I had a fantastic experience from the moment I arrived, thanks to the warm and welcoming staff. The hotel is conveniently located with ample parking, making it easy to access without any hassle. On-site, there's a pub where you can enjoy food and drinks, and if you're in the mood for variety, there are plenty of shops and takeaways nearby to explore. The room was well-equipped for an overnight stay, providing everything I needed for a comfortable visit. One of the highlights was the lovely, powerful hot shower—perfect for unwinding after a long day. Additionally, the hotel offers easy access to the A1, making it an ideal choice for travelers heading north or south. Dog friendly too, and vey welcoming for our pets. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and enjoyable stopover.

Everything was fine, nothing not to like here

The hotel was easy to find and next to a pub but we did not go in as arrived to late. Communication with hotel was excellent. Staff were great. No lift and there are 3 floors, our room was on the top floor. The room was a bit dated but clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean but took a while for water to come to the taps. If you just need somewhere to put your head for the night OK hotel the price was excellent

The location was perfect,the staff where very helpful and friendly and even helped with getting the bags to the first floor, the room was cleaned and the bin emptied every day, the bed was very comfortable and both of us had a good night's rest

Clean, great choice of TV channels, comfortable.

No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom although I understand they may have been available from reception. No hairdryer but again I believe o r may have been available from reception. I usually have my own with me but on this occasion I forgot. It’s a minor issue & didn’t spoil my stay. Also no breakfast facilities but the staff directed me to a Morrison 5 mins away so all was good.

We have heen staying at Harrowgate Hill Lodge for more years than I can remember. It is conveniently located, with good parking, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Recently added are some well equipped self catering apartments, that offer excellent value for money.

Unfortunately, the lift has not been in operation for some years, so we have to request a ground floor room. The sizzling pub next door used to be a bonus, but is no longer open for breakfasts and also stops serving evening meals rather early. However, there is a Spar shop which offers an excellent breakfast attached to the Jet fuel station on the A1/A167 junction. There is also a 24 hour Macdonalds in the same area.

All went well check in easy had assistance with baggage, given all details about location and local shops etc all good. Room clean and tidy, bed comfy we both slept well. Snacks available as needed at reasonable prices not rip off. Friendly staff to me and my four legged companion.

Shame the restaurant (next door) didn’t push for the same, treat all customers as your last and make sure you retain them, having a pet should not cause a lost booking when segregation of pet friendly area could be offered so as not to offend other, they didn’t discriminate against children who cause more trouble. The restaurant was at most half full or finished for the day. Maybe work together and reinvigorate.

We were there at Harrowgate Hill lodge for a week and our experience was exceptional . The staff was really helpful and special thank should goes to Ms Sharon and Mr Poul for their kindness and going an extra mile to help us. We were with a 2 year old kid and everyone were so supportive . Even the other guests were also so cocooperative. There was a fridge and microwave too. We loved our stay and highly recommend Harrowgate Hill Lodge to others.

We were given an upgrade and stayed in their New apartment 4a it was brand new and we were the first to stay there, The place was spotless as you would expect for a first tenant, fully equipped kitchen for self catering ,new shower room a living room and very comfortable bed in the bedroom

Only little teething problems like shower room door didn't close properly and no shower gel / shampoo provided or tea/coffee for a morning brew (which i DEFINITELY missed ,) just a couple of things that we expected and that are are usually provided in rooms where we've stayed before.

Near shops pub next door good food hotel had variety drinks crisps chocolate in fridge staff friendly bathroom in room been updated nice

Lift still not working

It was a nice clean and tidy place . I will recommend to all other tourists or professional to have this all things their were perfectly working.

Their was no fridge and microwave in the room thats what i think was bad side.
