I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is tired, the room had seen better days but it was clean. All the basics were there, including tea, coffee, shampoo and shower gel. The fridge was nice and cold. The reception staff was friendly and always had a smile. They were really helpful late at night to get us some extra pillows and duvet (we just needed extra), which was really appreciated. Our room was towards the back, so it was nice and quiet. We didn't hear other guests although we had seen many down at reception. Surprisingly, the lift worked although we were informed before the stay that the lift was out of order. Guess they managed to fix it.

The corridors and room were pretty tired. There were a couple of broken lights, which didn't bother us but needed attention. Similarly, part of the shower appliance was damaged as well as some sort of cover under the window. With some extra love this could be a pretty good hotel.

Great location, very close to the Paddington Tube & Train station, several restaurants and mini markets nearby. It´s a very simple hotel, the building is quite old and the halls have weird shapes, but it feels like Britain. No luxury, you get what you paid for. Quiet, decent bathroom, comfortable beds, but barely room for luggage. Still, cheap for London standards and the location is great. Fan and a TV in room with several options. Nothing to complain really.

The shower door is quite tricky. I still don´t know how to open it from inside. I´m 1,80m, so I could reach the outside from above and push to open it. To be honest after 3 days I still don´t know how to open it from inside...

The hotel is in a great location, close to Hyde Park. Only a 2 minute walk from Paddington station. It is clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The shower in our room was amazing. Excellent value for money, I couldn’t have asked for more for the price. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Plus lots of little shops and convenience stores close to the hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we plan another trip to London.

The mattress was a little hard for my liking, but my daughter preferred it to her own at home. That is just a personal preference and in no way negative of the hotel.

Basically the hotel was excellent value for money. The carpet is a bit tired, the floor in the bathroom slightly damaged - but the mattresses were brand new and super comfortable, the pillows the best I have had in a long time (and OK, just one pillow per bed - but they were good, not too high, so one was comfortable), the heating functioned (I actually stopped it), the shower was very good and there was hot water on tap, the room was quiet, the decor decent, and there was even an electric kettle with complimentary coffee and biscuit, and an hair-dryer. All slightly tired and slightly shabby (apart from the mattresses bed linen and towels) but spotlessly clean. Oh, and the internet worked! (I did not try the TV)

I was very happy with my stay.

The room and facilities were superb for the location of the hotel. Very close to Paddington Station, lots of small shops and lovely restaurants at sensible prices. The open air tour buses go very close to the location. It felt a very safe area. Very peaceful location.

The front of the hotel was covered with scaffolding and white tarpaulin due to repairs/painting being carried out. We had a room at the back so our windows were open for fresh air. We should have booked all four nights in London at this hotel.

It’s about 10 meters from one of the entrances of Paddington Station, from where you can reach all London easilly. And we appreciated a lot the treatment we received from the staff, particulary a guy called Paul. One of the coolest guys that have ever received me. The same says my mother. Thanks, Paul! Great price for what it offers.

Off course that the rooms are small and stuff, but it worth it! You may find it Simple, and there is no breakfest. You may experience some noise coming from the station. None of those issues,however, got even close to bother me.

The decorations are SO beautiful and chic and feels very Paris! The bedrooms are adorable and we felt like royalty getting ready every morning and coming back to have a glass of wine. The location was perfect to get to trains and buses. The neighborhood is so quaint and nice people, right outside of the apartment is a bakery with delicious pastries and coffee. Down the street is the BEST gelato we have ever had! The man said people tell them that all the time. They make it fresh there. It’s great to be near the Seine river and all of the restaurants and quaint bars and cafes and 8 minutes to Notre Dame area and all of the restaurants, Shakespeare book store and endless tiny streets of cafes, stores, restaurants. The perfect place for Paris!

Great location, clean room, comfy bed. Lovely shower room, coffee tea facilities. For the price on a Sat night in London amazing really, 3 mins from station. Warm, hot water. Very pleased.

I’d read a few poor reviews but I think some are just fussy, yes the hotel is older, it’s 3 stars not 5….so…the stairs and corridors are a bit confusing but I liked the quirky aspects. Staff were ok. I think if you’re a large person, poor mobility might be hard as shower room is compact and stairs might be issue, the lift was working when I stayed. Overall great value for money.

Close to Paddington station &, tube links, The room was a nice size &, we were given a room with 2 double beds. The bathroom was spacious &, the shower was good.

There was no handles on the windows which were old & i didn't feel comfortable opening the windows. The extra lighting ie lights above the beds didn't work.. There was no teaspoons & i asked at reception twice as the 1st time I asked I was told he would bring some but didn't. Probably because he was busy on his phone which I found rude.

Central location, very well connected. Paddington station was 2 min away. Very easy access to all areas of london by train or bus. 15 min by Heathrow express from the airport. Hotel rooms, though small, were basic, neat and clean. It was perfect for a good night's sleep. We got a room facing the main road, it was very vibrant. Staff (Paul and sorry forgot the name of the young lady at reception) were very kind, polite and helpful. Let us do early check in, luggage storage facility is also available.

The lift was not working. So a lot of steps to climb. With our Room on the 3rd floor, it certainly kept us fit.
