I have stayed at Lexham Gardens Hotel a few times over the years and the staff are always very friendly and very helpful, the rooms are clean and well equiped with everything you need, and the breakfast is very good with quite long breakfast buffet hours until 10am. The area is very good generally, with close transport links.

The only unfortunate thing is that if you stay in one of the rooms towards the back there is now a club / bar next door which is the reason I did not give full points for comfort (noise until late). It was still overall a very comfortable stay and I was not there for business or a course or exam etc so did not have to get up early. I would recommend booking a room directly to ensure you get one that is not facing towards the back.

The hotel's location was perfect, just 7 minutes away from Earls Court underground station, there is a restaurant opposite which would have been perfect for dinner, although we were extremely tired after the whole day walking and sightseeing so decided to stay in the hotel and we opted for buying some food from a Sainsbury's just 5 minutes away from the hotel. The check-in was extremely easy, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The Deluxe Family room was a good size with just what you need to rest and continue your sightseeing in London, with complementary water, coffee, tea and biscuits, and a kettle, plus all the toiletries you would need and a hair dryer. The breakfast was perfect, full English and continental options, nice coffee machine and fruit juices, perfect to start your day before another long day walking through London. My husband, my 3 boys and I enjoyed our stay in the hotel, and would definitely book to stay there again.

There was just a tissue on the floor, which might have been easily missed under the bed, but apart from that, the room was very clean and beds nicely made with fresh linen and towels.

Location is very good, close to 2 subway stops and near to gift shops and a Sainsbury's supermarket. It is also possible to hail a taxi on the main raod. Breakfast was good - there were 8 hot dishes available plus yoghourt, fruit, cereal, etc. Hotel only provides breakfast but there are restaurants very nearby for other meals. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Marie at the reception desk. There is an electric kettle in the room and free coffee and other drinks are also available 24 hours a day from a machine in the dining area. Bed was comfortable.

The size of the room - it was tiny. We booked a double and there was only just enough room for the bed with a space to walk around the bed but only for one person at a time. There was nowhere to put a suitcase or unpack anything. No chair to sit on. There was a small hanging area (no door) to hang a coat or jacket. Bathroom also very small. We had a standard room - I am not sure if there are larger rooms, I didn't notice when I booked, but I would check for any future booking.

Excellent location for busses, the tube, and walking. Basic, but a very clean room, and a very comfy bed. Great two nights of sleep. Good choice for breakfast. Friendly lady on the reception, and a no-hassel check in and out. Already booked again for next year....I cannot fault the price of our stay for the location of the hotel. Ignore some of the reviews. - if you want 4 or 5 star, then pay at least double what you pay here!

Just one thing - There is a gorgeous lounge area which is decorated beautifully for Christmas. It would be nice to be able to get a drink and make use of the comfy sofas.

We loved our stay at the Lexham Gardens. The beds were very comfy. It almost felt like we were sleeping in our beds at home. The bathroom was very practical. We had requested a hairdryer due to the voltage and were very happy to find one waiting for us in the bathroom. The hotel was near 3 tube lines and very well located. Located in Kensington & Chelsea, we were close to almost everything. It was a 15-minute walk to Kensington Gardens and a 3-minute walk to the Earl's Court station and many coffee shops and pubs. The breakfast was okay (not a big fan of beans and eggs) but the croissants and pain au chocolat were fresh. The coffee was also good. The machine had a diversity of coffee options. The staff was always present for us.

The rooms were a bit small, but they were very comfortable.

As others have mentioned before, the location is very convenient for traveling around zones 1 and 2 and visiting the main places of interest, as well as for traveling to Luton in the middle of the night on Saturday, which was important to us. There are a lot of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area. We stayed there for 5 nights with two kids, and only used the room to sleep. The reason why there are such controversial reviews is that some of the rooms have been renovated, while the rest haven't. We stayed in the Deluxe Family for 5, and this type of rooms is renovated (don't expect anything wow, just repainted walls, new carpet and curtains, and maybe a new shower). It's best to call up the hotel and inform yourselves upfront what type of room you'll be getting before you make the reservation. The staff was nice and welcoming. Check in and out are possible at any time.

There is a very strong smell in the room of stale cooking. The light in the bathroom is very low, there's no light above the sink. The shower stream is very weak. The mattresses are very soft and uncomfortable.

Amazing location, good amenities, fab size room and brilliant price. Very clean and well presented room With plenty of space. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room inc much needed bottles of water on arrival. Couldn’t hear other guests.

The tv was attached to the wall low down above bed so one person had to move bed out so as not to head bump the tv. Difficult to open the windows. No safety on the window blind string.

The room was nice and cosy, really comfortable mattress, and they had a fan we could use which was really good as it was really hot. Given the view an N/A as we were on the ground floor below street level, but the windows were secure with mesh over the entire window which meant we could have that open at night without fear of anyone wandering in. The room overall was smaller but great value for money and had everything we needed like towels, shampoo & conditioner, shower gel. Location was only 10 minutes from the tube so really great connections for all lines.

The location is excellent. The staff excellent. The lounge and main staircase beautiful. Lets itself down by a few, cheap and easy to remedy things in the rooms. For example no mirror in the bedroom. No table, just put up a painted plank under a mirror. That would work and paint the pine cupboard. It looks like a top less coffin! But it was a pleasant stay. Thank you

Our room was great, right up the first flight of stairs and the location was awesome! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very pleasant!

Our room was next to a hookah bar which got really loud late into the night. Not very family friendly in that specific location as far as noise goes. The bathrooms were also incredibly small. That's definitely more preference on my end because I am almost two meters tall.
