We didn’t have breakfast but the rooms the food were great staff on morning were great very helpful young man on bar in afternoon really good

When we arrived our room wasn’t ready which was fine as we had been told that young lady was very helpful telling us when we come back case would be in room and after 11pm you can get in another way we thought we wouldn’t be out later than that unfortunately we arrived just on 11pm but because the lady who gave us the key in the afternoon had not told us that emergency contact and code for night entrance were on the key ring I had just put key in bag when she gave me it not thinking to look eventually we found entrance and after short while found instructions on key ring it was the only thing I could fault maybe I should have checked key but if your not told and don’t expect to be back late there was no need

Restaurant food was delicious. Well presented and reasonably priced. Attentive staff. Room was spacious and clean. Plenty of good lighting. Bathroom was quite large and shower worked well with plenty of hot water. It was a bit unfortunate there were 4 steps up to the bathroom, especially at night. Despite being above the bar and restaurant there was no concern regarding noise.

We would have liked a second chair in the room. There was only one chair which meant one person had to sit on the bed. There was ample space in the room to accommodate another chair.

Exceptional place very clean and perfect for everything you need in Hoylake, Royal Liverpool golf course and only 15 minutes to Wallasey. The staff were fantastic and extremely accommodating to make the stay a pleasure, as we had an early tee time Karina arranged for an early breakfast. The food and menu were also excellent and all at a good price. A great place to stay with lovely staff I would definitely recommend and if visiting the area again The Green Lodge would be top of the list.

Shame the Holiday Inn Express opposite was closed and occupied at taxpayers expense…

Green Lodge is in convenient position- 5 minute walk to railway station(approx.25 mins.across to city of Liverpool). Hoylake beach is also 5 min.stroll from hotel. I didn’t have breakfast, but liked how small area in pub was set aside for it. Enjoyed two evening meals though- good menu choice. Huge thumbs up to Simon and Jim…made a single female traveller feel most welcome…excellent Marston Inn staff.

Bedroom was great size and very comfortable bed. Ample hanging space. There was secondary glazing & these upvc windows I could close, but not the outside “original windows” which made the room a little cooler than I’d prefer.

Above all, attentive & helpful staff throughout stay. I'm nearly 90 & a couple of the young staff, withour prompting, seized my case & conducted me upstairs at a suitable pace! Manager (I think) very chatty & friendly. Room was comfortable, clean, spacious. Food good.

Only a very minor point. Good cooked breakfast, but no cereal - and we would probably have been OK with a continental breakfast, but this didn;t seem to be an option.

The Green Lodge, Hoylake is ideally situated with access to coastal walks and the Royal Liverpool Golf Course. It is part of the Marston Inns pub chain serving excellent food and a good selection of beers and ales as well as a range of non-alcoholic drinks. There are six comfortable bedrooms with ensuite facilities and a good choice of breakfasts is served in the dining area. Staff were hospitable and friendly making our three-night stay a pleasant and relaxed experience.

The atmosphere was good. The room was lovely. Great bathroom and shower. Comfortable throughout. The prices at the bar and in the restaurant were very reasonable. Karina and her staff went above and beyond to make us welcome. We will go back!

There was nothing about the property that didn’t meet our expectations. Lovely place!

Check-in was easy and flexible, as was check-out. My room was spacious and different from the ‘standard’ hotel layout, a little more character. I woke early and enjoyed a walk down to the prom at 05:00, and the 24h access to the rear was useful for this, didn’t feel like I was bothering anyone. I spent my teens and early 20s in Hoylake and Meols, a lovely part of the world, nice to return to. I didn’t have time for breakfast but appreciated that it was available at a good price if needed.

Good location, outdoor garden (eating/drinking space), convenient car parking etc. We appreciated an electric fan in the room.

Room 3 is small & the right gand curtains was hanging off its rail. The step down into the shower room is not ideal. The loo paper is so thin, that we felt we used 3 times the amount, which might prove to be a false economy!!

Good location and parking free. Staff were so helpful and always a smile when helping

Bed was a bit hard, had to have a duvet put on it to make it more comfortable.
