Stunning room, lovely staff, perfect location for my work trip to Soho, and for the price you get a lot more than other comparably-priced hotels in the area. Sorry if this is a weird thing to say but the windows actually open in this hotel, which I hadn’t realised until staying in some pretty claustrophobic places was a rarity. And a delight. When I was arriving a couple other guests were cueing up to ask to stay for a few extra nights, which I get 100%. Will be visiting again for sure, loved it.

Truthfully I was so enamoured with this place there’s nothing I outright didn’t like. I’d say the room service menu wasn’t totally to my taste, but it’s not like there’s a shortage of places to eat in the area. I did order breakfast however and it was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of confusion my end as on reception took a bit of extra money from me when I arrived, on top of my booking, which I didn’t fully understand, so maybe it would be good to emphasise whatever this is in their confirmation emails? I assume it’s refundable, but I haven’t actually checked 😂. Anyhow would still stay again.

Hazlitt’s is a charming spot—small, elegant, and full of personality. It’s a townhouse-style hotel with antique furniture and historic touches, but still super comfortable with great air con (a rare find in older buildings like this). The vibe is really cozy and welcoming. Staff super friendly. There’s a cute library and a few sitting rooms where you can relax, plus an honour bar which gives it a bit of a homey feel. The minibar in the room had a great selection too—not just the usual boring stuff. I stayed in a single room that was small but really lovely, with a beautiful clawfoot tub. I didn’t try the breakfast, but I liked that you could have it delivered to your room or eat in one of the lounges instead of a formal dining room. The location is amazing—right in the heart of Soho—but that does mean some nighttime noise. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room on a higher floor. Overall, a great pick if you’re after something with charm and character in a lively part of London.

Charging connections - no USB or USBc ports, which perhaps isn't surprising for an older building - make sure you have a charging device with traditional plug.

This 400-year-old gem of a hotel is an oasis of elegance, comfort and charm, located in the heart of one of lLndon's busiest neighborhoods, an easy walk to shopping, theater, music, restaurants, and bars. The staff totally understands the meaning of service and hospitality. Excellent breakfast delivered to our room was a treat every day. One cautionary note: Not all rooms are accessible by elevator. If stairs are a problem because of mobility issues, ask for an elevator, and they will do their best to employ.

I almost don’t want to write this review because it’s the kind of place you want to keep secret! I’ve been coming to London for years, and this is, hands down, my favourite place. It’s absolutely gorgeous, the decor, the style… it’s sumptuous & luxurious, and every detail is meticulous. Beds are outrageously comfy with the crispiest of linen. The staff are amazing, even being so polite when I was late out of my room due to a call, and letting me sit in the lounge to finish my work. Breakfast in bed was just divine. And the honesty bar.. yeah, that got me into trouble LoL! Thank you to everyone for your polite, professional service. What a treat xx

Room was very well decorated, and had a lovely style to it. Very historic building in a great location. Extremely close to Soho and Theatreland, so perfect for nights out to the theatre and more. TV in the room was very easy to use and you get Free Wi-Fi, It is very simple to cast from a smart phone or tablet straight to the TV - can be done in seconds with no passwords or complicated setup needed, so you can use your own Netflix/Prime/Disney if you want to watch TV in bed. The bathroom had a lovely bath/shower in it, which was very easy to use. We didn't use the in-room mini-bar. However, it looked like it was well stocked. There was also a lovely bar/reading room downstairs with an "honesty bar" in it, where you can just help yourself and write what you had in the book so they could charge it to your room. Everything was easy and although the staff were on-hand 24/7, we didn't need them once.

Be aware, the hotel take a £70 per night deposit from you if you're not paying with a credit card. This was not made clear before arrival, so was a bit of a surprise. It was, however, refunded immediately upon checking out so didn't hinder the stay at all - just plan ahead if you're limited on funds. The bed was also VERY high off the ground, and we had to climb up on to it - I'm 5ft 8 and my partner is 5ft 10, so this was a little surprising - shorter people would have a hard time with this. Depending on which room you're in, some of the floors are also sloped which can be quite disorienting when you're walking around.

The room was absolutely lush. The decore is unique and simply stunning. The arrangements for the sink is interesting - in a fancy cupboard - but totally works. I didn't use the shower - wasn't brave enough - but all facilities were good. Loved that the hotel uses Bumboo (i use them too) as a means to be sustainable. The room was warm and had a surprising amount of products in the fridge and the food cupboard. The only surprise was the lack of a kettle and tea/coffee; however I asked at the reception and was provided a complimentary tea and the kettle. The staff in the hotel is exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The place is a walking distance to West End, and while you're walking to any of the theatres you can grab a drink or go shopping too since there is a busy shopping street nearby.

The only thing to bear in mind is that there is a pub nearby, and with that come loud people. The room has additional windows installed so this muffles the sound a good deal, but still bear in mind that you'll hear loud people just across the road.

Charming cozy boutique hotel centrally located for maximum sightseeing and evening revelry. Bed felt luxuriously comfortable. Old fashioned bathtub was insanely nice, best bath I've ever taken, as were the toiletries. Room amenities were perfect. The hotel is smaller than I had anticipated but the room was wonderful and I enjoyed drinks with friends in the library. Even though I was politely warned about construction noise I never heard any. If you prefer Old World antique to mid-century modern this is the place for you.

I can't think of anything I didn't like

This hotel is an amazing boutique hotel, the staff are brilliant and very attentive especially Patrick, he goes above and beyond, the location is perfect for tube amenities and the night life as well as easy access to Oxford street. Perfect all rounder, we have stayed in the ritz / ham yard and savoy on many occasions and this hotel is up there with the larger hotels, the rooms are beautiful and so clean and quiet and the personal touches like beautiful tea sets on a complimentary tea tray make it feel like home from home. we loved it that much we are returning in November again because of how nice it was last time

There arnt really anything I can pin point. The hotel was having some renovation work done but even the builders weren’t overly noisy

Hazlitt’s is so, so beautiful. I found myself getting lost in its history throughout our stay. The hotel’s decor, and the collection of trinkets scattered around add so much personality to the building.

The only issue we found was the volume of bar-goers on Frith Street in the early hours. However, this is probably to be expected on a weekend, especially in such a busy area like Soho. Although, in future we’ll probably request a room on the other side of the hotel just to make our next stay even more relaxing.

The staffs are friendly, professional and helpful. I love when I entered the hotel and it was very quiet; in contrast to the chaotic London outside. The library and the work room are nice. Our junior suite room was also very beautiful.

Our duplex room was very goo, nearly perfect. Only one point that I didn’t like is the toilet. The toilet was decorated by being hided in the bench cabinet. It’s cool but not comfortable though.
