The room was spacious and quiet. Even if it was on the ground floor next to a road we hardly herd any noise. The beds and pillows very comfortable. The bathrooms was tiny, but the shower big and powerful. Conveniently located between two subway stations (Lancaster Gate and Paddington)

The entrance was small a bit shabby, it gave off a bad first impression. Thankfully the rooms were much better than the rest.

Room was relatively spacious for London standards, in an elegant older building with rounded windows. Bed was firm and comfortable. Room on the third floor was quiet (little road noise), which I appreciated. That said, the building had no lift, so for those with a lot of luggage, this would be a problem.

The bathroom was small, and the shower stall even smaller. People with larger builds may not fit in the shower. The hotel room door didn't close all the way on its own, and had to be pulled shut. Not a huge problem, as an alarm on the door sounded to alert me it was ajar. After hours one needs to check in at the sister hotel across the street. I learned this after my train was delayed into London and I had to call reception to get access, which required some back and forth. Normally not a big problem, but I had emailed ahead of time that I would be late and was not reminded of the check-in procedure in the hotel response, which was annoying after a long day.

Lovely Georgian building, beautiful big high bay window let the sun in. Design and facilities in bedroom very good (fridge, safe, Nescafe coffee maker, bottled water)

The paint everywhere in the building was scratched, even the wallpsper in my room was scratched. Gave the instant impression, from the front foor upwards that the buildng was unloved. I was expecting a ground floor room as you were adked for a preference. I was one the first floor but steepish staircase up to it - wouldn't recommend to anyone with some disabilities. The floors further up looked even harder. No lift, although a staff member brought my case ip. NO BREAKFAST, but quite a few cafes/restaurants nearby provide breafast at reasonable prices.

room is fabulous and the location was less than half mile to my place of work and the underground is a few hundred yards away so excellent location. There room is always clean and tidy, I use this as a regular place for a pied et Terre while working in town. No frills like food or drinks but plenty of that available in Paddington Praed Street. There is only one road which I will come to in the next section...

First time for me to stay on the top floor and now I know why the guest moan when they get this experience. It is a steep climb and there is no lift access. I'm relatively fit with not too much weight but I was breathing heavily carrying up my bags. On entering there was a lady advanced in years with a family who was complaining bitterly about the lack of an elevator. I'd suggest that if you are post 50 years old you might want to look elsewhere even though I think this really is value for money

Decor, position, cleanliness, in room drinks, comfortable bed and peaceful location

No lift, not an absolute major thing for me but if I had heavy luggage or health issues it’d be difficult. Bathroom a bit awkward layout as small.

The location is great, handy for both Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations, and perfect for a stroll in Hyde Park. The room was clean and well laid out, and the decor was subtle and stylish. Our room had a full-length window that made it wonderfully light. Everything was clean, and it was great to have some extras like a smart TV and Nespresso machine. Although there was some road noise, it wasn't bad for London! All the staff we met were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. We stored our luggage across at the sister hotel, the Westbourne. Very easy and efficient, and more great staff. All in all, an ideal hotel for a working trip with some downtime, and will stay here again.

The bathroom was very compact - the shower didn't have much elbow room and it was difficult to use the sink without splashing the floor.

Its excellent as a Bolt hole, nothing fancy but clean , tidy great location and accessible. I provides the basic requirement for a place to rest you head after a few busy meeting in the evening and an early start in the morning. I will definitely use this again when a busy schedule demands me being in London evening before and the morning afterwards

It is what it is and because I was able to check in between 15:00 and 20:00 it didn't adversely affect me. Though the inconvenience meant that I had to check into the hotel before my first meeting at 18:00 in a location four miles = one hour road distance away. This added then undue stress to the schedule.

location was perfect, near Paddington station and also near Lancaster gate tube station. Lots of nice little restaurants near the hotel, so lots of breakfast options (no breakfast in hotel) Very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was at the corner and had a nice view. The beds were comfortable. We very much liked the extra space with fridge, coffee/tea making facilities (with good tea!). The shower was clean with a powerful stream

I think the wifi password was not correct so we didn't have any wifi whilst staying in the hotel

I like the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff.

I did not like that there was not a lift in the building. We were placed on the 7th floor, so traveling with luggage can be a bit difficult. Keep this in mind when booking and requesting a specific floor.

Quiet and very conveniently located near Paddington, which is easy to get to from Heathrow. Lancaster Gate tube station is also right around the corner. There are only 4 rooms on each floor, and they are behind fire doors in pairs, which prevents hearing doors slamming or people in the hallway. I slept so well! Bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of coffee, and shower was nice and hot.

There’s no lift so you have to take the stairs, which can be hard if you have a lot of luggage. Room was small — but pretty standard for central London.
