened up our day (can’t remember his name possibly jamei) amazing member of staff!

We were booked into a room that had not been cleaned fully and had no bedding, rang down but phones weren’t answered. Went downstairs and spoke to staff, they were very apologetic and very polite, moved our room very quickly all sorted fast 😊

Good location for the Harry Potter studios. Very clean. Friendly staff. Good service. Chain restaurant right next door.

We booked a family connecting room via booking.com but this type of room does not exist at this location.room was cold. No heating on. As we were out all day and returned late not to much of an issue. Had we stayed longer than 1 night would probably have been sorted.

The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. There was a good choice of options. The room was clean and I had a really good nights sleep as the mattress was good. The staff really helpful and friendly. The price is excellent and offers much better value than even Travel lodge or Premier Inn

The pillows were a little flat but putting them together made for a good nights sleep. This is a tiny thing and really just personal preference so others may not agree

Bedding was good quality & pillows were that comfortable I looked to see who made them. I have no complaints with the room. Bathroom door needs replacement as sometime in the past it had water damage at the bottom but this did not detract from our stay. Staff very helpful & polite.

Breakfast could have been hotter, I do like my food hot.

Nice inside and out, very easy to find way around.

The constant knocking from cleaning staff from 9am even tho check out isn’t until 12 midday. One cleaner even let her self in when me and my partner was in bed. All in all we had 3/4 knock on before 11am made it a little uncomfortable.

Very nice room. Lots of extra features i dont usally experience like flannels big condiment selection canned water and an alarm clock. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment but free juice at reception was nice touch.

Bit noisy out back early morning had to shut windows. That alarm clock...check to make sure alarm turned off. Booking in, three counters only one staff so delay was unfortunate

Two standout things about this hotel for me are the fabulous breakfast (probably the best I have ever had in a hotel) and the comfort of the beds!! Two full supportive pillows and a duvet, added to the comfiest mattress made for a very good nights sleep. Staff were lovely and very accommodating on both reception and in the bar/restaurant.

This felt like a very relaxed stay. The room was large, the bed comfortable and the bathroom well-appointed. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel had a spacious, unhurried feeling. The breakfast buffet was large and more varied than almost anywhere else I've stayed at this price in the UK (and extraordinarily good value!)

Prices in the bar were a bit steep - £25 for a double g&t and a single g&t was fairly eye-watering. It wasn't easy to find information about the facilities - there was a QR code on one bedside table with a link to information, but I couldn't find out, for example, how to set the air-conditioning, which was set rather high when we arrived
