It was so clean and well run , the two staff members were brilliant even though I messed the booking up and helped us sort it . I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again , we thought it was a brand new build but staff said it’s 4 years old . I think this is the nicest place I’ve stayed for a very long time and not what I was expecting at all . Do yourself a favour and visit

Hard for us to find , sat nav didn’t recognise the postcode . Also when we found it the signs didn’t really tell us where to go . But all of that is minor problem we just looked to the harbour and big blue building

The eco building constructed around 3 years ago was of exceptional quality. The rooms very spacious and ours overlooked the marina. The location was great with a short walk to the many cafes and bars in the town. We liked the Co-living principle sharing a huge communal lounge and an excellent and immaculate shared kitchen which was well equipped for preparing and cooking meals. It also was an opportunity to meet and chat to other guests, many of whom were walkers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay there again if in the area.

The location of the property was In the middle of amble. The lodges are so clean and comfortable and spacious rooms. The shared kitchen and sitting area was lovely and clean. It’s a Help yourself breakfast and everything was provided ie, bread, Milk, Butter, jams, all different branded cereals. Robinson juices. The utensils and crockery were spotless and very well organised. Staff were helpful and friendly and made check in easy.

The staff were lovely. We were met by a lovely lady who really engaged with the kids and showed off all the amenities in a great way that enthused the kids about staying. The common area is really nice and inviting. When the lights are low, the little lamps make it feel very comfy which is great for late night games and reading. The kitchen is very clean and well set out. Lots of space for multiple families to cook simultaneously. Free tea, coffee and milk was really nice and the cereal choices at breakfast was brilliant.

There's not a lot not to like. It's got nice views over the marina, and it's warm and friendly. I guess the only thing I'd change might be to lower the prices a smidge. The room is perfect for a small family, but it's Spartan (as you'd expect!). I'd say it would be great value at about £110. At £130 it is approaching the cost of full hotels with 24hr staff and more amenities at this time of year. But it's not really a gripe, just me looking for a good deal. It's a lovely place to lay your head while you're exploring the northeast.

The place is absolutely beautiful and location is perfect! The room was fine for us as a family of 5 and the kids loved the bunk beds option! We were able to check in a little bit early too which was great with having 3 kids. The communal lounge kitchen area is fantastic too! Lots of appliances and fridge space and even a vending machine. Loads of little areas to sit in the lounge and board games for families having nights in!

The ONLY downside of our stay was the communal lounge had a great big flat screen TV that we were not allowed to use, this seems very unfair especially as we were the only people using the lounge area that night, was the 1st England game of the Euros so would have been good to watch on the big screen with the family! So that was disappointing.

Everything very clean. The shared kitchen and lounge area especially the kitchen was spotless and has everything you need to cook. The garage to store bikes was fantastic. All comms I received before and during my stay from the Radcliffe’s Lodge team was great and cannot fault them

I was in the shared room with 4 bunk beds, other than the mattress could be a bit more soft for me I didn’t dislike anything with this property.

Everything was perfect. Clean, comfortable, exceptional location, very good value. Amazing, brilliant place to stay. Large, welcoming communal area. Amazing kitchen facilties with everything you could ever need. Bread, cereal, milk, tea and coffee for everyone to use. Just a brilliant experience. Lovely, welcoming staff. Everything was spotlessly clean. Could not fault one single thing

What a fantastic time my two dogs and I had here! We were greeted by the very helpful and friendly Tony who showed us round our room and the communal areas. He was very helpful and kicked our stay off to a wonderful start. It was just a one night stop over before an event in the area the next day but it felt like a mini holiday. The hostel is the most well equipped, clean and modern hostel I've ever stayed in! Everything you could possibly need during your stay, especially the kitchen facilities - free tea, coffee and cooking essentials were so helpful. Easy, free parking right outside the front door too. It was spacious and comfortable, truly dog friendly and the rooms were immaculate. Will definitely be back again when I'm next in the area.

Very clean, stylish but still very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was spotless and very well equipped. The living space was spacious with great views of the estuary. The bedroom we had was for 4 with two bunk beds which were comfortable, there was plenty storage and a stylish en-suite shower room. The secure garage was perfect for our bikes overnight.

Check in was easy, we stayed in a 6bed room and were given 3keys which was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with 2x showers which is very useful with this many people. The beds have individual reading lights and power stations which is very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful, there is parking right at the door and a nice cafe next door. There is a very well equipped kitchen and a spacious lounge area.

The mattresses are hard as rock.
