I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the location was ideal 100 yards from the venue I was attending. My room was spacious enough for me and afforded me a.lovely view across the Mersey. I only had breakfast in the hotel, and the choice and standard of food was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I loved my stay here.

The only thing I would say is this......and it is not a criticism of this hotel exactly, or the few others where exactly the same thing has happened to meat other hotels offering buffet breakfasts.......I was travelling alone, which I do frequently, and part way through my breakfast, I got up to go and make some toast. On returning to my table, it had been cleared of my remaining cup of tea and my empty plates, but fortunately nobody had yet been seated there, but that could have happened. I'd like to suggest that guests are issued with a card, with the same idea as the ones used on room doors, which says "Still eating" on one side, and "Finished thanks" on the other, which can be left visible on the table so that staff are aware what their guests are doing.

The convenient location, right on the Albert dock, the beautifully restored old building. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and professional. The room had everything we needed for our overnight stays. The breakfast catered for both of us as I’m gluten free and I was able to eat from the continental and hot food choices.

Nothing, definitely will be back.

we chose the location due to it's proximity to the conference we were attending. The choices at breakfast were fantastic and permitted for all tastes. My room was clean and comfortable. I have stayed at other 4/5* hotel chains and I can honestly say their cleanliness was no way near the standard that was provided here. I would like to give a few special mentions: 1. the housekeeping staff who obliged my coffee habit by leaving additional coffee in my room. 2. Dom from the maintenance team who promptly resolved an issue with the hot water in my room. 3. Tasha - reception. As always she was amazing.

The external doors could do with looking at. I had to assist a lady on a mobility scooter on a couple of occasions as she couldn't open the doors to enter/exit the building. perhaps investing in an automatic opening system would be a good investment as it would be more inclusive for all guests.

The hotel is in an amazing location. We had a twin room on the 4th floor with a lovely view of the river. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and not too crowded. It was lovely to be able to leave the car and walk around the Albert Dock and up to the city centre and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

The car park outside the hotel does not belong to the hotel and is very expensive (although very convenient). There is a discount at another car park which is a few minutes walk away.

Everything there was no reason to find any fault at all.... room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fabulous and set us up for the day.... and as for the staff, well they could not have been more welcoming, kind, courteous and so pleasant to talk too. Nothing was too much trouble to them and despite their busy work schedule they took the time to stop and speak to their guests, which is an absolute raretity (as i spend a lot of time in hotels) You really have the perfect staff here at Albert Docks look after them and they will look after you and the business.

Tasha at the front desk was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My room was incredible - I felt like royalty waking up with such views in an exceptionally comfortable bed, everything was so clean, the water pressure in the shower was good. The food was lush - I had dinner in the hotel once and the free breakfast twice, was very happy with both. The location was perfect both in terms of convenience and the scenery. It was not noisy. My checkout was great as well, the staff at the reception was so helpful and went above and beyond.

The duvet was warm for me as I run hot when I sleep, but that's a very minor issue relative to how great everything else was!

Elliot, who checked me both in and out, was absolutely brilliant. He was really informative, friendly, and welcoming. All the staff were really welcoming and I really enjoyed my stay. I could praise the staff all day, they were fantastic and engaged. Also the breakfast, I only found the pancake machine on the second day, but all the food was good.

The only criticism I had is that there were no plug sockets by the bed, they were on the opposite side of the room. I know it's an old building, but if Holiday Inn can put power outlets on one side of the room, why can't they put them on both?

I loved the room, it was stunning, spacious, and quiet. All the extras were in the room (iron, hairdryer etc). Plenty of toiletries. Loved the late check out. Continental breakfast was great, but wasn't my first choice

Breakfast was very disorganised - I was asked to book a time (9am), and upon arrival, there were only scrambled eggs & hash browns available. Bacon arrived at 9:20 (very undercooked) and sausages, beans, & tomatoes 5-10 mins later. The girl cleaning the area in front of the hot food simply wiped/swept the spilled eggs onto the floor, which was then walked on by other customers. It didn't spoil the stay, however, if you are asking us to have a time, then all the components need to be available for a hot breakfast.

The room was really nice - I've stayed in other Holiday Inns where the bathroom was just too small, but this was comfortable. I loved the design of the room too and it was nice to have a little view of the Mersey and Wirral (although the window was a little grubby!). The breakfast was amazing and good quality - set me up for both days I was staying. The staff were so accommodating and polite. Will choose to stay here in the future!

There wasn't really anything I didn't like - it's a shame the window was a little grubby so I couldn't see great through it, and I would've liked a tissue box by the bed, but otherwise I had a lovely stay. I was out for most of the day, so only used the room for sleeping.
