Lovely, helpful staff, welcomed us in and spent the time to explain the hotel/amenities. The location is excellent. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The location of the swimming pool. In the hotel information, before booking, it seemed the swimming pool was in the hotel. We took our swimming togs but were disappointed to find the pool is quite a substantial walk from the hotel. It s a local pool ( not a problem) and not a dedicated hotel pool. If we had realised this, we wouldn't have booked this hotel, but that would have been a mistake since the positives of staying in this hotel outweighed the one negative of not having a pool. However, for those prepared to walk, there is a discount for hotel guests.

The location was extremely convenient, and the rooms had a beautiful view. They were also spacious, just as I had hoped.

The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, as I noticed some hair in the shower and the toilets were not entirely spotless. That said, the cleaners came in the next day and ensured everything was clean and tidy. Although I was able to leave my bags for an additional £3, I had hoped to stay in the room a bit longer to rest and freshen up before my travels. However, extending the room until 4 PM was not permitted—not even until 2 PM. While they offered a day-use option, it would have been more convenient if they had simply allowed me to extend my stay for a couple of extra hours.

Friendly staff and good location for the train station and a short walk to the sea front. Was able to leave bags before checking in and also discounted parking from a nearby car park which was helpful. Room was good, only 2 teabags for 2 people for 1 night and would have been nice to have a couple more and also wooden spoons for making tea aren’t the best. Shower and bathroom was good, soap dispenser wasn’t working but used the shower one, really comfy bed and pillows. Slight noise from outside which can’t be helped but the curtains and windows didn’t shut a lot out and curtains were a little thin. We did try and eat there on the evening later on and although the kitchen said open until 10pm they were cleaning the oven at 9.40. Whilst I appreciate they may not often have people wanting it this late we were there for football and the hotel was very busy that night. Overall a good stay and would visit again!

I stayed for 2 nights for an event so didn’t spend a crazy amount of time in my room but staff were wonderful and very helpful! The room was good value for money, a nice comfy bed and plenty of space for one person, not sure how it would be for two. The proximity to the train station and the rest of town is very useful! Overall a pleasant experience and I’d definitely stay again when returning to Brighton!

I couldn’t seem to find an extractor fan in the bathroom which wasn’t great but luckily didn’t cause much of a problem. It would also help to maybe have some drawers instead of just cubbies but it wasn’t a huge deal. The sounds of traffic and nightlife are pretty loud at night but that’s to be expected when you’re staying at a hotel on a high street, I just popped in some ear plugs and couldn’t hear a thing :)

Location was very good. Accessibility to the town centre and the seaside was extremely convenient. Buses stop right in front of the hotel. Also located beside the Brighton train station and beside the taxi stand of the train station. Convenience store and restaurants nearby. Even the health centre providing free medical service was just beside the Hotel. It was very cold and was convenient just to pop into clinic to seek some medical advice. Breakfast was worth the money. Lots of food and drinks and fruits. They even fry egg for you on request. Hot drinks was always available. Staff always very pleasant. Check out was simple and no fuss. Great. We used it to go across the City shopping and eating at local restaurants, There was Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and local burger shops........

The bathroom water pressure was weak but sufficient I guess. The drainage was slow and sometimes overflow the bath and toilet floor areas.

Staff friendly. Breakfast good and varied. Location, very near to main line station and right near 'The Lanes'. Also a bar at the hotel.

When checking in i think it would be really useful to say to guests when they use the lift to return to Reception or the Ground Floor that it is showing up in the lift as Level 3. I was confused, having gone into the hotel on the ground floor and the Reception area but to return to it was Level 3. Admittedly it did state clearly in the lift that this is the case, but 'one' doesn't always read everything and i was expecting it to say G for Ground.

The reception and all staff so friendly including housekeeping. Because I live quite near I wanted to check out the rooms before I booked and the reception staff member was really helpful taking time to show me several rooms. I did try and request a room at the back as was concerned about road noise from the front as I'm sensitive to this. I ended up with a room at the front but the standard of sound proofing is very high and I slept well. The hotel overall seems lovely and quiet I also feel the cold so very pleased that the climate control system in the room worked really well. Lovely hot powered shower. Bed really comfy staff pleased to provide extra coffee and tea sachets. Pleased that i could have left bags prior to check in but my room was ready around 2pm anyway location was fantastic! In Brighton for a wedding. Especially arriving by train.

only small thing more tea bags in room to start please! also i know they are probably impractical but a net curtain at the window would have meant i wouldn't have had to pull the black out panel across the window to get privacy in the day. the window looks right into opposite flats. also one black out panel very creased which didn't look very nice. also an observation the electronic system for the staff appeared to not be good at times which must be a frustration for them especially at busy times but they showed a lot of patience

Breakfast is very good, I love the coffee machine in the breakfast area. Plenty of choice, everthing fresh.

I did not like being asked to to give my email address, so that I could check-in before 3pm, when the hotel would already have all my details. So I sat in reception until 3pm, which was only a relatively short time, also I was frazzled by that time having gone from Liverpool and via Manchester (due to rail problems) to Brighton. There were two other lots of people also sitting waiting until the dot of 3 to check-in.

Location is great and people were amazing.

The room was very very dusty and the kettle hadn't been wiped down at all. Empty complimentary shower gel. On 3rd day when I used the housekeeping service no toilet paper was replaced/ replenished even though there was none. The kettle was left dusty and the tray containing the kettle and supplies had been moved over to cover an area on the desk that needed a wipe down from take out food. On the bright side, the bathroom in the lobby had paper towels that I used to wipe and tidy the desk and dust. And it also had spare rolls of toilet paper that I brought to my room.

Quiet ,clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed . Great view over Brighton from the ninth floor .We have stayed in Brighton hotels before and in comparison our room was quite spacious .Check in was easy and we could drop off our bags .We also left our bags for a further day after check out which was helpful . We also took advantage of a the bar having a night cap with a friend before heading of to bed. We would happily come again

Only a couple of minor issues with the room. Wooden flooring slide apart to reveal gap. My partner worked out how to slide it back. A splash of something on the wall by the bed. Shower room had a few little bumps and chips . Really nothing that ruined our stay,
