The location was perfect for us. Not only could we walk to places we wanted to see but it was also right on the hop on hop off bus line. We also loved the breakfasts and the many options. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable bed that folded away in the wall to give great lounge space during the day. Brilliant location. Good kitchen.

Small window, small opening for fresh air. Subdued lighting so the room seemed a bit dark. Ventilation noisy when it cut in.

The room and layout were very good It was quiet, a priority for us! The staff were wonderful! All of them never tired of answering our many questions and were extremely helpful!

The room temperature was always too warm for us. We were not 'allowed' to put the AC below 20 degrees nor open the window more than 3 inches. My husband is usually cold, yet even he was too warm, especially for sleeping. The weather was warmer than usual, but it was frustrating to not be able to adjust the thermostat. The window I realise is a safety feature. Two small issues....the frying pan is badly scratched and should be replaced, and a dish rack would be useful for hand washing dishes.

Our room was generous in size with good storage and a useful kitchenette. We appreciated the coin operated laundry available for guests to use and the drying towel rack in our room provided speedy drying. A water dispenser in the lobby was also a nice touch meaning we could fill our travel bottles each morning with cold or even sparkling water. The location of the complex was excellent, close to many attractions and a 5 min walk to Waverley train station.

Our bed was very hard, the pillows even harder…this comes down to an individual’s preference. A choice of pillows would have been nice.

The location was ideal for what we had planned. Our friends had not been to this part of the city before so we chose the hotel for this reason as well as the many positive reviews it had received. The room was fantastic and so well equipped if you were self catering which we were not, however, we were still impressed with the kitchen facilities. The room itself was spacious and the bed very comfortable. No noise at all which contributed to a great sleep. We did go for breakfast on our 2nd morning and arrived at 9.30am but as the breakfast stopped serving at 10.00, so we decided to eat out.

If breakfast could have stopped around 10.30, that would have been ideal for us. We arrived at 9.30 and did not want to rush for the 10.00am close.

Reception staff were always welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to welcome guests. Location was magic, very short walk to Parliament and Hollywood Palace and a pleasant walk up Carlton Hill for incredible views. Hotel is at the bottom of the Road Mile and to get to the castle (other end of Royal Mile) was about 10 minutes. Highly recommend queen/studio rooms as they are bigger and have better views and are well worth the extra if you can afford them. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay!

Property seemed a little dated but work is underway to match the decor with the service and noise didn't bother me at all. On first impressions, common area carpets to rooms were a little stained (to be understood in winter) which can affect first impressions but the rooms were spotless. I would absolutely recommend the property and will be back. Small note that laundry machines take around 30 mins each and dryer isn't always the best so allow a little time if you have a reasonable load. I found the bathroom heated towel rack was great to finish them off. You'll need £1 coins which reception can give you and your own detergent/softener. Rooms are only serviced for stays over 8 days but towels/cleaning can be arranged for a small fee.

Room was a decent size, the comfy chair was actually comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything I needed. Towels were large enough to go all the way round me and they were functional. The hot water in the sinks and shower arrived quickly. The bed was a proper decent size. Location. Close enough to walk to everywhere I wanted to go.

Couldn't get radio channels on the TV. The bed was a bit firm for me, but it was OK. Not a fan of having the bed lift up into the wall, despite the extra space it gave. The sofa wasn't that comfortable so I didn't bother with it after the first evening. It was a bit of a battle to get into and out of the bath (despite hanging onto the towel rail), a step or something would be helpful. Lightning was OK as long as all of them were on, not so much otherwise.

The location is excellent - right on the Royal Mile in Old Town with easy walking distance to the main tourist areas of the city. I was also there for the beginning of Fringe and all of the venues for Fringe were easily walkable, with some being less than a block away. It's maybe a 10-15 minute walk with rolling luggage from the Airport Tram stop at St. Andrews Square. There's a Tesco Express about a block and a half away that has snacks or groceries if you want to use the kitchenette.

Great apartment, everything is slightly marked and worn but very comfortable and a well equipped kitchen for short stays. It was mostly clean bit did find some rubbish when we opened the sofa bed however the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well provided with washing up liquid and clothes, although only one tea towel so you would need more if staying longer than couple of days. However the staff were very friendly and helpful and were to,d just to ask if we needed any extra towels etc. Great location for the Old Town and a short walk down to Princes street and Waverley station. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops within close walking distance. I would definitely use these apartments if coming to Edinburgh again.

Super comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Well equipped little kitchenette is great for those who want to have a bit in the comfort of their room, and was perfect for us as I wanted to go out for breakfast but my partner can’t start his day on an empty stomach. Can’t speak to the breakfast as we opted out of that - Edinburgh Larder is right around the corner so please do check that out on one of your mornings in town. The location is amazing, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the centre but still super calm. Also, we had a lovely view of Arthur’s Seat in the hallway right outside our room, and the hotel even provides a little bench in that area so you can enjoy the view. Details like that make this a great stay.

The only little remark I have is the fact that the wifi does not work, which is a bit baffling in 2025.
