Good location - next to the train station, supermarkets; shops, and eating places. There are also buses to get one to sightseeing and other places of interest. Located in a quiet area Another extra extra bonus is free lovely dinners and breakfast. Rare to find a hostel that goes an extra mile by not only offering free awesome dinners and breakfast but also allows residents to prepare their own meals. Nice and well equipped kitchen with big eating spaces extending to the garden. Free teas and coffees are offered 24/7. Members of staff are amazing, very friendly, welcoming, and ever so helpful. Well done.

Maybe consider lifts to help residents who have difficult climbing the stairs.

The location is perfect. It is very close to Earl’s Court underground station from which you can go wherever you want in London. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide you with free breakfast

The beds are not comfortable. There is no air conditioner in the room so keep it in your mind if you are not okay with stuffy room. What is more, they charge you 10 pounds extra as a deposit during your check-in. This is unnecesary as they say they give you a refund when you check out and they really do it but I still couldn’t get my money back from the bank.

The staff is very responsive. The place is wonderful. Breakfast is quite filling and served well. The kitchen is spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Toilets and showers for public use are clean!

The Internet in the room did not connect, although we told the staff several times. They said they would call a technician. Perhaps this is a temporary problem. The beds squeak a lot. If someone spins at night, others sleep is so noisy. The mattresses in the beds are crumbling because they are old. We should change it if possible.

Without forgot the grey and white tabby cat Tyson :" Chief Mouser of the British ,Foreign and Commonwealth Saint James Backpakers Office" The hostel is housed in a beautiful Victorian house just a 5-minute walk from Earl’s Court tube station, 500 meters from a Tesco supermarket, with a small Sainsbury’s on the corner, and only two stops from Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Marketwith a spacious outdoor courtyard, decorated with London-style graffiti and furnished with comfortable seating. It was clear which was my bed, the room was warm and the bedding comfy

I had an amazing stay here! I have traveled all over the world and have stayed in dozens of hostels, and SJB is definitely one of the best I've ever stayed at! The hostel has a great vibe, with lots of activities going on, but also enough space to just chill and get some work done. The common areas were a vibrant area, with space for everyone to do their thing. While good times are being had, it is not a party hostel. The guests were all very respectful of each other, no excessive noise, everyone cleaned up after themselves, etc. The dorm rooms were quiet and only used for sleeping / resting - as should in a hostel - which made for a wonderful afternoon nap, and good nights off sleep! The beds were okay-ish (not complaining), there was a lockerbox for each bed (bring your own padlock), and the rooms were clean and tidy. The showers were really nice, you rarely find such decent showers in a hostel. The staff is very helpful and super friendly, it is obvious they are having a good time there as well! I have to make a specific point of the best breakfast ever served by a hostel! One staff member makes eggs, beans and pancakes for guests on request?? There are hotels that can't even pull that off. Kudos! They also offer a FREE dinner to the first 30 people that sign up. Of not joining the dinner, you can use the kitchen to cook your own meals. The kitchen is clean and tidy, the staff really keeps on top of it! Besides all of that, fantastic location, fairly quiet and clean neighborhood, close to an underground station that connects you to the rest of London quickly. Last but not least: this hostel is for all ages. From families with young kids, to retirees.. Average age was probably around 35-40. This is absolutely wonderful if you're looking for coziness yet enough time and space to rest! Like I said, not a party hostel, but lots a fun stuff going on :)

The mixed bathrooms were often wet and not as clean as you'd like. Bring slippers!

The location is very convenient in a quiet street. The breakfast is great, with many options and you get warm food. They have female-only rooms, so that’s good. The common spaces are very comfortable.

I didn’t like the fact that it is allowed to smoke weed in the garden and outside, so the odor still gets inside, specially at night when we opened the window so the room wouldn’t get stuffy. The bathrooms weren’t very clean, specially the showers. The bed linen didn’t smell clean, it seemed like they made the bed with the same bedsheets from the previous guest.

I stayed at St. James Backpackers in London and had an amazing experience! The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming – always helpful and full of good vibes. The place is clean, well-kept, and perfect for travelers looking for a comfortable and chill spot in the city. One of the best things is that they provide food, with breakfast in the morning and again in the evening – such a rare and awesome bonus! Honestly, I highly recommend it to everyone, whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. A special shoutout to Mattias, who was especially kind and helpful throughout my stay. Thank you so much!

The location is very good. It's located in the central of London and very near the earl's court station. The hotel provided free breakfast and dinner with your registering. The sfaff are very nice and helpful.

the bathroom for only female is downstairs and not provided with heat system so I felt very cold.
