The Manager tried to offer me a Starbucks, but I was too embarrassed to accept. Upon my arrival, I was given a warm and friendly welcome by Rachael, one of the receptionists.

I am a 65-year-old woman who attended a conference. The conference starts a bit early, and I went for breakfast. Unfortunately, I went early to have breakfast. I requested something to eat, even if it was just a bread roll from the person in charge of the restaurant. He refused and walked me out like a dog. That is an experience I can never forget.

Great location for Gigs and concerts at SECC & OVO Hydro as only a few minutes walk away. The room was clean & the bed was a decent size and very comfortable. The aircon worked a treat & was very quiet. We were in a Club Room on the 3rd floor and it was nice & quiet. Staff super helpful and the meal we had in the restaurant was lovely.

A few wee things, but not show stoppers.... No Fridge. Only one plug point on one side of the beside tables, so not so handy when we both wanted to charge both mobile phones. No hand held shower head in the shower. No tissues or sanitary bag dispenser in the bathroom. The bathroom was very dark even with the lights on.

Loved the location , just a short walk to SECC and about 15 min walk to the busy finieston area for great food. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The spa was also great. Sauna and steam room are properly heated and the pool is a nice temperature. We got the club room which included parking, spa and breakfast. The parking is free at the weekends. The views were also gorgeous

It could do with an update in some areas. The wall sockets were far from the bedside tables, it only had a hdmi one but not all chargers come with one. Also the products in the bathroom were mostly espa which are great, however the room was missing the conditioner and body cream. Also you couldn't take them to the spa to use them there which meant I had to shower and wash my hair all over again in the room. The products in the spa were just basic 2-1 shampoo/ shower gel kind. The breakfast was ok, not lots of selection, it was just a basic buffet and there was no option to add anything else ( poached eggs instead of scrambled) For over 200 pounds a night they could do with that bit of more attention to detail. Otherwise a great experience.

Nice clean and quiet bedroom, hot shower and general vibe was nice. Helpful staff on front desk. Good facilities, would have liked to have tried the gym. Overall very modern and imaginative decor. Liked it a lot.

The breakfast was as best mediocre, poor quality food, unfilled dishes and instant scrambled egg , rubbery and greasy haggis , all rather poor. Lack of other choice except syrupy fuit and yoghurt. and uninspired cereal, toast etc. I was attending a conference . The mid morning coffee ran out before getting any, no refill , no biscuits. Very dry lunch which was commented on by all and generally very lacklustre catering.

Brilliant value, staff were superb and rooms were comfy and no issues with noise. Location to OVO hydro was the main reason for our stay and will be back when we return to the hydro. Breakfast was good value (£10 when we booked the night before)via the qr code in the room menu. We arrived and were told the restaurant didn't have availability for a meal until half 6 although once we went down to the bar for a drink we discovered that there was a bar menu so we managed to get food from that. We had the BBQ bucket platter XL and pepperoni flatbread, both were great as we shared with our group of 4 and was more than enough to go round. we had a hotel full of MMA fighters so breakfast items were limited due to the amount they were eating 😂 although this isn't the hotels fault. Overall I had a really good stay and the staff were amazing. We needed to change from a double room to a twin although this wasn't possible they managed to put 2 double beds into one of the rooms so we were delighted with this. I didn't catch her name but the woman on the desk Friday around 4pm when we checked in and also Saturday about 1045 when we left couldn't have done any more for us. Well done team.

Breakfast items took time to be replenished although probably due to the amount people were having so can't really fault the hotel.

The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The facilities are excellent too, we were a family group and had specifically booked for the swimming pool. The Science Centre is just across the road and there was plenty on at the hotel for us to feel like we would stay again.

Only one really, I have coeliacs disease and there didn’t seem to be many options for me in the breakfast buffet. Some fruit and yogurt as well as gluten free cornflakes. I didn’t ask staff as they were busy but some signs out on the hot food items would have been extremely helpful. A separate toaster for gluten free bread would be ideal too but like said I didn’t approach staff to enquire about anything other than what I could see clearly as GF.

The location is spot on for going to anything at the Ovo! Literally a wee toddle over the water and you're there! Bus stop right outside that take you into the city or can taxi it super easily. Parking was great and huge car park so no drama in arriving! The vibe of the place is great. We were going to see Slipknot and lots of other metal heads but mixed with football supporters and Christmas shoppers. Was so friendly and chill! The facilities were great, the pool especially! We stayed in the Club room and absolutely kicked the arse out of the use of the pool, sauna and steam room. All the staff were lovely and the night security/ porters were absolute banter!

The rooms were sooooo hot. Even with the heating down as low as we could go and window open. The noise was unbelievable from down stairs. What we didn't know is that the hotel has a "bring a party" events on and the place was wild over the time we stayed. We're all for a party but a cheeky heads up would have been nice. The walls of the room are like paper but that's to be expected. Through the wall to us had a very lovely stay 🤣 The restaurant is pretty dear for what it is, as is the bar but we're probably used to old manny pubs where we are!

I first off wanted to highlight the lovely Leanne who made me feel very welcome on arriving. She took interest into my staying at the hotel and we also had a nice general chat at the desk. On arrival the hotel smelt very clean and my room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything I needed in both the bedroom and bathroom areas. I want to highlight Blanch in the pub/restaurant who delivered exceptional service and checked in on me a few times during my lunch yesterday. Overall, my stay was great, as it was the year before.

Nothing that I can think of.

We've stayed in Village Hotels over many years mainly in Manchester area and loved them do when we had the chance to stay in Glasgow it was a no-brainer. We were huge impressed from the minute we came in, from decor and Reception to the rooms and leisure facilities. However the slight downside was the Buffet breakfast we tad to look for someone at the desk and we found the layout of the food a bit haphazard and unfortunate the food itself although good quality and plenty of it, was a bit on the cold side. Overall however this would in no way prevent us from returning 👍

As above the breakfast was the only letdown- the dining room was not busy so could have perhaps expected a little more...

1st time staying at Villiage as we were going to a show in the Armedillo, and it was perfect! Super busy place , we had booked a Double room but upon check in we were kindly given an upgrade to a room with 2 beds and free access to the leisure facilities. Room was large and very very comfortable, beds comfy, room was nice and warm on arrival, huge tv on the wall and lovely bathroom. We had some drinks in the bar before going out, again busy but lovely atmosphere. We did not get a chance to go for a swim but we can't wait too return and spend more time in the hotel. There is also a starbucks across from reception. See you again soon 😊
