Great location, exceptional helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast fresh pastries and gorgeous filter coffee, very calm and welcoming environment - ideal spot after busy sightseeing. It was a very clean and comfortable room. Would stay again. Don't expect up to date decor but you will get a really great London hotel with all you need near the tube for a very fair price in London.

I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel staff. They are all wonderful: Mandy, the ‎manager, and all the ladies working at the reception. They are attentive, quick to find solutions and fix problems (there was a small issue with the shower), and, most importantly, they are genuinely nice. The hotel is super clean. Wi-Fi is ‎fantastic. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is wonderful. The hotel is situated a five-minute walk from Earl’s Court Underground Station. The area is home to numerous food stores, ‎restaurants, laundries, and other facilities. The location is safe, and the area is nice-looking, with a ten-minute walk to the parks and the Kyoto Garden. Highly recommended!‎

This was a charming, clean, and excellently managed property with the kindest staff. The beds were very soft and comfortable, and it was quiet at night, with that quintessentially charming British decor. I can't say enough about the helpful staff—Tamoko and the rest were lovely. Excellent cappuccinos too! :) The area is fantastic—very walkable to Kensington and Kensington Gardens, and close to several metro stations. Everything was spotless, the air conditioning worked well, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning.

I absolutely loved the hotel. I stayed in a single room, with a very comfortable bed, nice table and everything needed. The bathroom was completely renovated and spacious (not only for London standards). The staff were extremely friendly, always ready to help and just super nice. The continental breakfast was good, fresh and gluten-free options were provided upon request!

The hotel is located in a lovely quiet area of London and the travel options, especially on the tube, suited us perfectly - even arriving from Heathrow as there were lifts at both ends of our quick journey along the Piccadilly Line.

Location is great, the entire personnel is polite and helpful, the porridge in the morning was excellent.

The Victorian rooms vibe is not for everyone but we did appreciate the historical significance.

We had one of the cheaper rooms, so were delighted to find air conditioning and a fridge and the room was really quite spacious. A nice view out over period houses, streets and gardens. Even though we were on the fourth floor, the water pressure and the shower were exceptionally good and the bath was very comfortable. The hotel was nicely decorated throughout and extremely clean. There was a lift - a bonus which not all hotels have! All the staff were wonderful, polite, efficient, chatty and extremely friendly. The receptionist even took us up to the fourth floor to take us to our room on our arrival. They went out of their way to be helpful and let us check in several hours early. We were also able to leave our luggage for the day after checking out. The hotel was only about a 12 minute, easy walk from Earl's Court underground station and was in quite a prestigious and quiet area. There was almost a village feel to the area near the station and we found a great pub on route to the hotel and had breakfast one morning in a little French patisserie/cafe. There are lots of little shops and eateries around. We walked to the Royal Albert Hall on our first night, stopping for dinner on the way, and then walked back, about a 20 - 25 minute walk. On the last day it was only about a 20 minute walk to the Natural History Museum. Underground links into central London were quick and easy.

The Continental breakfast was £15 and £22 for a full English breakfast per person. We had breakfast out in the mornings. That was good too as we could have a bit of a lie-in and take our time. There didn't appear to be a hotel bar, but that didn't matter because we found the pub!

A nice small hotel with a good location nearby public transportation (very handy when you come straight from Heathrow Airport with Piccadilly Line!) . The room was tidy and clean, beds quite good and the toilet clean and modern. There was also enough warm water! The continental breakfast was fresh and worked well also (without separate notice) for a person who can't eat gluten. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were disappointed that the English breakfast cost 7 pounds extra per person - we didn't notice that from Booking.com. The hotel is much smaller and somewhat shabbier than it looks like in the Booking.com photos. The lobby is very small and the not-renovated toilet in the public area flushed very poorly. However, everything was clean.

Good location & comfortable room

Location, location, location! Kensington is a terrific area of London. It feels like a small neighbourhood, but it’s close to so many things that a tourist needs. Earl’s Court Underground is less than 10 minutes walk away. Heathrow Airport is just a Piccadilly Tube ride away. So are all the museums and great attractions. Lots of restaurants abound with ethnic fare from all over the world alongside pubs. It’s just an easy walk to Kensington High Street for fantastic shopping. Also it’s a very easy walk to Kenton Gardens for a lovely walk in the park. The breakfasts, though not sumptuous, had lots of choices of juices, yogurts, breads and danish, cheese and cold meats, and very good coffee.

The bathroom needs upgrading. Grab bars especially in the bathtub for safely getting into and out of the very deep tub.
