We had a great stay with my son. SPACE and SECURE FEELING. Various activity rooms are amazing bonuses. Huge garden where is everything for everyone. Close to Earl's Court (5 min walk) station and 15 minutes to national History/ Science Museum. It was our first stay in a such arrangement where Students voluntarily run the Hotel and live there too. I felt like a student again. Rooms are pretty basic but have all we needed. I had a memory lane moment remembering how I used to live in the student Hostel myself. Emotional moments. Great Hotel for families with kids again due to space and variety of activities. My son loved to explore the hotel. No TVs in the rooms was a bonus for us. Who would sit in watch TV when there is so much to see in London. Staff is super friendly. It is Christian Hotel and it has that welcoming feel. We were allowed to leave our suitcases after checking out (check out is early - at 10.00) and my son was allowed to used toilets after we checked out as anything could happen to kids needs. Great Receptionists, great chefs - who loved their FOOD and what they do as much as we enjoyed it. Sharing food is sharing Love. Huge tasty Breakfasts and Dinners. Home made fresh food. We were also invited to share lunch with the Students but we had to go. We will be back staying there again all the way from Surrey.

Its not that we did not like something. Just an observation to help others: 1 lift for 5 floors. Obviously as its an old building. So dont take huge suitcases. 10.00 check out - understandable - but unrealistic with kids especially on holidays- waking them up/ feeding/ breakfast/ washing/ packing up ......already midday) Make sure you go to bed early)).

We stayed for 12 nights recently and overall it was a great experience, staff was friendly and helped deal with any issues we had. Meals were good and a nice option even if we didn't use them regularly. Rooms were basic but had a good amount of storage space and were clean which is what was important to us. Location was great and between two underground stations a five minute walk away.

Because of the length of stay (12 nights) we found the breakfast lacking a bit in variety by the end and had to ask for room cleaning and towels every few days (neither was a big issue for us though and staff was helpful when we asked).

I was planning to made a reservation for 4 night in a prestige area but was looking for a moderate price and required laundry service and kitchen, as we are travelling with 1 year old baby. This option looked suitable and i was not expecting a lot, a a lot of reviews mentioned it is a studen dormitory, but our stay was exceeding all expectations! Clean, safe and convinient bathroom. Very friendly and super helpfull stuff! An absolutely secure location, great breakfasts and dinner in the beautiful garden made our stay so easy and comfy, we really were feeling hiome away from home! Not all of the hotels can offer a teraase breakfast and prices are double, while here the food selection, cleannes and a very quite location just in the center pleasantly surprised us. For the family stayers - the laundry is cheap and always avaliable, there is an iron rtoom, a lot of space where you can play with a baby and a lot of toys! Spacy rooms, clean and neat! Yes there are student (very quite and intelligent guys) who are living here during summer period, but they are not louder then tourists in any hotel. And it means the facility is suitable for a long time stay) Strongly reccomend it! The manager helped us a ot during late check. Self check out was easy and didnt cuase any issues.

Within walking distance of Earl's court subway station which has access to both the district line and the piccadilly line, which for visiting London is more than enough to connect you to any touristy spot of any kind, including the airport or the National Rail stations. The neighborhood is picturesque and the building itself shows that it is a students accommodation, which is not necessarily a bad thing, despite traveling only with other adults i can see this being a very comfortable option for families with children as it offers recreational rooms with a Ping-Pong table as well as kids playgrounds in the surprisingly spacious garden. The reception staff was very friendly and quickly explained me the process of entering the premises with a key fob for the automatic doors to ensure the guests safety in the after-hours when there's no one at the reception. The rooms are "roomy" in size, no AC options but good air circulation, as the purpose of my trip was tourism i barely spent time in the premises but i couldn't find anything negative to say, as i understand this is not a commercial chain hotel which is very clearly shown on the accommodation description (make sure to read the specifics ahead of time), which means it may not be available year-round for obvious reasons. The breakfast and dinner options are filling, delicious and varied with vegetarian options for those looking for that specifically. Adding to the location and the food included, there's simply no better option in this area of London for the price. Everyone in the staff was very friendly and i wouldn't mind staying here again.

Breakfast + evening meal were good with a choice of hot food and plenty of help yourself cereals/ salads. The staff were lovely, the whole place was spotless and our bedroom was spacious, although the bathroom was a ,little cramped. The location was good for walking to the V+A + the natural history museum. For further afield the Earls court tube station is a short, pleasant walk away with plenty of eateries and 2 supermarkets. Best of all for us was the garden at the back, a cool green place to sit with picnic benches, loungers, shady trees aound the perimeter and well tended borders.

The weather was exceptionally hot and the solitary desk fan was fighting a losing battle with the heat, despite the open window. Tea, coffee and a kettle were provided but no longlife milk capsules which was a pity as the fresh milk we bought went off in the heat. The only mirror was above the bathroom sink making it difficult to style hair using a dryer ( no plug in the bathroom ).

Lee Abbey is very attractive place to stay in nice and peaceful area of London. It is situated up to 15 minutes of walking to V&A museum and other sightseeings. The bus stop and underground station are very close. The room was comfortable and clean, food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I liked the beautiful garden with benches a lot. They have a storage room for the luggage if you arrive before check-in time and leave after check-out time. That was very useful in our case. If I will come to London again, I will check if they will have a free room. I highly recommend this place.

A fantastic place to stay. Great for visiting London and going sightseeing. The staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. The room was very basic, ( to be expected for student accommodation) however the rest of the amenities were fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the garden and the games room. The food options were good and tasty, excellent food.

When we first turned the shower on, the water was dark brown and smelt old. After running the shower for a while the water ran clear. The following morning, we checked the shower again, and found it was running fine, no brown water or smell.

Super for families - a garden, lounge, games room, kitchen, laundry room. Breakfast and dinner included in price (lunch on Sundays instead of dinner). Welcoming friendly, safe. Perfect location in Kensington, 5 min walk to Earl's Court tube, 2 mins from shops, cafes, pubs.

Room was a little small but manageable. Reception not always open and not at all at night so ensure you have everything you need eg laundry tokens during the day. Rooms cleaned approx every 3/4 days although we were informed of this in advance.

Lee Abbey was a great place to stay. You have to take into consideration that it is primarily student accommodation and not a hotel. The rooms are fairly basic (no TV) but there is a tea tray with kettle tea coffee etc. I was allocated a disabled access room ( though not requested) which is next to the main entrance and reception. This could be a bit noisy at times but as it was for one night and I was out all evening it wasn't a big issue, and was quiet when I returned. The room is spacious , with a large bathroom ( wet room) with 2 small shower gels provided . The beds were comfortable to sleep in , although a little wobbly if you moved about too much.A very good evening meal and breakfast is included which was delicious Everyone was very happy and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there..
